Maybe could have used Ooh Rah of the Deathfield range by Wargame Atlantic for this instead. Which is also a tip for anyone else looking into getting infantry for Imperial guard 40k, you get twice as many models for a lower price (does need bases)
The "SpaceNam" box also by Wargame Atlantic is even better, chunky legs and 100% muscle arms on every single model (the Ooh Rah lads only have rolled-up sleeves).
These guys look great! The camo came out looking nice. It would be interesting to see you build the M577 APC for the colonial marrines to ride in using the same techniques from the truck building video from last week!
Nice results. The occasional non-game project can be great to get a break from painting game pieces. I recently used some custom heads on Ooh Rah models to make not Cobra Vipers.
The Catachan squad arms are probably around 3x the size, they're absolutely massive. The Command squad and heavy weapons teams they release later are smaller, but the torsos are still quite a bit bigger than the new Cadians. I don't have any to hand so I can't say for certain, but my guess would be they're maybe 1.5x the bulk of the new Cadian models.
Oh wow, he's not dead! I genuinely thought you had been eaten by a cow or something terrible, glad to see you're doing well even if you're not doing simracing stuff anymore.
I really like them. I've been building some "jungle fighters" TM on and off again and this is kind of the vibe I want for them. Thanks for the ideas. Also Wargames Atlantic has some dope jungle fighter models with a lot of bare arms and similar armor you could put to work if you ever did decide to do an army of these guys and gals. But yeah, who has the time for that.
The Wargames Atlantic ooh rah marines have some nice guns and helmets for kit bashing minis and like Colonial Marines and Galeforce 9 have just released their excellent Alien minis. The marines also have bare arms....
Honestly with the new necromunda hive secundus coming out, you could use these in a game of that. the new genestealers and terrarin gives off a very Alien vibe.
You have become my new favourite channel to watch Chris. Great projects with attitude I can relate to. Are you going to reinvent the Chimera to go with these colonial Chadians?
Thanks Biggles, your comment made my day. I'd love to tackle the Chimera at some point. I've done a few sketches over the years, but nothing that's ever really jumped off the page.
Thanks! I used Premiere for years, but switched to Davinci Resolve around a year ago. They both have their pros and cons, but I definitely prefer the workflow with Resolve.
@@OffbeatBuilds do you use the premium? I have been looking into Resolve myself as I currently have to edit my videos on GoPro’s Splice app on mobile lol.
I approve as someone that owns 1 mega bloks (lego but with better figures) colonial marine but has a squad that looks like they fit inside alien because i mixed halo and call of duty solder parts together to make a custom squad
4:40 The amount of kitbashing potential from our MVP the kataphron kit made it from a kit i tolerate to one I really love
Yeah, that's precisely how I feel about it. It's the first place I look when I need "something mechanical looking" :)
DID SOMEONE MENTION SHARPE?
NOW THAT'S SOLDIERING
whoever it was must be over the hills and far away
The Adeptus Arbites kill team box has a heavy stubber that is screaming "LET'S ROCK"
Great kitbash, Anvil industry make some bare arms in scale with GW minis, so this could be a way to simplify conversions.
Attention to detail is phenomenal
If only you could see all the mistakes I know are there mate ;)

Thanks. I've nearly started building an APC a couple of times over the years, such an iconic vehicle!
And they look really cool. Great job! 👍🏻
Thank you, much appreciated!
Well done, good use of the kits
Thanks!
Two of my favorite Franchises in one video!!, Suscrito mi amigo!!.
Another spanking video & project buddy. Have a spectacular Christmas, really looking forward to what you bring to the channel next year 🎉
Awesome as usual.
Gracias amigo, very much appreciated. Happy holidays / Merry whatever you celebrate / don't celebrate!
welldone, love the classic flamer
Gracias. Yeah I really just wanted to paint it Blood Red!
You should use the Genestealer Cult torso shoulder mounted lights.
They look awesome. Love this tutorial
Thank you, much appreciated!
I am going to have to build some of these. I also want a Tactical Pixar Lamp in real life as well!
Nice Work 👍
Fantastic stuff, brilliant editing and class hobby skills! Thanks!
Thanks mate, much appreciated!
This is...perfection. I love the Corps!
Loving the crossover! Great work bud.
This is brill mate!
Gracias amigo!
Looks great! Subscribed.
This is awesome!
vote for "colonial shock troops" as it rolls off the tongue nicely
Agreed, though I'm not sure that's a name I'd want to use in casual conversation!
@@OffbeatBuilds yknow, I didn't think of that lmao
@@RenMomoDotPog - yeah, same. It's only when I saw it written down lol
Sweet!!! Well done!!!
Thank you! Cheers!

Ah nice. And yeah , couldn't agree more mate!
Love em 🫡
Thanks Migraine (definitely the first time I've ever typed that combination of words!)
Awesome
Gracias amigo! Have a good Christmas / Holiday season!
Awesome!
Thanks dude!
Just curious, would Catachan arms not have worked for the bare arms?

Good how they are being led by General Holdo
Couldn't agree more, such a great X-Mas movie
They look amazing
Oh wow, he's not dead! I genuinely thought you had been eaten by a cow or something terrible, glad to see you're doing well even if you're not doing simracing stuff anymore.
Hehe, yeah still kicking my dude!
They look ready for a game of kill team.
Nice, gotta love the Aliens franchise for inspiration on Guard models.
Purloined is a great word. Nice one

Next 95th rifles but space
Now that's soldiering
yes not bad and we will tune in to new as do new and great holday

The emperor protects weyland yutani
Nailed it!

@@Lament_the_VVitch - Yeah, I've got the Premium/Studio version... it's not really necessary, but some of the advanced stuff is nice to have.

Didnt know they had burgundy shampoo on cadia. Guess its also ash now xp
Yeah, everything's grey mate ;)
They need a Valkyrie.
I'm dubbing the troops, the Achron Marines. Reference to the planet, LV-426's real name.
A sad and embarrassing day when the fan base is far more creative than a multi-billionaire company.
What glue do you use?
Colodian Marines? 😅
Haha - I mean, it's the best of a bad bunch of mashup names I think!
Sentient lava 😂😂😂😂
Auto dentistry?
I’ve got a question: how do I get outta this chickenshit outfit?
Great kitbash...just...why the purple hair? Ugh...
Because colour theory. The model is predominantly muted green, so a vibrant violet is always going to sit well.
