HOW TO PROPERLY CHANGE THE BLADE'S ON A 42" CRAFTSMAN/HUSQVARNA/POULAN RIDING MOWER

In this video i go over and show how to properly replace the blades on a 42" craftsman/husqvarna/poulan riding mower that uses the 5 point star center-hole.
Tools Needed : 5/8" Socket, floor jack, lift,air or battey impact, i would not recommend using hand tools.
CAUTION : DO NOT over tighten the blade bolt or use extreme force as it WILL snap off resulting in having to replace the entire spindle shaft assembly!

Owners manual says 27-35 ft lbs of torque on the mower blade. Poulan mower with 42" deck. 18hp.

How did you use impact and the blade not move when removing blade?

impacts are great for this bc it hits it with an impact at a very high speed and breaks it free before the blade has a chance to move much.

I recommend if you are making a video, do not use an air compressor. Couldn't hear half of what you were saying. Good tips though. Thanks.

The air compressor sucking in air
