Hey love the videos! Im from Grand Rapids Michigan and I am just getting into all the salmon and trout fishing this past year. Right now I just have access to Pier fishing and want to get some lakers or browns. Ive bought a bunch of casting spoons but I watched the video of you guys jigging with the white tube jigs and was wondering if that would work jigging from the pier or does that really need to be more of a vertical jigging action? Any other tips on catching Lakers or browns from the pier over winter would be great! thanks and tight lines all!
We're not familiar with how things are setup in your area of the lake but there's always a good chance that Lakers will be in close to the Pier Heads and you can use the same tube jig we talked about to cast and jig back to you. For Browns/Steelie's its the same go-to's for us: spawn sac under a bobber, casting cranks/jerkbaits, and throwing inline spinners size 3/4 as well. Mix it up and see what they want.
Browns an stealhead have been hot for me as well up,🤙🙏 tight lines
