I like to use the akimbo slipshot arcane for 65% ammo efficiency, then I can use Guass' augment 'thermal transfer' for viral heat. That way I play like a speeding missile always gliding through the air and mach rushing.
Acolytes or demolysts mostly. Because I swapped out thermal sunder, it's comfortable having quick armor strip with akarius for anything that doesn't immediately die. 2 basic emeralds are fine since that'll full strip most enemies. Tauforged is a little better vs acolytes or anything else with a status cap.
The Energy Nexus mod is kinda useless imo. You dont get to generate energy when kinetic plating and the redline is running which both counts as channeling abilities and are necessary on gauss
They are considered channeling abilities for some interactions like with seismic bond, but energy nexus still generates energy during them. Energy nexus doesn't work during mach rush, though. But the build definitely doesn't need it, both it and streamline are just there for comfort

Good idea. Aerial Gauss is a lot of fun, I've been memeing with the aim glide mods on him so I'll for sure try that arcane.
