Oh what a treat to spend so much time with you and see all your beautiful projects. I think if you are not enjoying a piece then move on, as you say there are so many other things you can stitch. You can request a digital pattern for some of Luca S kits - it has to be one kitted with their own branded floss - details are on the website. Your challenge mix and match piece is really interesting - I think I am too much of a control freak but I am cheering you on from the sidelines and look forward to seeing how your piece comes together. Your deer piece is just stunning, you have stitched the varigated floss beautifully. I have been stitching a HAED piece whilst watching - Twas the night before Christmas - so you can guess I am not a seasonal stitcher! Enjoy your stitching xxx
Oh I love that you are happily stitching away on a christmas piece in the middle of May. Good for you :). And that is a gorgeous piece by HAED. I have received the digital pattern of Luca-S from a kind viewer, so I am all sorted! Thanks for watching! Happy stitching
Lovely to see you again. I love listening to your soothing voice! I agree with you-your st..moister (sorry I don’t know how to spell) would look nicer on ivory fabric! Can’t wait to see your next episode.
I'm obviously not the only one who's enjoyed watching your progress this last year. Congratulations Hanneke. This sunny evening I've been working on a 14ct coloured 'Fairy Meadow' piece of Aida working on an old Cross Stitcher August 2021 issue (English magazine that often features Durene Jones - I intend doing her original seaside one for the printer's tray - which I've already bought so it will get stitched one day!) design of a Wren perched on a stump with poppy and other yellow flowers and in the background a hazy house and trees - due to all the background being done in half stitch. It's one of my many WIPs and large but a change from linen and I like the shaded fabric as it's not a full cover stitch. I've done some Hardanger and keep meaning to work further pieces from a book. I made the trial pieces into cards to send to stitching friends 😊
I looked up 'Fairy meadow' and it is lovely. Happy stitching! And thanks for your continued support Jean, it is much appreciated! I hope you'll have a lovely Sunday!
Many congratulations, Hanneke, on your one year Flossaversary! You’ve quickly become one of my favourite flosstubes to watch - and you are a terrible enabler 🤦♀️😂 I was stitching on the 2024 HAED Sal as I was watching/listening to you - I am hoping to finish this in a year, but it is meaning I’m really just having a year of stitching full coverage, which I am quite enjoying 😃
Hi Alison, thanks for visiting again. I probably sould apologise for being an enabler ;). Full coverage is such a lovely way of stitching. Once I retire I will get some enormous pieces to work on. Good luck on yours! Happy stitching
I have just found your flosstube,l do like your choice of patterns and materials, especially the tablecloth so pretty.l am in the U.K. and look forward to seeing you again
Such a pleasure to spend time with you, Hanneke! I love how eclectic your taste is in patterns - so interesting. It opens me up to consider patterns I might not have otherwise ever thought of stitching! I do hope that you will persevere with your "Colors of Spring" - your finish of the "Colors of Water" was such a stunner! Congratulations on your anniversary, I am so glad you decided to join the flosstube community. You are a real treasure!
Dear Hanneke, what a surprise you have this mix & match pattern too. I bought it about a year ago and never started... My idea was to stich the pattern with all the left over threads from finished kits, and of which i dont have dmc numbers. You motivated me to start it as well, if so i will show you pictures. Love and greetings from Groningen.
Ah a fellow Groninger :). I started the mix and match but am also considering restarting. I may pick about 15-20 colours that I will use for the whole thing rather than just pick any from stash. In short, already struggling ;). Hope you are having better luck! Happy stitching!
Congratulations on your first Flossiversary, Hanneke. You have a wonderful FlossTube and I love your projects with particular emphasis on the landmarks and Artesy pieces. Your projects are all lovely and elegant. I stitched on Betsy’s Summer Basket by Pansy Patch Quilts and Stitchery. This is a SAL for Pages and Stitches and a book club organized by Katie, The Novel Stitcher. Looking forward to your next year of videos.
