the main thing about Luka, he is a killer. A psycho who smiles in your face as he demoralizes you. He thinks the crowd and all the other players are there just so he can put on a show. It's his party and he wants everyone to have a good time. Mavs about to party, brother.

Lively is an extremely rare find, as a guy who can produce immediate results. If omax was ready he would get pt. But he isn’t so he doesn’t it’s that simple.

Mavs in 6. Wolves are dangerous, but once they lose focus, they are softer than charmin toilet paper. We've already seen it with Gobert. Kat is notorious for it. And Edwards just completely shrank in a game 7. Luka doesnt shrink. Kyrie has been here before. We have dogs in PJ and DJJ. And we have what the nuggets didnt.. Two real centers, and depth. If Kleber comes back during this series, that's just a bonus.

I wanted the Nuggets, just to shut up the US media. Luka vs Jokic wouldve been their biggest nightmare! Now we will get Edwards di** riding 24/7 from every "expert" untill the series is over. Well we have to live with that. The media will not give us any props and will only talk about the Wolves and Edwards, win or loose.
That being said, we need Luka to be 100% mentally focussed. No careless TO, no complaining to the refs... just 100% of everything he has left! The Wolves will not hard double him or Kyrie as much as the Thunder did. Not even close. McDaniels will play him 1 on 1, most likely Edwards will defend Kyrie. They will try to lead them into Gobert around the basket. Same way we did with SGA/J-Dub. The series wont be easy, but I think we have a true chance. Edwards has its ups, but also some downs. So we need constant output from our 2 stars. No 30% FG games from Luka, no 9 point Kyrie games... we need our guys to be consistent. Then I see us winning this in 6 and be finally back to the Finals.
Yeah, at first it was Shai, now Ant. Cannot listen to these clowns anymore. So annoying that Jokic teammates became ghosts in the second half. That Ant hype is hilarious. He basically jumps from 45 point to 12 point games all the time and gets carried by his team's defense. I guess nowadays everybody is can be called the new MJ when they are American and not as soft as KD. I loved that "dawg" Antman when he choked and became a chihuahua in the FIBA semifinals against Germany.

Sure didn't need help getting 57 wins and being the media favorite. I mean, they were literally advertising OKC/DAL game 7 in the first half of game 6, an elimination game...bet they wish they could have that precious TV time back to use it for another Wingstop or AT&T commercial. 😂

In wanted Luka vs Jokic series but I honestly think Minnesota might be a better matchup for the Mavs. They will have a hard time scoring against Mavs defense. Mavs will have too, but they are now used to hard, physical defense after the Clippers and OKC series. At the end, I feel better having Luka + Kyrie in the 4th than Ant + Kat.

Irving. Because he seems to able to read the game situations. He knows when to turn up and when to allow others to take over. Luka as great as he is. Still is not mentally tough enough to lock in and Irving seems to provide the veteran presence needed when things does not go Luka's way.
Kyrie was dogshit this series, I’m sorry but when it comes to mentally tough lets not pretend the guy who stepped up in the two crucial games is softer than the guy who went anonymous because of a double team.
ABSOLUTELY! KYRIE is helping Luka grow up. KYRIE can score any time he wants to, but he isn’t trying to outdo Luka he is providing the TEAM with what is needed he is the TRUE LEADER cause Luka has a whole lot to learn and KYRIE is the TEACHER.
Kyrie helps Luka calm down and relax. Luka doesn't wanna let kyrie down. Stop hating on Ky or Luka, they are both important and each bring something important.

Reminder, the 5 game loosing streak post trade was solved by Kidd starting Derrick Jones Jr (aka Jonesy) at 2/SG because he could fight over and through the hi PNR screens better than Josh Green. Subsequently his defensive chemistry along with PJ Washington was next level..
Reminder, DJJr played the 4/PF before the trade. So now, at his correct position 2/SG, he still knows where PJ is at all times defensively, because he played that position. The reasons for chemistry go on and on. Soo excited for this young team's future!
It's so wild to me that Green's biggest flaw is navigating screens...with the rugby background you'd think he'd go through and destroy people and get lots of offensive fouls called, not just get completely lost on screens like he does.

In playoffs the rotations shorten normally. But that said the Dalla advantage is they have 7 x factors from the outside.... So you of course have Luka , Kyrie and the 2 bigs Lively/Gafford...But from there look at the outside shooting...Any of these guys can get hot on a given night. Pj, DJJ, Tim Hardaway Jr, Josh Green, Dante Exum, Jaden Hardy, Maxi Kleber ( hopefully back for Game 1 or 2). Everyone of those guys have had big nights from the outside this year. Exum for example was Mr clutch in regular season ( Laker game, Houston game, Sacramento game).Quitely Dallas has a deeper reservoir of options that will propel them to Finals... Mavs in 6..

As a mavs fan, I'm with Isaac on this one, MIN will be a really tough matchup. But I still believe that with the proper gameplan, we can still win this!
I also think here are the keys to the game:
1. Luka's 3s should hit. (Pick n roll to switch with Gobert) As long as he's hitting his 3s, MIN will blitz him and it's 4 on 3 that opens up the floor for everyone.
2. When MIN blitz Luka (and I know they will) Luka should take care of the ball and avoid the TO. And just incase he loses the ball and they fouled him but isn't called, stop complaining to the refs and go back for defense like what he did in Game 5! Focus on the game. 🙂
3. Kyrie should be aggressive from the start!
4. Everyone must hit their 3s (and I'm pretty sure they'll be wide open)
5. We must play big, fast and aggressive defense (hoping to have Maxi back ASAP)

Cleveland KYRIE is a SCORER only This KYRIE is a LEADER AND A TEACHER. LUKA Doesn’t need just another Scorer he needed KYRIE to teach him how to be better TEAM PLAYER and play off the ball sometimes and stop crying at the Ref’s while his man is at the other end scoring cause he crying to the referee. Brunson was a scorer, but that’s it. Luka is a BETTER PLAYER because of KYRIE.

Great show! I listen all the time from up here in the Twin Cities. I would really like to see Luca win an NBA championship. However, can someone please tell me where he is currently on the all-time triple double list? For a while he was tied with Harden and then I believe Chamberlain. But I thought he surpassed Chamberlain and his currently at 82 triple doubles. Am I correct in all this? And if so, why hasn’t anybody made more of a big deal about it?

In 2022, Andrew Wiggins gave Luka problems. I hope he learned from that and is able to deal with McDaniels defense. As physical as Ant will try to get with Luka, Dort shown Luka that. Ant is much bigger than Jalen Williams so Kai does have his hands full.

As crazy as it sounds this could be Dwight powell’s series. He’s always played great vs Minnesota and is the antidote to the size issues on the front line. His movement in the middle of the lane and unselfishness leads to good shots and energy. You can’t play PJ 48 minutes so this might be the cure to KAT ,Naz and Gobert’s superior length and skill. He’s just a Timberwolves killer.
