    a. Note UN 194 does not discriminate between "Palestinian" (they weren't defining themselves as "Palestinians" at the time) and Jewish refugees from Arab lands. ALL refugees were supposed to have "the right of return", Jews and Arabs alike. This would basically mean that by UN 194, all 1.2M Jewish refugees could theoretically come back and reclaim their properties, spanning land around 4 times the area of modern Israel. That's why Israel voted for UN 194 and the Arabs voted against it.. In practice, the Jewish refugees of the 1948 war would have been shot on sight had they try to reclaim their past properties in the Arab states, plus, they have already been given the properties of the Arab refugees as reparations by Israel. If the Arabs would give the properties of the Jews to the "Palestinian" refugees, that would be the end of it. They had no intention of doing so, the properties of the Jewish refugees were simply ripped off by the Arab states. So in short, UN 194 was not a possible decision to follow already when it was decided.

      @yourleftisttesticle 2 года назад

      Perhaps you should provide historical context here. Jordan didn't have any Jews to expel...They were mostly expelled during the Crusades. By the time of the Ottoman's, there were only a few thousand Jews in the region. Anyone with a basic knowledge of Jewish history knows that.
      Egypt is the only country that did that, and it only did so after Israel, in 1954, lead a failed sabotage called the Levon Affair. This made distrust of Jews in the country skyrocket, and lead to a reshaping of Egyptian politics to outright expel Jews due to distrust and fear. Then, in 1956, Israel, along with the UK and France, again invaded Egypt. This is when the remaining population was finally pressured to leave by the government.
      Israel significantly amplified the distrust for Jews in Egypt by constantly attacking the nation. True, about 40% of Jews left prior to the 50s because of general racism in the population, but Egyptian politicians still acknowledged Egyptian-born Jews as Egyptians first.
      See, some of us know history and those who don't can easily look it up. Also, Egyptians do learn about the ethnic conflicts in the region in their schools.

    Munich massacre
    Edit
    Main article: Munich massacre
    The Games were largely overshadowed by what has come to be known as the "Munich massacre". Just before dawn on September 5, a group of eight members of the Palestinian Black September militiant organization broke into the Olympic Village and took eleven Israeli athletes, coaches and officials hostage in their apartments. Two of the hostages who resisted were killed in the first moments of the break-in; the subsequent standoff in the Olympic Village lasted for almost 18 hours.
    Late in the evening of September 5 that same day, the terrorists and their nine remaining hostages were transferred by helicopter to the military airport of Fürstenfeldbruck, ostensibly to board a plane bound for an undetermined Arab country. The German authorities planned to ambush them there, but underestimated the numbers of their opposition and were thus undermanned. During a botched rescue attempt, all of the Israeli hostages were killed. Four of them were shot, then incinerated when one of the terrorists detonated a grenade inside the helicopter in which the hostages were sitting. The 5 remaining hostages were then shot and killed with a machine gun.

    Muslims community all over the World should understand that, Israel and the Holy Land, especially Jerusalem is belonged to Jewish people, since the time of Prophet Moses. That means the whole Israel was belonged to the 12 Tribes of Israel from the time of Prophet Moses.
    God of Israel commanded to Prophet Moses to invade Israel and divided the land and give it to the 12 Tribes of Israel.
    As per that command, Joshua the next leader of Jews chosen by the God of Israel invaded the land and give the land to the 12 Tribes of Israel.
    At present, only a part of the actual land is in possession of the Israel. The rest of the land is in the boundary of present Jordan. The land which is in the boundary of Jordan was once the land of 3 Tribes of Israel and they are the Tribes of Ruben, Tribes of Manasseh and Tribes of Gad.

  • @CedarLion
    @CedarLion 2 года назад +5

    I don't understand this, can someone please explain?
    By the end of 1947 the UN adopted the two state solution. The Arab league rejected it.
    The British said they would leave on May 15, 1948 since their mandate expired.
    May 14, 1948 - Jewish leadership declared the establishment of Israel.
    May 15, 1948 - a military coalition of Arab states declared war, invaded, lost the war, lost lives, lost territory.
    Wars have been fought since the dawn of humanity, since when is the land/property given back?
    It's been 74 years. 5+(?) million Palestinian refugees demand their land back.
    How many of the ones still alive actually owned land back then?
    Why are they still under a refugee status, after several generations in other countries?
    Israel has a population of about 9 million, roughly 2 million of which are Palestinians(?).
    Isn't it a bit disingenuous to ask Israel to accept half it's size in refugees (if it can even support that many people) - considering it will stop being a Jewish at that point?
    P.S. I really hope there's an investigation, but the Palestinians refuse to conduct one at this time...

