That’s the whole point. Again and again the early episodes show that Mickey is a needy trainwreck and Gus is a dorky doormat, and they basically shouldn’t work together at all, but… they do. That’s Love.
Yeah, and I love that it doesn’t dwell on it or show her overreacting - her eyes just widen slightly, there’s a trace of a smile and a flicker of recognition that there’s more to Gus than she thought, and then she just barges in and is her usual chaotic self. Other shows would have milked this moment, for Love it’s just a moment.
I gotta say, this arrangement sounds better than the original. Pity they don't have an official version without M interrupting. Actually the whole show had surprisingly good music.
