- Let’s meet 2020 Hyundai Venue Test Drive with narrative & opinion. Hi Guys. Today, we have in-depth review of 2020 Hyundai Venue, the subcompact SUV from Hyundai. Let’s see what this little guy can do on the road! ^^
Hyundai Venue
1.6L SmartStream
123hp@ 6,300rpm
113lb.ft@4,500
CVT - FF
Man you thrash these cars...i love it,pushing the limits
Just want to show you how these guys take corners at the limit. thank you Kamasuk for tuning in and please do support us by subscribing. thanks.
123 HP and with you driving 200 HP
Well, it handles great, so i felt confident. Thanks Nilson.
The venue is a very good vehicle we've had it for a few months we really enjoy it.
One if not the best review of the Venue! You really push it to the limit! Thank you!
American subscriber here! 🇺🇸
You have sold me on the Venue, I’m attending my local auto show next month to see one up close and schedule a test drive. South Korea has been killing it lately with cool, affordable, and reliable automobiles lately. 🇰🇷
Thanks for the awesome videos!!
Glad you like this all new Hyundai Venue. Yes, it is small but very solid looking and driving CUV. Thank you Zack. And please do support us by subscribing. Thank you.
Why are they giving a CVT in Korea when they are giving a more advanced DCT in India? Plus in India they are giving rear AC vents, rear charging point, rear arm rest, fog light etc. But no drive modes, or traction options or even that auto lane control. Engine option is also different.. 1 liter TurboCharged petrol producing almost the same power and torque as your review car.
I know. that is weird right? Come on Hyundai we also would like to have air vents for rear occupants, arm rest, fog lamp and everything. thanks Abiee for letting us know.
@@AsianPetrolhead we also need that auto lane controls, drive and traction control modes in indian spec although creta and seltos do gets it in their automatic and dct variants
Excellent review. Really appreciate your pure delivery and commetary.
Fan of smaller vehicles. Would consider in future after a couple years on the market here in Georgia.
Thank you Geo for tuning in. Yes, i found the Venue to be very easy to drive, fun and cute looking SUV. It's not small inside either. Thanks Geo and please do support us by subscribing. thanks.
This launched in India and has been selling a lot, truly value for money
Oh, glad you guys like it. For Hyundai you guys are very important. Thank you Aditya.
What about kia soul? Is it bang for buck too?
I like your testdrive program very mutch👍👍🇸🇪🇸🇪
Tank you Morgan. Glad to that we can provide something that you can enjoy!
To me, because of the A pillars, it looks like Hyundai version of the Kia Soul. This looks much better.
Yes, this guys looks more mature and Hyundai like compared to Soul. thanks
Just booked one. You are really daring in your test drive, especially the cornering😉 very informative! 👍🏻
Glad you like this all new Hyundai Venue. And congratulations. Thank you Kwek Jia. And please do support us by subscribing. Thank you.
lmao the way you drive economy cars
Thank you MEGUMIN!
yes, a real vid for this lawnmower! thx Charlie for all the info .i like the design, just need to put more HP for me , drive that car man ! i love it !
Thank you Unjaded. Glad you like it. Yes, POV is just additional bonus. But you know it takes less time, so it will show up first. Thanks
Thank you, another excellent real world review, It would be great if you could drive the manual transmission version around the Nürburgring track for a bit of fun.
That would be lovely, i would love to do that if i get a chance. Thanks Joe.
@@AsianPetrolhead Hopefully you will in the Hyundai 2025 N Gran Turismo.

