I can sort of or hope to see Chris Pine kind of go on a Jake Gyllenhall trajectory where he starts making really great consistent films. I mean I can already sort of see it starting with Z for Zachariah. Hopefully they both win an oscar someday in the close future. Great fellas.
A bit late for him to go on a Jake Gyllenhall trajectory. The thing is this kind of versatile acting is it needs to start at an early age (mid to late 20s) because once these actors hit their 40s it's really hard for them. Although I do see him partaking in great roles for the years to come.
Maxblind20 Not really, look at McConaughey, wasn't exactly doing great movies, dramatic acting roles in the early 00's. Now he has an oscar and golden globe within the last few years. Pine seems to have the ability just hasn't chosen enough roles that exemplify it?
Nicholas Wicht The second sentence isn't a demand directed at the interviewer, but rather a request or piece of advice in general for any other interviewers. You could also read it as "[He] just let them talk."
A great interview. Really enjoyed the free form of banter. Love these guys especially Chris Pine. Hoping this film wins an Oscar as well as Chris Pine.
Thank you for posting this. I'm totally obsessed with this film. Great picture. Ben Foster will win an Oscar at some point of his career. Cast is great, score is great.
@michael boultinghouse Jeff was born in 1949, made a movie appearance just after his 1st birthday and was active on tv all through the '50's and 60's. Kurt was born in 1951 and didn't appear on camera until 1961. They both have had full careers. Kurt has taken more roles, but he may have needed to money more than the son of Lloyd Bridges did.
This is such a great interview Very relaxed and letting Jeff tell his stories Even the split second at the end where Chris leans and says he’s exhausted
Such a great movie. Future and instant classic. The rapport between these men is so honest and enjoyable to watch. Just as infectious as the movie itself. Would love to see them all in anything together, ever.
As much as I loved this segment, I have to wonder why Gil Birmingham was left out of the conversation. Gil's character Alberto was every bit Jeff's counterpart as Ben to Chris. Mr. Birmingham is a huge part of this film and owns one of the film's finest moments.
Very true, we were meant to see the two sets of men determined to achieve their respective goals. Their interaction and camaraderie is what gave the film the depth it had with the arid backdrop. Great seeing Gil on ‘Yellowstone’ too.
This video brought a smile to my face the entire 32 minutes and 37 seconds. I really enjoy watching three genuine guys and seeing the mutual admiration and friendship on their faces as they discuss an awesome movie and their interesting views.
Just an awesome movie. The talent, charm and the humor was just perfect. The plot was intense and the chase intense with the consequences being what they should be. Casting was perfect with all the right actors. Jeff is magical as usual. Could watch it again.
Once again, very warm thanks Dave! One of my favorite movies of the past 5 years. Your interview with the writer was magnificent as well. Hope you are well, and good luck in the future! Remember, some of us truly appreciate your work, your invested honesty and your dedication. With loving admiration, an old subscriber from Romania
Great interview.Bridges turning to the others to find out how they feel about something, Foster stepping out of shot to go get a pen and paper to write down the documentary name,Pine and Foster just listening intently to Bridges' stories about making "Fat City " dropping big time names. Its like they're sitting at the tavern having a chat.Wonderful.
I watched this movie because of Ben. God I love him so much!!! For me he is the best! So proud of him got nominated for Independent spirit award! I really really wish that he will wins
This movie and the pairing of these actors made this film. Thwy just clicked and very well done. When the side stories are the story it just unfolds so well.
Can't wait to see this movie ! I seen the clips where so good ! From what I seen very, very great film , the acting is so true to the character they play ! Love these type of films ! Bravo 👏
My dad always wore white socks and black shoes. Never penny-loafers, usually wing-tips. God Rest that man's SOUL! Best man, and human being I've ever known. Literally built houses for people for free - before Habitat - because that's who he was. I never understood how he made his living, because he was always taking care of other people, right until he died at 93. We grew up in poverty - one pound of hamburg, one pound of oatmeal, yet he always had time for the neighbors, and always had time to teach me how to throw a punch, hit a baseball, and never assume the worst of others. He died 10 years ago last week, and the world is colder because of that loss.
This interview is gold. I almost enjoy these guys talking about other films and shows more than their own. Plus, it's refreshing to hear their perspective on the state of the industry; as in the growing disparity between the "tentpole" films and the low-budget films that Chris Pine refers to. This has been a trend that's been going on since the early 2000s especially, and it's a shame. Anyway, great interview. Thanks!
These Actors were all so perfectly cast , and not just these Major stars but even, or especially i should say like the Waitress ... those lines delivered by anyone else would have sounded foolish, but she made it sound real, something a waitress of 40 years would actually say to a bunch of grown Cowboy Lawmen, who she can talk to like her Kids . sorry for the off topic, but just an observation.
This is why I love interviews like this over shows like Kimmel where they rush the questions and force jokes from the hosts when we just want to hear and get to know the actors as people.
I would like to hear Bridges comment on the scene in the T-bone Café, which to me, is one of the great scenes of all time in movies - - I would like to hear his reaction to the waitress who was so funny.
anybody else know the script by heart? I can't count how many times I watch this movie. .. obviously enough to have memorized the scripst and the musical lyrics... this movie has another side to it, that's what makes it so great. There is always a parallel them of lost salvation running alongside what you actually see. You have to take care to watch the shortest clips to really get it. I love the part where Jeff is getting up out of bed at the end and his face. It shows all of his true agony as far as age, etc., are concerned. He grabs his blanket and walks across the street and sleeps on the bench. He really is NOT looking forward to retirement... until the story challenge at the very end. He will be on the job for a while, post-retirement. They could actually make another sequel but it would ruin the mystery
Find someone who looks at you like Ben & Chris look at Jeff. Awesome interview with 3 very different and 3 very intelligent dudes and funny! Jeff is so f'n cool man. I also loved how the interviewer kept in Chris's "I'm exhausted" at the end. Yes they were relatively relaxed and chill but they're still trying to sell a movie and are effectively "working". That was just a nice touch to show that having to be "on" for a long time is hard work.
Yeaaaaahhh men jeff bridges is a monster, by the way ben foster at my humble opinion Is one the actors of the new génération he got the power Who play many carrarchters perfectly is one of unrrated actors unfortenly
He's the Dude. So that's what you call him. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing. And that *blanket he wore really tied the film together
Jeff is such a good story teller i recently saw him and Matthew on Actors on Actors both been good story tellers i didn't wanted the interaction between them to end
These guys nailed this movie. Seen it a few times and I love it every time.
I could've watched another half hour of this conversation. Hell Or High Water is an excellent film
Ben Foster is one of my favorite modern actors; it's really nice seeing him get more screen time.
Plus he got nominated for a Independent spirit award which is awesome.
Very underrated. First saw him in 3:10 to Yuma and then Pandorum and was sold.
He was flat out amazing in HOHW
@@zylaxis ya maybe my top 3 acting movies from a dude it was impressive
@@5RWill ---I first saw him on ‘Six Feet Under’, even as young as he was, he had an amazing presence on screen. In ‘Hostage’, he was scary nuts😳
God, I love these guys. Hell or High Water is a brilliant film.
They all seem like such chill and down to earth people who love films and don't just treat it like a job.
The admiration and sincerity is astounding
I love this interview! Partly because it shows how smart Pine and Foster are because they want to hear from Jeff Bridges.
We need a movie where Chris plays Jeff's son. Chris is already slowly morphing into Jeff Bridges so it makes sense.
Great interview as always!
Maybe he could play "little Lebowski"
I LOVED it when they went off topic and started talking their favourite TV shows and documentaries. Just so fun to see what they're into!
Love how chill Jeff Bridges is. That kiddie laughter 😂
Each actor absolutely nailed their part. This is one of my all time favorite movies.
I can sort of or hope to see Chris Pine kind of go on a Jake Gyllenhall trajectory where he starts making really great consistent films. I mean I can already sort of see it starting with Z for Zachariah. Hopefully they both win an oscar someday in the close future. Great fellas.
I think I agree astoception but it seems you're only sort of/kind of the opinion, so, I'm not sure.
Nah, I'm all for it as well. I'm hoping Wonder Woman & A Wrinkle In Time don't make Hollywood forget he can do films like Hell Or High Water.
A bit late for him to go on a Jake Gyllenhall trajectory. The thing is this kind of versatile acting is it needs to start at an early age (mid to late 20s) because once these actors hit their 40s it's really hard for them. Although I do see him partaking in great roles for the years to come.