    I agree that we have a displacement of people now known as the Palestinians as an issue to deal with . . . but were they even called Palestinians before 1948 . . . and why were they called Palestinians? If one investigates the history of those living in the land called Palestine before 1948, would one find that these people called Palestinians originally came from other Arab nations? So was this land called Palestine a land that was part of Lebanon or Syria or Saudi Arabia before 1948? Were the people that were living in Palestine actually the ancestors of Arabs from other Nations before 1948?
    Then we have the Holocaust of the Jews during World War II. The Holocaust, being a fact of life that was so great and terrible and horrible, a decision was made by the United Nations to save these peoples called the Jews by giving them a place to live . . . a land of their own. That place was determined to be the land of their forefathers . . . the land of Israel. As an Arab living in Palestine, knowing that the Jews were coming to live in this land, I would have not wanted to live in the same place as the Jews . . . I would have left to find my family members in another land and make a better home for myself. These Jews were being led to their own homeland sanctioned by the United Nations and I would want nothing to do with them at all.
    But then I might want to fight for my home and stay and reject these Jews from my homelands . . . living here for generations. But what did happen? There was a war to stay . . . and the Jews won. Honestly, that was when I would have left. There are those that went against the will of the United Nations and the majority of the world . . . the majority of the world wanted to have a people live in their own land. Historically, the land was bought and paid for by the Israelite's long before any of those that were living there were displaced. The land belongs to the Jews . . . by all rights!

      You are definitely NOT an Arab living in Palestine lmao 😂 stop lying also there was no “war” between Palestinians and Jews for the land it was waged between Zionist terrorists who slaughtered and kicked out Palestinians, and other unrelated Arab countries who were corrupt and didn’t care about our rights. Also, yes, the Palestinian identity didn’t exist until after Britain colonized the land, but the people themselves have lived there for thousands sod years, since before the Jews fled from Egypt. My DNA tests come back as 60% Levantine, mixed with some Jewish, Greek, gulf Arab, Italian, and Turkish (all of the people who at some point controlled the land). Jews are not the natives of the Levant, we are and our dna PERFECTLY reflects the history of the land! This is not to say that Jews have no right to live there, anyone can live wherever they want! However, the argument that they “rightfully deserve the land” is completely false. Also btw if you wanna argue using the Bible, bear in mind that it says the land belongs to the children of Abraham, and that most northern Arabs are descendants of Ismael, one of Abrahams sons, so the argument is ALSO false!

      Thanks for degrading Palestinians and LEGITIMIZING Palestinian suffering! Honestly, through your toxic and inflammatory choice of words, I would say that you're a Zionist. And in fact, the term "Palestinian" did exist during the early 20th century just as other terms like "Egyptian", "Lebanese", and "Syrian" did as well, as Arabs used these terms to distinguish and identify a person from a specific region. Also factually, the term "Palestinian" wasn't known to the world UNTIL the 1960s, which it became a nationalistic term for an aspiring people which got spread into the news at the time. Using the Bible and other people's suffering (aka The Holocaust) to justify oppression & another people's suffering is DISGUSTING and CRUEL! Your pathetic crocodile tears are NOT valid at all! I ALWAYS stand with the oppressed, just like I stand with Jewish Holocaust survivors and innocent Palestinian refugees and civilians! Free Palestine 🇵🇸

    About the death of Shireen Abu Akleh (RIP) - google for Mahmoud al-Dabai . He is the Islamic Jihad activist that the soldiers were sent to apprehend (after terror attacks which claimed the lives of 14 Israelis in the previous month). He is the person whom the soldiers were engaging in a fire fight when Shireen was killed and many ppl in Israel believe it was his bullet who got her. Why? Cause the troops were standing about 200m ahead of Shireen and he was standing further 100m. To shoot Shireen one of the troops needed to turn back in the middle of a firefight. Not impossible, just highly unlikely. While to hit her, all what al-Dabai needed to do, was to mistake her for a soldier and shoot.

    • @greywolf852

      As a former IDF combat soldier, I can tell you that I can't imagine ANY IDF combat soldier turning his back on enemy fire during a firefight. al-Dab'i didn't have to "mistake her for a soldier", all he had to do was the typical tactic of firing randomly so his enemy had to keep their heads down. My guess? She was killed by a stray bullet fired by the Palestinians shooting at the soldiers.

    Thank you for covering this story and giving Rashida Tlaib an opportunity to speak the truth. We should be mad that Israeli soldiers killed an American citizen. It's ludicrous for us, as major funders of Israel, to be worried about calling their government to task on this. Criticizing an action(s) of the Israeli government or someone who's part of that structure is not anti-Semitism or anti-Jewish, it's criticism plain and simple. The same as criticizing MBS or Putin is not about the Saudi's or Russians respectively. I hope organizations here in the states, especially Congress can understand that sooner than later. We need to remember that where one group can be discriminated against/oppressed, others can be.