Great review, as always Charlie! Venue seems like a perky little runabout!
Thank you John. Yes, it is very cute, fun and capable. thanks John
@@AsianPetrolhead I think they will sell lots of these in Korea and maybe Europe. Thanks Charlie!
Good jobbbbb!!!!! Charlie!!!!! Hyundai is killing the game!!!! My sister loves this car..
It is really nice. Cute, but roomy and very capable. thanks
Hi Charlie, just happened to see your review on seltos and venue. You are just awesome. The way you drive a car makes me feel that every little car can be driven enthusiastically. Most of the results from your test ride is what I gather from your facial expressions even without your need to speak. So nice and it shows how much you enjoy this work. Keep it up and wishing your channel a very great success.
As a closing note, I have a concern about Seltos that is being sold in India. It is offered in 1.5 litre petrol with CVT (same like venue model you have tested but engine is down sized). My question is will this combo really work for a car size of seltos? Any inputs in this matter will be greatly appreciated m
Wow, i mean i drove Venue with 1.6L gasoline engine mated to CVT and it really drove nicely. I really love the CVT. But i only drove Seltos with 1.6L turbo mated to DCT. So, i am really sure how Seltos with 1.5L mated to CVT. But from my experience, i am sure they have it tuned it right. Thank you.
Really enjoyed watching you wring that poor little thing out! I bought a 2023 a few weeks ago and really like it...but I drive like an old man (because I am one). I got 35 mpg on my first tank of gas (still under a thousand total miles...hopefully it gets even better as it breaks in).
Oh my you having fun in that suv I see lol PERIODT!!
yes, it is very capable little guy. thanks Tina.
This video is great and so insightful! Had all of the information I was looking for. Keep up the great work!!😊
Thank you Josh. And please do support us by subscribing and please do share our channel with your friends. thanks
You’re a crazy driver Charlie 😂😂😂
What a shame the back seats seem to be a boring place to be in this car no USB ports or cup holders? Wish it also had cooled seats as well but overall the Venue seems like a decent economic car and I really like the front end of the car it looks badass for a small family car 👌
Yes, if you want all that you have to go to Kia Seltos. thanks for tuning in Tommy!
That blue plastic interior reminds me of the 05 Tucson! Thank you for the video!
Thanks Fonzy.
Hii Charlie I am a fan of you from India!! Great work bro
Thank you Harshith for supporting us!
Love seeing you thrash a subcompact crossover Charlie!
Thank you Daniel!
Get well soon Charlie!
Thank you John! I am getting better!
You was hitting them corners PERIODT!!
Yes, it handles very nicely!
Very spirited driving! May I know if Hyundai CVT is reliable? Based on your experience.
Well, thanks for watching our Hyundai Venue review. CVT actually feels very normal and engaging. But you know they just released this car, so hard to talk about the reliability. Thank you Fun Wheels. And please do support us by subscribing. Thank you.
I really like how this looks, completes head to head with the Soul and because of this I hope they do a slight perf and/or perf look upgrade like the Soul GT-line. The front end looks very impressive and i like the tailight design😉
Yes, N line or even N would be great. Because it has such a nice balance. thank you
@@AsianPetrolhead love how you drive BTW 😎
Should I get Hyundai venue or kia soul 2020? Please make a comparison.
Welp Venue if you want base
car with great city driving then Venue is right choice. But if you want more features then seltos is the right choice.
I love the Venue. Wish they built a venue N and disc brakes. I have nothing against drums technically as I guess they are better now but good luck finding someone to change em
Yes, Hyundai Venue N would be really interesting. Thank you.
Looks more like a micro SUV... Santa Fe, Tucson, Kona and now the Venue. The image looked great until you stood next to it. The Venue is small! Thanks for the review.
Yes, that is my fault. hahaha. I am 6.2, so shrank the car a bit. Thanks~~
@@AsianPetrolhead LOL @ 2:20 you stood next to it and I was like whoa that's a small SUV! Or you're really gigantic then I wonder how you fitted in the back seat! Could be the camera lens you used made the SUV much smaller. Again, great review.
Another fantastic car review as always! Love your videos!
Thank you Aaron! You guys are the best!
Thank you so much for this video !!
Thank you Rahan.
Can't wait for a review of the Kia Mohave.
Yes, hopefully, we will get a test car soon. thanks Giuseppe for tuning in and please do support us by subscribing. thanks
Nice little car. Great review as always. Still think I like the Tucson better.
Oh Yes, Tucson is still big brother of Venue. No doubt. thanks Jamie.
777M Subscribers..... Quite a confidence brother keep it up🤙
Thanks. We will get there with you guys.
You get only 1.6L engine with CVT... Here in India we get-:
1.2L Kappa Engine
1.0L Turbo-GDI
1.4L CRDi diesel.
Transmissions-:
5 Speed manual for 1.2L engine.
6 speed manual transmission for 1.0L GDi and Diesel.
6 Speed Hyundai DCT only with 1.0L Turbo GDi.
Quite a many options😄
Wow, that is amazing. Envy you guys.
"For your own safety always keep your hands on the steering wheel while your foot is on the ground." I think you should have said that instead. 🏁
Hahahah. It is a campaign that i am trying to get through to many people, so that they don't trust driving AIDS. And plus you know you have to drive yourself, B/C it is fun.... thanks Robert~
It would be nice test the Kia xceed 👍for your next video
Unfortunately we don't have Xceed here in Korea. But i would love to give it a swing.
Hey! Great review. When do you think you will be getting your hands on the new i10 or the new Creta?
We don't have Creta or i10 here in Korea. Quite unfortunate. Thanks for tuning in and please do support us by subscribing. thanks.
@@AsianPetrolhead That's really sad, the i10 looks to be a great city car, and the Creta would be a great comperetor to the Seltos. Interesting why you guys don't get em..
Edit: We in Europe don't get the Veloster, do you have it?
Как мне нравятся его обзоры. Четко и по делу. В Россию бы таких блогеров.
Thank you for tuning in and please do support us by subscribing! thanks
Do you think that Hyundai will release the Venue in the US?
I think they might, because they have released the car in the New York Motor show. SO, let's wait and see Hector. Thanks
Coming out Q4 in the us
Charlie, how is it compared to Samsung-renault QM3? Great review as always by the way?
Well, it is much more moderate, in terms of styling exterior and interior. And driving aids. Thanks Jay for tuning in
This Hyundai is very cute will it come Stateside
Yes, it was introduced in New York Autoshow, so i think they will release it. thanks
Great review sorry that you have a cold in fact I have a recurring fever since Labor Day weekend. Venue looks very nice. And as someone suggested N makeover. Yes put as many vehicles under N build the Hyundai empire so it can rake in the money over these higher price luxury brands.
Hyundai already announced they are working on a N-line version of the Venue.
@@JT-fq2bl oh thank goodness! I see it the empire can happen!
Yes, let's all be careful! thanks for the support!
Very nice review, here in canada it will sell very well
Yes, i hope they bring it to Canada. thank you Michael.
It's coming there in mid December
It’s probably faster than the 2019 Honda Insight because last time I checked
Maybe. Haven't checked. thanks Yonda for tuning in and please do support us by subscribing. thanks.
Fun reviewer to watch. 😂
Thank you Larry. Glad to be funnny~
This is on my shopping list, thanks Charlie
Apple carplay and android auto available?
Yes, it does. If you get optional 8 inch infotainment,. thank you~!
Great small SUV
Yes, this Hyundai Venue is really a small and sturdy SUV. Thanks
I like the color of venue 😍
Yes, Roy. I like the interior color as well. thanks Roy.
good quality review, good stuff petrol head, thank you very much!