Happy floss tube anniversary! Thank you so much for the WIP parade. I love your pieces and they are often so different from what I see others stitching. They are all so beautiful that it is difficult to pick a favorite. I also have a few projects that I don't stitch on very often and have considered abandoning them but then always think of all the work that has gone into them and that I still really do like the piece so they stay among my 90 or so WIPs to hopefully get done before I go to meet my maker. I hope you have the best days available to you. Enjoy your stitching journey. Dawn in Texas USA
Thank you so much. 90 or so WIPs, I salute you ;). I guess we should pray and ask if we can take our stash to heaven once we meet our maker ;). Happy stitching!
Happy 1 year Anniversary. I love the bird color. I am wondering if the aid cloth is throwing it off for you. I have never worked on colored aida cloth before. The bird color matches your needle minder colors. I would also be afraid of that piece too. I could not have pieces over lapping one another. Good Luck while you stitch on that piece. I am sure you will figure it out and it will be beautiful just like all your other pieces. I think I would do a Gray for the one with the Ivory Floss all over it. Love your tablecloth it is so beautiful. I love doing Christmas in July. I am stitching on Wildflower Welcome by Tellin Emblem on 16-count White Aida 2 strands over 1. I love seeing all of your flowers in your pieces and this one has flowers and birds in it and I am loving it so far. I am so glad that you decided to stitch the hat with the pins because it is so cute. Love all your stitching pieces because each and everyone is very different and unique. Love your FlossTube. Happy Stitching.
Thank you Linda, for watching and supporting me and my channel. I have looked up Wildflower Welcome and have put it in my list of favourites. It is so pretty! So thank you for sharing that! Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
Happy Flossiversary. I loved your WIP parade. I enjoy stitching floral pieces, so I was happy to see you stitching them, too. Your trip with your Mom sounds great. I have no advice about the projects you are unsure of other than if you are not happy with colors or fabric, then switch it out. All the time spent working on a project will not be good even after framing. You will always wish you had changed things. In the end, you have to be happy with your hobby. ❤ Five weeks off from teaching sounds wonderful. I like to make the pins and scissor fobs. Hardanger looks really hard, but once you have a few of the stitches placed correctly, you will find it is a soothing and easy project. Happy stitching.
Thank you so much! You are right about switching things out if not happy with them. I have too little time to focus on things I don't really love. I have started the hardanger and you are right that is isn't hard after all. Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
I am so glad I have found your channel. You are delightful to listen to and your pieces of work are amazing! I live in Vermont (Northeast/ ew England/USA). Your country’s climate is very similar to ours. Keep up the great work and please keep posting for us! I would love to see you stitching in some beautiful landscape settings this summer. Your water shots are stunning!
Thank you, Hanneke, for a year of lively and interesting videos! Look forward to the coming year - you've set yourself quite a challenge with your anniversary piece. (Good for using up some of your stash?) I think the brown of the bird looks natural and stands out because you haven't stitched all the leaves yet. Love your tablecloth! Re beige thread on white Aida - you could add a mat in beige so the fabric wouldn't be visible.
Thank you so much! Exactly the reason why I thought that anniversary piece would be a good idea. You might be right about the leaves that still need stitching. I am hoping the colours are growing on me each time I look at it. Wishing you a happy Sunday!
Congratulations on one year!!!! Woohoo!!!! I love viewing your flosstube you are so inspiring. I haven't been able to stitch yet, I'm kitting up a few smalls to be able to do quick stitches. ❤❤❤ Until next time.....
This is my first time on your channel. Your stitching and choices are beautiful! I don't have enough words for how much I enjoyed watching. I confess that you've also enabled me to justify more things to stitch! LOL Thank you for sharing your stitchy joy.
Thank you so much for watching and for leaving such a kind comment. If you will stitch on more things I just hope you will truly enjoy it! Happy stitching :)
Happy Flossiversary! I always love seeing your stitching ❤ I'm currently stitching Arnott's parrot on black linen. I have a LED light pad from Amazon that I put on my lap when stitching. So, it backlights the work and makes it a lot easier to see/stitch. Can share the details if of interest. Happy stitching during your holiday! Christina 😊
Hi Chrissy, a LED light pad sounds good. I have used a necklight on my lap as well on some of the darker days. Black linnen will be even more difficult than aida, so I salute you! I will have a browse through amazon for a LED light pad, might be an easy solution because I do love the result on black fabric! Happy stitching
Love the bird it seems to match very well, like it better than the pink ones I have seen. Love the work you shared. The one with the one with white Aida and beige thread, I will go with the beige Aida even though it would be hard on the eyes. Maybe a very light green Aida.?
