    big Mal loved Middlesbrough, he only managed them for two years in the early 1980's but he never forgot his time there and returned to live out the rest of his life in the local area when he finally retired from football many years later. Clough loved Middlesbrough too and said one of his his biggest regrets was never being given the opportunity to manage his home town club.

    @SeventiesMania That's a "World of Sport" tie.
    Cloughie and Big Mal were like chalk and cheese but what phenomenal football coaches they were and treated each other with enormous respect. Legends.
    Imagine seeing this nowadays...?

    Clough was born and bred in Boro but said he would walk up the A19 on broken glass to manage Sunderland. Says a lot about the smoggies.