astroception I thought you meant Jake Gyllenhaal trajectory as physical. then yes I agree with you.
They are all Exceptional actors but Ben Foster is just on another Level. Hell or High Water is 1 my favorite movies.
Im totally agree 👍
god i loved this interview. just let them talk
The interviewer is letting them talk. What are you on about?
Nicholas Wicht
Reading comprehension isn't your strength, is it?
So you both love the interviewer but want them to talk? Your comment comes off a bit Bi Polar is all.
Nicholas Wicht
The second sentence isn't a demand directed at the interviewer, but rather a request or piece of advice in general for any other interviewers. You could also read it as "[He] just let them talk."
StarCrusher My apologies man.
Jeff Bridges is radical, man! And Chris Pine is the most gorgeous man on the planet.
So gorgeous and laid back
David, please try to do more of these 2-3 people interviews, people really open up and are more natural. These are even more of a treat. Thanks!
Often, it leads to someone being left out completely... which frustrates me. But yeah...
A great interview. Really enjoyed the free form of banter. Love these guys especially Chris Pine. Hoping this film wins an Oscar as well as Chris Pine.
This was WAY more and WAY better than I anticipated. Well worth the watch.
I'm still wearing this massive grin on my face. Such a great interview and Jeff Bridges' nature is infectious.
Thank you for posting this. I'm totally obsessed with this film. Great picture. Ben Foster will win an Oscar at some point of his career. Cast is great, score is great.
So Jeff Bridges is really Jeff Bridges; not some character played by Kurt Russell. He really exists.
They were child actors when I was a child. I have always gotten them confused, although I like both of them.
@michael boultinghouse Jeff was born in 1949, made a movie appearance just after his 1st birthday and was active on tv all through the '50's and 60's.
Kurt was born in 1951 and didn't appear on camera until 1961.
They both have had full careers. Kurt has taken more roles, but he may have needed to money more than the son of Lloyd Bridges did.

