I found an old email from 2009. I would've been 17. I'm 29 now and in that email this song was in it. Listening to this decades later. Just is so peaceful and precious. My young soul knew what good music was haha
people say they like the acoustic solo version more, but I actually prefer this one. the bird noises, the piano, the flute, and the drums all combine beautifully

I think you are confusing the title with another song called 'Hummingbird' - written by Don Robertson and made famous by many other artists, including Leon Russell who John has played live with. This song is, 100% John Mayer's. The only album/CD this appears on is As/Is - Philadelphia, PA/Hartford, CT. 2004. Song is pretty old. I also wished he recorded it on an album, but it never happened. There are many recordings on RUclips and sites to download live recordings.
