How not to Load Motorcycle in a pick up truck

- We sold the Motorcycle and a shipper came to pick it up in a pick up truck without ramps. We help him load the cycle by improvising and creating a ramp out of old rail road ties we had. We never thought it would make it in the truck but it did. . Created on September 1, 2010 using FlipShare.
It's a good thing he left his truck running the whole time. That's critically important for successfully loading a motorcycle.
Es ist perfekt für das Klima.

@@erwinputtner9802 No. 2X, 3X, 4X Humans will destroy it, no question. Women need to learn to keep their legs together, closed and men. keep it zipped.
But that’s what the “big rigs” do…” Said the man-child
Yep….then he’ll complain about gas prices. 🤦♂️
First loading fail I wanted to see not fail just so that lady would stop talking!
as always.
Wow, there were enough people there to have just lifted it up and tossed it in! At least it finally got loaded.
Man, I wonder what master plan they are going to come up with to get the bike off the truck
I love how its a hilly area but instead of parking the truck down in a dip to make it level to load they do it the hardest way possible. Also what yahoo that rides and owns a truck down not have a nice wide aluminum ramp to load with.
Right 👍
I haven't seen a three stooges episode in years ... Thank You.
I'd think this should be retitled "How not to be a shipper". The guy selling the bike could have just as easily said "Not my problem" when the guy showed up unprepared.
Simple solution, find a small hill or bank around your house. Roll the
bike part way up it backwards and have someone hold it there.
CAREFULLY!! back the truck with the tailgate down up to the bank below
the bike. Now let gravity do the work and roll the bike down into the
truck!! :)
Wy not with Trailer???????
I would've pierced my eardrums with an Awl a few years ago...Jebus, Hubby should pop up with cam when she changes a tampon..."well, it's really hard to get up there...probably gonna have to double up the inserts" theeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrreeee we go" "oh boy, I dont think it'll hold....one hiccup or a sneeze, and theyre gonna comw out like double barrel slugs"
I can't wait to hear her play by play on loading groceries at the supermarket. Subscribed!
I just watched some shapely, uneducated girl fixing the bed, talking about breast pads, showing her wet shirt and even doing laundry and rubbing stretchmark cream on her belly. I was looking to see what color her 'man' was because she talked black and yep, Mr. Man is African. The girl probably has an 8th grade education and is annoying as all get out..
She does seem to like the sound of her own voice
Oh no, a classic GS1000 in the hands of numpties!
It's a job for a van man.
Jeez Oregon, I'll bet they voted for Obama
thanks for the detailed commentary. we really needed that.
waiting for the banjo music got to be inbread family
The worlds slowest "How not to Load Motorcycle in a pick up truck" fail.
i have never disliked a video until today.
good thing he left the truck running the whole time.
First clue that he wasn't too bright: He bought that bike in the first place.
Riveting reality TV!! Wow. I can't wait for the next episode when buddy has to unload the damn thing.
i laughed my ass off when i saw that tiny ramp
Give me the name of this shipper so I can be sure to never use them.
Bullwinkle the Moose: Watch me load a Motorcycle in a pick up truck.
Rocket J Squirrel: A-GAIN??? That trick NEVER works.
When they came around the corner and I saw the single board to put the bike on the truck i knew nothing was going well.
This is why I always use a trailer.
I avoided all of this fiasco by purchasing a trailer for my motorcycles. I never thought it was a great idea to load a motorcycle into the bed of a pickup.
Good thing the lady video taping was there to help
the "shipper"
that's my favorite part.
I would have told this "shipper" to come back when he had all his chyte in one sock.
Motorcycle trailers sure have their advantages.
"The problem is you lady!" Sheeudup!
What where the two big posts supposed to do?
The very second I saw that single piece of wood I knew this was going to end in lulz.
Sure am glad that these guys were never around to help me load my Gold Wing. It weighed over a 1,000#.
Only thing entertaining in this video is the cummins turbo diesel idling in the background...
The woman speaking in the video needs to get out more
Good gosh, that woman is annoying...
Most loading fails are because the ground clearance of the motorbike are not taken into consideration. I load lots of bikes and it still amazes me how shallow a ramp you need.
i park my truck in the ditch and it levels the ramp
Whenever I see a motorcycle loading gone wrong its not anywhere near being level. +1 ^
Towards the end while their scratching their heads, did anyone think to just lift the ramp off the pavement using it like a lever and getting the cycle level?
I did.
same thought
Yes I thought that .To be honest when we did same when I sold my sportster,I made sure there were 4 big guys plus the buyer to get it on his pick up.
I was not worried how he got it off as I accepted payment before it Went on his pick up.
for fucksakes! i fell asleep
Click the gear icon and set the playback speed to 2.0. That will cut the playback time in half.