@@AsianPetrolhead subscribed! I watched your stinger, seltos and kona reviews also. But are you going to test drive a Kia stonic anytime soon?
Good job, very nice this mini SUV i love it, but I would like to know if Hyundai Mexico will bring it for sale !!!
Yes, i hope they do bring it. Let's wait and see. Thank you Ricardo for tuning in and please do support us by subscribing! thanks
I like it. It looks a tad more muscling but cute.
Yes it looks cute. But drives like a man.
@@AsianPetrolhead Can't wait to do a test drive!
WOW........one of the better reviews....you really pushed the gas on that one...... lol

When will the 2020 Sonata be released to buy?
Well, it will be ready this Fall starting from USA. thank you Kaan.
This should have been a N Version!!!
i think it can handle N. It is quite nicely balanced!
Eddie...I doubt we'll see one, but nice to imagine!
John Holst John will you be there for the unveiling of the GV80???
@@ew403488 You mean be at the actual unveiling? No. I'm a college professor. Not part of the press. Just like you Eddie...love cars!
John Holst likewise... love cars and I work for an Auto Part store as a manager
Why you don’t reviews on Japanese cars?
We can and we will. Thanks Aziz.

Thanks
Sso car? Green car?
Well this is a press car from Hyundai. And it's called Hyundai Venue. Thank you Sang Hyuk. And please do support us by subscribing. Thank you.
How much cheaper than Kona? Do you price for sonata hybrid ?
I'm guessing $3k-4k difference when comparing base trims. An Venue SEL trim should be cheaper than a Kona SEL trim.
No international pricing given for these cars. Thanks David.
Even as an economy car. It is faster than the
civic 1.8 oriel about 11 seconds (0-100)
Corolla grande 1.8 about 10 seconds (0-100)
Um... you have a point. thank you blue sky.
i thought Hyundai subcompact SUV is the Tucson?
Yes, smaller than that guys. Bad.
Hyundai's competitor to Mazda MX3 and Honda HRV
It feels like a lot of fun driving venue it's very responsive. Only thing is it sounds quite noisy when you put pedal to metal
Yes, you are 100% right. That is why i think this car feels best in city driving. It's a lovely car.
Here we have Hyundai Cantus, is this a refresh?
Sorry, Isaac, but i have no idea what Cantus is. Thanks for tuning in.
@@AsianPetrolhead en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_Creta
@@AsianPetrolhead it's being sold in the previous generation Tucson alongside with the Tucson.
"Power is sent through ALL front wheels" wait. What? 🤔 3:35

Wow Vihn thank you always for your enormous amount of support!
Nice little box, similar to the VW T-Cross but naturally aspirated revvy engine makes it sound like the good old times. Great politically incorrect test drive once again ;)
Thanks Zenith. Yes, 1.6L N/A was happy to be revv and that CVT is something new. Thanks
You look 200cm tall
more like 200 minus 18
Well, Venue makes me look taller. I guess. thank you Ujung.
I am actually 187cm tall for the reference. Thank you Fawk.
Accent on stilettos.
Hahahaj
