Hi Guys, in this video im talking about comparing prices of a dozen Banggood woodworking handtools. ( Veiko Brand ).
I compare them against the 'LIKE FOR LIKE' versions of the Woodpeckers own brand tools, from both USA and UK suppliers!
The price difference is pretty shocking considering the Banggood products are a pretty close match to the Big Woodpeckers brand.
Im tempted to talk about them now but I have to hold back, so defo worth a watch.
    Thanks Ryan

Great comparison. Without going into western perceived ideas about working conditions in China and the ethics of copying products what is clear is not the cheapness of the banggood stuff but the overpricing of the USA stuff.
Personally when I watch US based woodworking channels I wonder how furniture was made before the advent of CNC machines! I think some of the content creators would need a fancy jig to dispense toilet roll 😅

They’re cheaper because they do not pay for research and development. They’re cheaper because their salaries are not fair. I’m not against bangood, but if you make an honest comparison between prices, you should also consider these aspects.

I know that woodpeckers is made in the US, but does that justify the triple in price.
Here in Australia the prices are even higher with lower quality at big box stores for products made in China.
So I've switched v to Bangood and AliExpress, instead of big box stores. It has the added benefit of cutting out shareholders.
Ideally I'd have bought from manufacturers in Australia, but there are only a few remaining

I think you might be surprised if, as I have, you ever visited China. No I don't agree with a lot of their system but neither do I think the West has a blameless record in many areas of human rights. Guess nobody in your circle of friends or family owns an iPhone? Or maybe you can explain to me why Tesla owners are delighted their car came from the Shanghai factory? Remove Chinese manufactured good from the shelves of your country and see what is left.
Chinese manufacturers produce some great stuff and some crap too. If I had my choice I'd buy British but that ship sailed long ago.

If your conscience with regards to buying Chinese products where they kill minorities at will, reneged on the deal with the UK for Hong Kong being a democratically run, If you are happy to pay for kids to make China Militarily stronger which will never end well, if you are happy to support a country which never and I say never respect copyright then fill your boots. A lot of US companies rip you off, because there are people out there willing to pay crazy amounts of money for things that cost pennies to make. Americans are kind of stupid at the moment of buying. They almost never think about what the real manufacturing price might be. Woodpecker is a good product but waaaaay overpriced.

I don't remember if it was on aliexpress or banggood, it is usable but just not quality like most of the tools. I understand comparing the price but how are you comparing the quality of the tools if you do not have the tools to see and feel. I can see trying to get tools on the cheaper side but then at the end, you get what you pay for. Shipping is shipping if I want an item I pay what it takes. I think a lot of us will. I don't think you should compare pricing when you do not compare quality.

I don't agree that you will save money from some of the tools, bacause you will face so much problems working with them... Also if you make a video after a year or so, i am interested if this tools will still do the work! The clamping square's for example are very good example... I have the Woodpecker's one's and i can say that they are AMAZING! Very easy to use even with one hand, which is impossible with the cheap ones. T-Square have a major difference in the real life too even if they look the same on the pictures. Someone in the comments sad that square is a square... Yes it is, if it is REALLY SQUARE 😉 I am also not sure how durable this tools are... Are they laser ingraved and so on...
So if you buy this cheap buy a few times...it will not be so cheap anymore and most important it will not do the work and will not save you time...