Thanks for watching my flosstube and for your suggestions. I am leaning towards changing the fabric, I just have to get over the three squares I already stitched and now have to redo ;). Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
Happy anniversary! I look forward to watching your floss tubes. My husband and I picked up three Moonlight Rose teapot on our honeymoon years ago in Victoria BC. We now eat off of the plates everyday. I’m working on Uninvited Guest, a full coverage piece while I’m watching floss tube. I really enjoyed your WIP parade. Happy Stitching!
Oh I love that! I love Moonlight Rose and am so enjoying my collection. Haven't used it yet, but good for you using the plates every day! When I google Uninvited guest cross stitch I get a few pieces, but is it the greyish halloweeny one? Will be gorgeous once finished. Happy stitching!
Yes it is a large grayish Halloween by Charting Creations. I usually just do cute Halloween things, but I saw this on a facebook group and I was drawn to it. I love seeing the image unfold as I stitch.
Happy flossiversary! Doesn't seem like a year since your first flosstube - it's flown by, and it's always a pleasure to see what you've been stitching. Really enjoyed your wip parade but was very impressed by your new starts. I don't think I could stitch in white like you are, but then we're all different! I think the bird you were uncertain about looks fine. I can see what you mean about it being a different tone to the leaves but I'd do a bit more before abandoning it. (Easy for me to say....!). Looking forward to seeing how your Mix and Match design stitches up, Kim ❤
Congratulations on your one year Flosstube anniversary. I look forward to watching your videos. You have a lovely speaking voice, and I enjoy seeing all the things you are stitching. I am currently stitching a small sampler from Hands Across the Sea called Tom’s Foolery. It is packed with colorful motifs and is fun to stitch. Thank you for sharing your WIPs!
Thank you so much. Hand Across the Sea have such lovely patterns. The one you are working on is a beautifully bright piece. Makes my heart happy :). Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
Happy flossiversary! Enjoyed your WIP parade and how you spent time with each piece pointing out the bits that particularly delight you. Im intrigued by the design your own adventure (I can’t recall its actual name). Hmmm. I may just have to buy that for my birthday next month. Just what I need another pattern. You asked us to share what we were stitching during your parade - Halloween Hijinx by Carolyn Manning. It’s so fun to stitch with all the little boxes and its clever design. Enjoy your upcoming break.
Thank you so much! I love Carolyn Manning, those patterns are similar to my travel piece (Kaleidoscope by Vivsters) so once that one is finished I may have to try one from Carolyn Manning. Wishing you happy stitching!
For complicated patterns, I take a photo of it and open it in Goodnotes on my IPad or phone. Goodnotes allows me to make the pattern as large as I want and to mark stitches off when I get them stitched. I loved your project parade.
I love those owl forest embroidery deer pattern and I love your colours if you could tell me what they are I would be so grateful. Loved your wip parade and I love when a flosstube pops up from you x
Happy Flossiversary! Thank you for sharing. I always enjoy seeing your work. I'm working on Longdog Samplers Fish n Ships and Lila's Studios Summer Quaker.
I am so happy you love talking to us. I really enjoy seeing where people in other parts of the world are stitching and learning their culture. I have watched you from #1 and look forward to each video. Your stitching is so nice to see. I am stitching Heart in Hand -Floral Etchings 1 & 2. Along with Annie Beez 12 days of Christmas. I don’t have allot of WIPS, usually stay at max of 10😊 I will close with I like your tea set on your open shelf.
Thank you so much! So lovely to hear you have been watching from video one! Feels like such a long time ago now. I agree with you that flosstube is a great way to learn about other countries, so I am glad to give you a little bit of the Netherlands this way :). Max 10 WIPs is already quite a bit. I guess it is all about personal preference. I guess I have more projects going to keep my flosstube entertaining. Happy Sunday!
