I relate to your enthusiasm. " It's my wife's birthday so i can only fish 3 or 4 hours" had me dead. I can't tell you how familiar that tune sounds. Keep up the good work.
Just caught 2 steelhead in 7 casts in downtown Milwaukee on my BFS setup. 6-feet rod, 6 pound braid, and 8 pound fluoro carbon leader. The second was 10 pounds plus and it went crazy!
"the females have the best eggs"-Eric 🤣😂🤣 Love the chaos! Relatable to me fishing a small boat with my 4 kids ha! 😄 One of these days I'll have to make the trip to your end of the state and see if the fishing is as easy as you make it look.
That was great. Thanks for all the good tips. I fish mostly from shore (and a little from kayak), but I try to apply all the info I can do my fishing. I write this stuff down! Tightest of lines...be well...and Happy Thanksgiving! Frank
I’ve been fishing all my life but up until recently I hadn’t done much trout fishing I decided to take it up at 65 years old it’s never too late right? My nephew turned me on to your videos and it’s fueling the fire. We are in Michigan so there is no lack of trout fishing opportunities. Thanks and keep throwing logs on my fire!!😊
I make my own spinners with silver plate blades and sometimes add colored tape to the back, and like the single Siwash hooks for rivers and harbors. They seem to choke the number four with the single hook less often. Best for steelhead has been the silver number four with orange tape. Best for browns has been the gold plate number 4 with chartreuse body and tape. I like the heavy torpedo bodies. Some of the companies that cater musky guys carry those bodies in a variety of colors. All you need is the wire forms, bodies, beads clevises and two pairs of needle nose pliers. Fisherman Shack carries the silver blades, but the gold ones are getting hard to find with the price of gold skyrocketing. Both have more flash than nickel or brass by far.
Hey EH thanks for another great video. Late (& early) rod in hand near shore or on shore fishing for trout and salmon it doesn't get any better than that! There a so many wonderful harbors from Sheboygan down to Chicago. I've got my boat covered and ready to put away but this made me check the weather for a couple of reasonable days to get out. I've been a subscriber for a long time and never knew you had issues in a heavy chop - that and only 3-4 hours to fish on your wife's BD had me cracking up!
I fish the St Marys river and my best bait has always been a Tube Jig white or brown and a heavy jig its a really cool way and the fish hit them at full speed , thanks for the entertainment im checking out those rods ✌️
Eric, you always have the best tip my favorite from this video is when you said female trout have the best eggs, I’ve always heard there eggs are way better than the males eggs😁
Another great show. Would you please share the company and model number of the quad rod holders you have mounted on the front gunwales of your boat. Thanks.
your level of skill in fishing is off the charts. Im just learning and getting better all the time, but have a hell of a long way to go. Is that FFS you are using If not what is it? Thanks
Always love your videos. Had to laugh at your comment, “for those of you wanting to keep fish for eggs, the females have the best eggs “. 😂😂😂😂 Well it sure wouldn’t be the males that have the best eggs.
I was casting that area from the pier in October but no luck.. I guess this is my sign to get back out there! Is it good fishing through the winter too?
Dang Man you're on em !! Hey quick question, do you ever river water cure your eggs ? And if so do you then use pro, cure and borax ? Thanks for your time hope to see you one day ! Maybe after I get retired!!
Does Power Bait work on trout out here? When I lived in Denver that is what we used for stocker trout in town. In the mountains I used lures My mom was up in Fairplay and caught trout using Wisconsin Cheddar cheese
Does this bite last throughout the winter? I bought a kayak for Wilmette Harbor (IL) and hoping to do some damage this winter and into spring. Would love to get out with you in Kenosha or Racine Harbors for guide trip.
I fish the St Marys river and my best bait has always been a Tube Jig white or brown and a heavy jig its a really cool way and the fish crush them . Ever try ? It looks like it would work there? i have a few videos on my channel showing how i use them not promoting just thought maybe you would enjoy. Thanks for Entertainment. Checking out those rods thanks !!
I get sea-sick alllll the time its deff. annoying as hellllll. Way to stick it out fish smart and not let anything slow you down!!! I usually stick to jigging vertically on the BOW when the chop gets annoying.....helps prevent sea sickness
Love that you share so much info I learn something new every time keep up the great videos

Great video as always Eric. Love your anthoughism for the the sport of fishing. Use the two rod holders in the front of the boat.
Great job Eric you always make interesting and fun

Trying it out tomorrow!
Awesome action like always!
I see that most of those fish are hatchery clipped, what size do they raise them to before planting?
Another great show. Would you please share the company and model number of the quad rod holders you have mounted on the front gunwales of your boat. Thanks.
how late into the year will the steelhead be there? Love your VIDS AND PISCIFUN!
Great job
Sweet. Did hear what harbor this was.
your level of skill in fishing is off the charts. Im just learning and getting better all the time, but have a hell of a long way to go. Is that FFS you are using If not what is it? Thanks
Nice video! Thank you Sir! Will these baits also work in to December?
Great video! What time during the day is best?
Always love your videos. Had to laugh at your comment, “for those of you wanting to keep fish for eggs, the females have the best eggs “. 😂😂😂😂 Well it sure wouldn’t be the males that have the best eggs.

Nice fishing
You should try stuffing a lake trout and baking them. Long before you were in HS, we would enjoy baked lake trout
💪 beat down!

Will those fish be in close all winter?
Hey Eric!
What picifun baitcast reel would you recommend for me if I was doing some flipping and pitching for bass mostly. What gear ratio?
I like slow rolling a big spoon, a Mepps #4, and a jerk bait.
I fish the St Marys river and my best bait has always been a Tube Jig white or brown and a heavy jig its a really cool way and the fish crush them . Ever try ? I'm on the other side of Lake Michigan on Michigan side the Northwest lower peninsula
What color crankbaits? How deep should they run?
Nice !
do you use the 3000 or 4000? iam thinking about getting the 4000 because i like to put alot of line
Is that Carbon X II reel a 2000 or 3000 series?
Where can I get the spinners?
Females are the only ones with eggs ?? You sure do bring fun in each outing.
And we catch mostly natives over here but the brown trout are gone I heard they all went to Wisconsin but that's just a rumor
Let me go out with you buddy. Located in MKE.
I was waiting for the call to come out and fish. You never called.
👏👏👏
"the females have the best eggs"... hahahaha..
I meant it was planted it's a planner not a native
You ever use a jerkbait? I feel like that would slay em
Why don't you clean your boat ?
It's a flan and steelhead not a native
That reel looks like a copy of a 70 year old Mitchell.
What a miserable life you've got being only able to fish 3/4 hours 😥😥😥
I get sea-sick alllll the time its deff. annoying as hellllll.
Way to stick it out fish smart and not let anything slow you down!!!
I usually stick to jigging vertically on the BOW when the chop gets annoying.....helps prevent sea sickness
