Waiting on the day when we get a John Mayer Tiny Desk Concert. Please NPR! :)
There has to be other songs sung/recorded for this session. There's no way John Mayer, the man himself, went all the way down to the NPR studios, where someone, probably a team, had set up a whole bunch of cameras, lights, instruments, recording stuff, monitoring stuff, etc etc, just to record one single 4 minute number? Come on NPR, we want the rest, at least reply to a comment and let us know what the story is?

Best freakin Mayer's song. His show last week here in Austin was awesome. He has a unique way to write about normal emotions/stages that a person goes through life.

This song is so relevent to every listener in some way . He paints that picture so well . True musicians create a mindset that you want to revisiit over and over again and music gives you the power to do just that . Simply incredible .... thanks john .
was just giving the album a listen and really fell in love with this song in particular. the lyrics are amazing in painting a story and picture of things people can truly relate to their own lives and it gave me a lump in my throat. beautiful.

What chords is he playing at 2:06 - 2:22
11 months too late, I'm not very good at weird variations of chords and what they're called exactly, but the three chords are Bm (2-2-4-4-3-2), some variation of A (5-5-7-7-7-5) and some variation of a D (10-10-12-12-12-10)
It's a Bm7 (x-2-4-2-3-2), then D (x-5-7-7-7-5) and finally G (x-10-12-12-12-10)
Going back to the acoustic clarity type of chords / phrasing. At the end “ooooooooooo” bit .
I Guess it’s probably something like:
x24430 (Bm(add4)
x57070 (D(add4,add9)
x 10 12 0 12 0 (G6 - not sure if he’s letting the high E ring here though, what would make a regular G)

NPR stinks for many reasons... but especially for not hiring a cameraman to properly capture John playing his guitar. Many people like to see how he is playing his songs.