Happy flossiversary!! Congratulations on one year. I absolutely love watching your videos! Your projects are so varied, your stitching is stunning, and your voice is so soothing. Love it all! Although I know I have many of your projects on my wishlist already, I have another full list from your WIP parade, because I don’t want to miss anything. 😄 Mix and Match definitely looks daunting, and I can’t wait to see what you do with that. Your Spring Sampler on black I know is going to be absolutely stunning. Looking forward to your next video. Take care and be well.
Thank you ever so much! I am happy to enable you ;). Mix and Match has proven to be too daunting for now, maybe I'll try again during my annual leave. Anyway, thanks for being a recurrent viewer, I appreciate your visits. Happy stitching
You need to finish the bird pattern. It’s beautiful! I love the floral piece♥️. I would change the white fabric to cream. Congratulations on your anniversary. I’ve watched you since you started. Enjoy your videos!!
Happy Flosstube Anniversary! 🎉🎉 I’ve been with you since the beginning, and you are truly one of my favorites! I love seeing all of your beautiful pieces, and you’ve enabled me quite a few times to purchase them as well, lol. I so look forward to seeing you. Wishing you another wonderful year on Flosstube! Thanks so much for sharing your cross stitch journey with me. Happy stitching!❤️
I’m actually watching while doing my arm exercises for a small tear in my rotator cuff. It didn’t require surgery, just physical therapy. The doctor and therapists assured me it was not caused by all my stitching but it has limited the amount of time I can stitch in one session.
@@adutchstitcher Thank you for your good wishes. That means a lot to me. Looking on the bright side I am doing a lot of reading. That is good. I can still watch floss tube videos and sip tea.
Congratulations on your one year anniversary! I so enjoy your videos and seeing your amazing projects. After seeing your Magic Needle projects I decided to order the lilac one as my husband loves them. It is the first colored chart that I have attempted. I made a working copy but find it slow going stopping after just a few stitches to mark them off so I don’t get lost 😅. I wish that I had started it on a higher count as you have done … I am, of course, afraid I will run out of floss. It’s my first kit attempt! Wish me luck! Thanks again for sharing everything!
Hi Marlene, so great to hear you are enjoying your lilacs. Keep at it, even when it is challenging. The result will be lovely. If it would help you, you are welcome to my left over floss from that kit. Just drop me an email so I can sent it to you! Happy stitching
Happy Flosstubaversary!!
Groetjes, Evelien
Congratulations on your Flossiversary! I have watched you from the start of your Flosstube journey. It’s funny how your WIPs grow especially when you with watch Flosstube or produce one yourself. I know Charlecote House very well. They have stunning gardens. Can you please give me some information on the hardanger booklet that you received as I would love to contact Julie? To see if I could purchase one. Looking forward to your next video. Thanks for all you do. Tricia
Thank you so much for being a viewer from the very start! I do appreciate it! If you are interested in de hardanger stuff it is a booklet that goes with the course called 'Take the hard out of Hardanger'. Julie has a video on youtube where she gives the tutorial online. The title is Running with Scissors- Delightful Details #2- Take the Hard out of Hardanger- part 1. I hope it will help you! Lovely to hear you know Charlecote house. It was one of my favorite outings :). Happy stitching!
I love your Landmarks. Its beautiful but also very interesting. I think i like it with just the blank area between designs, it gives it separation without interfering in the design. First time i found you and i like that you said you probably did more starts because of your channel. Congratulations on the one year. I am stitching on my first biscornu, love the one you are working on. So many beautiful works.
Thank you so much for stopping by my channel. Love hearing that you are also on your first biscornu! Hope you are enjoying it as much as I do. Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Jubiläum! Ich verfolge deine Videos von Anfang an. Du hast wunderschöne Projekte in Arbeit.
I wish my German was good enough to reply to your in your own language, but unfortunately I have to resort to English. Thank you so much for watching and for this lovely comment. So nice to hear you have been watching from the start. Thanks for doing that!. Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
Hello, I enjoyed so much your video. So I bought the landmark patterns after seeing your piece . I would like to copy your placement of the places if you don't mind . Like most of your patterns.
