Example, show how to choose a monochrome color palette and show what what an incorrect one looks like. Sorry for being so wordy but it would help to see in some instances exactly what you're saying.
If I may contribute to your topic with an experience with a German channel. I had been watching a German lady who gave fashion tips for quite a while. She often demonstrated what was wrong in her eyes. Excluded certain colors completely (gray for example---, a color I approve of). I felt more and more uneasy and was very happy when I found Beth one day. There is no arrogance about her. She is a classy lady and comes over as self confident but benevolent. Great tips, I have one more: I always make sure that my clothes are properly ironed/steamed wrinkle-free. I agree rumply linen is fine, but I lime to start out with it crisp, then forget about it. I also make sure my shoes and accessories are in really good shape. I see so many outfits, even on YT stylists, ruined because they don’t bother to get out even the sharp packing and shipping creases. Often, if that’s done initially, it doesn’t have to be repeated, like with silk scarves and knits.

Pare down the jewelry. Pair would be an oxymoron as it means two , and can mean more. Pare means cut down.