“Let’s go pick up a motorcycle in Bubba’s truck!
Someone grab me a 2X6……..” 😬😬😬
Toothpick
The bike was sold to a man from the mid west. When the "shipper" arrived, we videoed the loading in order to avoid being held responsible for the actions of this "shipper". All he came with was a 2x6!
By helping him you could have been held partially responsible for any accidents or damage.
WELL...THERE GOES THE BIKE! LOL, LITTLE DID SHE KNOW.....LOL
cool vid, personally i would have told the incompetent shipper go away, but then again if you got the money and the responsibility is on the new owner i'de watch n laugh but not help lol
I doubt if that was a real shipper.
You sir just saved me 6 minutes. I am eternally grateful
Why would you bring a half a pick up truck to pick up a large road bike and no good ramp ? and how long did he leave the engine running for ??
What they needed was a few MEN. You know, the kind that are strong.
That had epic failure written all over it.
That ladies play by play was brutal
I was about to saw the same :) lol all she did was talk to herself
1:55 lol " now we gotta get the back tire up"
I once used an unsecured scaffolding plank to load a bike. It went in ok but the unloading was sketchy.
That's what I was going to say ! You stole my lines... Lol...
How does this have half a million views?
If those 5x5’s are free…this vintage bike will be free too
Some joker with a pickup decides, "Hey, I've got a truck, I can collect motorcycles."
Then he finds it's not quite as simple as he is.
It's people like that who keep the ERs full
why you just didn't lift the board under back Tyre in horizontal position to gain clearance between engine and wood beams.
dude needs a trailer with a ramp, they are everywhere....
that was brilliant
I would pay good money to see how he got it off the truck! :)
I cant believe that guy is supposed to be the shipper!
That was my first 4 stroke bike. In '79 they were overstocked with these '78s and I got mine for only $2,750 ($50 dealer margin).
Physics and geometry are not spoken here.
What is that motor?
why is the truck engine running all the time?
how about backing up to one of those little hills on the right or left and pushing it on.
I once poped a near new rear tire on a old bolt. wife came with pick up drove into ditch and leveled tail gate with the road. Drove my Victory in with no ramps or nothing.
They are called " 3 pieds nickelés"😂😂😂
Yeah I was really hoping that I would get to say "Not so happy you found that cable now are you?"
pull the truck onto that nice incline to the right. the bed comes down the bike rolls right on. what ya think
That poor tailgate!!!! I kept waiting for that to collapse! What a bunch of morons! Seriously!
Can we get a "part 2 the unloading"
That ramp tho lol
you should get some '' you cant be fucking serious yank loading elevators' lol
Why'd they park the truck so far away?
Sweet bike.. the hell were they thinking.
I haven't seen it yet.
And those 4X4's are supposed to do what, exactly?
Tummy in stitches, hilarious... =)
"Shipper", or did you mean "scrapper"? This is why I go and haul whatever I buy myself!!! If I don't have what I need with me I'll go and buy it before I try to load anything. Don't tell my wife but sometimes I'll forget to take things on purpose so I can go buy extras! She's my helper when I pick up items.
You all got lucky. I'm glad the lady was there to tell them the back tire was sliding off the board. This is a great example why we need to listen to our better half. If she wasn't out there that bike would of been on the ground.
Is this a remake of a Three Stooges short?
Raw talent. Nice ramp/s 👌
I think my IQ just dropped 50 points watching this video.
I knew right away when ifirst saw the angle of the ramp that they were hoing to have a problem 😳
A 4' truck bed is good only for a few sacks of concrete.
@Milesco Or have another person to help and then nothing would go wrong and you wouldnt have to worry about any insurance?
kz1000?
Nice sporty ya got there champ.
Please don't let that lady speak on a video ever again! What? I can't hear her, I'm pouring bleach in my ears to kill the pain!
helluva cheerleader yall got there
Looked like a three stooges clip. Really expected it to go over dam !
Need her play by play when I go to the bathroom.
kinda wonder how the shipper got it off the truck...
I wish I live in your country. That is a very well kept and used bike. Suzuki GS model?? Now I wonder how they brought it down??
are these guys for real or what??? gotta love the way they attached?? the ties to the board..unreal.. should have just hired David Blaine
Yall killn me with these comments. .lmao
Why is the truck running
How about using a low profile utility trailer (12-14" high) . 😮
The real trick here would have been to secure it to the wood ramp thing.. then come along the whole package..
At 1.38 you can see its gonna fail because there is no clearance under the bike once the front wheel goes onto the truck. Best way i do this job is to find a spot where the truck is backed up to higher ground or a big kerb or step, so the ramp has a shallow angle.