Thank you so much. Great to hear you aim to start the landmarks as well and you are most welcome to copy my placement of the different landmarks. I am about to finish the eifeltower, so yay. Wishing you happy stitching!
Jouw project klinkt prachtig!
Congrats on one year of flosstube! Your videos are always fun and soothing to watch. I really like your UB Design piece and went to look for their website, but I can't seem to find it. Do you happen to have the link handy, and also do you know if they sell PDF files? I found some paper patterns on some general websites (maybe the European version of 123stitch?) but not their website (or maybe I couldn't tell for sure because I couldn't find English versions of the websites?) Thanks in advance & happy stitching! (Stopped to add this edit: Luca-S has Pattern Keeper compatible files that they can send to you if you prove that you have their kit - or if you have a really recent one, there may be a QR code in it already for you to get the file. Maybe that would help? Good luck!)
Thank you so much! I have looked through my emails and I ordered it from Cross Stitch Corner. It was not a pdf but a print version that was delivered to my house. And I received a lovely email from another viewer with the Luca-S pattern keeper file. So I will definitely stitch that piece :). Happy stitching!
The fabric was a nameless fabric I found in a basket at a stitching fair. And I use the white soie d'alger, one strand only. It comes out beautifully.

Thank you so much! Happy stitching!
Congratulations on your anniversary. I love your projects and stitching
Thanks for watching!
For complicated patterns, I take a photo of it and open it in Goodnotes on my IPad or phone. Goodnotes allows me to make the pattern as large as I want and to mark stitches off when I get them stitched. I loved your project parade.
Thank you so much for watching and for this tip! Happy stitching!
I love those owl forest embroidery deer pattern and I love your colours if you could tell me what they are I would be so grateful. Loved your wip parade and I love when a flosstube pops up from you x
Thank you so much! The colours I use are from Weeks Dye Works: Whiskey, Driftwood, Bullfrog and majestic purple. Happy stitching!
Happy Flossiversary! Thank you for sharing. I always enjoy seeing your work. I'm working on Longdog Samplers Fish n Ships and Lila's Studios Summer Quaker.
Sounds great! A long dog sampler is one of my future goals. They have so many gorgeous pieces. Happy stitching!
Happy flossaversary….i always enjoy your videos and look forward to a new upload.
Thank you so much!
Very nice WIP parade. Like your patterns you choose.
Thank you! 😊
Thank you so much for tuning in! I am happy to hear you enjoy the videos. Happy stitching
Thank you so much for watching since the very beginning! I so appreciate that! Wishing you a lovely Sunday. Happy stitching
I’m actually watching while doing my arm exercises for a small tear in my rotator cuff. It didn’t require surgery, just physical therapy. The doctor and therapists assured me it was not caused by all my stitching but it has limited the amount of time I can stitch in one session.
Oh that must be so frustrating. I wish you a speedy recovery!
Sorry.. just found it!!
Use a color pencil and color in symbols with magnifying glass. It helps me to distinguish stitches that look the same
Thank you so much! I guess I am from a generation that wants everything on a screen ;). But this sounds like a good method! Happy stitching
Happy Flosstubaversary!!
Groetjes, Evelien
Dank je wel Evelien. Ik denk ook wel dat ik dat project af wil maken, moet me gewoon even over de evenweave heen zetten ;). Fijne zondag!
Zulke prachtige projecten.
Had it really been one whole year! It seems like yesterday.
Time flies when we're having fun ;)
@@adutchstitcher Thanks for the information !
Hi! What did use stitch Moonlit Garden on? Which color DMC, too? Your stitching is lovely!
The fabric was a nameless fabric I found in a basket at a stitching fair. And I use the white soie d'alger, one strand only. It comes out beautifully. Happy stitching
So kind of you to offer your leftover floss for the lilacs piece…I would so appreciate the extra floss but I’m afraid I can’t find your email address.
h.wiltjer@live.nl
Is Moonlit Garden stitched on Wedgwood Blue aida?
I found the aida at a fair I went to in Belgium. They did not have any names on their fabrics unfortunately, so I wouldn't know. So sorry!