what a great movie.....with 3 great actors
great movie hope these 3 fellas can do another one together
This makes my heart rejoice in this cold dark world. As always, stellar work.
This is such a great interview
Very relaxed and letting Jeff tell his stories

1 month shoot? goes to show what a low budget movie can really do when done right.
No shit 1 month ?????
great interview. watching pine react to certain things bridges says is hilarious
What a fun interview. Delightful to see celebrities with their guards so down and so natural.
Wow Im enthralled with this. Bridges man. Pine. Foster. Wow
Just an awesome movie. The talent, charm and the humor was just perfect. The plot was intense and the chase intense with the consequences being what they should be. Casting was perfect with all the right actors. Jeff is magical as usual. Could watch it again.
Wonderful interview, love Chris Pine and Ben Foster
Awww Ben knows about Chris Pine' s duet with The Barbra Streisand ! So cute ! Chris' blushing ..😁

Absolutely without a doubt one of the best interviews EVER!
Three of my favorite actors. What a great script, amazing cast!
One of the truly great movies of all time and an interview to do it justice!

jeff bridges is amazing). Such a good conversation. Love this channel.
One of the best promo interviews I’ve seen.
omg I just love jeff bridges so much and chris pine is so funny
Jeff Bridges is one handsy man and i'm okay with it :)
This movie and the pairing of these actors made this film. Thwy just clicked and very well done. When the side stories are the story it just unfolds so well.
Love them. They are artists. They really are. I especially loved Ben with his notes and the not putting to heart assholes, those were good moments.

Loved this interview. It’s clear they all like and respect each other and it seems real
Byliście wspaniali w tym filmie i film był świetny, mądry, liryczny, wzruszający. Chapeau bas!!!!
Jeff, Ben and Chris !! My three crushes ! Past, present and future!!
This is great to see how they interact with each other love the eye contact and seeing how they react off each other.
The best interview I've seen so far, so natural!
One of best movies in long time Great Show
Great interview! I bet you felt like a public school teacher with these guys, what a wild pack!
This interview is gold. I almost enjoy these guys talking about other films and shows more than their own. I could watch Jeff Bridges in anything. His father was awesome, his brother, Beau is awesome, and ummm Jeff? Really awesome.
Oh, man! That's was some nice job on that interview! You can feel the guys just relaxing and sharing stories...that's great material!
This movie needs to be a cult classic, its so damn good! Love these 3 guys!

Jeff bridges is a fantastic actor with an incredible resume
I love how every time Jeff does the high squeaky laugh Chris just loses it
You're right! It's hilarious to watch. Love this group of huys they gelled so well with each other.
Interview (& movie) becomes more timely with how election turned out. Hoping for Oscar nods for Bridges, screenplay & Best Picture.

Huge fan of all of these actors. I wish Jeff was my grandpa, and Ben/Chris were my cousins.
This interview is awesome!!!
magnificent film
Ben Foster is just criminally under-rated.
Best Interview ever!!!
I feel like Ben Foster would make a great Joker.
Pine would too. See Stretch, Horrible Bosses 2, or Smokin' Aces.
@@InvincibleABC lol yeah, Pine would make a great joker, right after Jared Gileto's ass.
good call! he's a real nut.
Ben Foster could play ANYTHING...ANYTHING. He is hands down the best goddamned actor working today. The man does not get the recognition he deserves.

A brilliant film after all the crap that has been produced Hollywood hasn't totally killed off movies like this.
That last scene was about the best western gunfight scene ever, without a shot being fired.
What did we do to deserve Chris Pine? I don’t know
Does anybody else think Ben Foster sounds exactly like William H. Macy?
Very impressed with ben foster
He's the Dude. So that's what you call him. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing. And that *blanket he wore really tied the film together
Its a beautiful movie 🎥 story watch it 100 times
Thank you DP/30. I loved this movie.
West texas and boogers. Plenty of dust plenty of boogers. You never see cowboys pickin em but you know they did.
And we got some movie recomendations out of the interview. :p
There is still a piece of “The Dude” inside Jeff Bridges.
Good analyse but is still rock
Great film!
Jeff is such a good story teller i recently saw him and Matthew on Actors on Actors both been good story tellers i didn't wanted the interaction between them to end
Jeff Bridges forever
Jeff can talk for ever.
I love it when they film a movie and the town looks like it's been closed down for decades..
3 great actors
Fantastic film!
Jeff looks great, like a good couple of years younger :)
I'm 5 mins in and I can already tell they are over this interview
