127 bobbins! Oh my! That's wonderful! Such a gift from the Lord. Love all your stitching, as usual, but especially the Winter Garden. I also loved your finished Winter Robins. I don't ever stitch animals but both these pieces make my heart sing. I think I'll need to stitch them too! Have a wonderful March. C u soon!
Thanks! I love winter garden! Hope youre making progress on your winter birds. I stille enjoy seeing it in de corner of my living room. And so true, those bobbins felt like a heavenly blessing!
I love watching your videos. You are so calming to watch. I’ve been off work for a month and I think Monday after my first day back at work I may need to unwind just re-watching one of your videos! I love the small little projects you stitch that make a fair sized project.
Off work for a month, I am a bit jealous :). Hope you had a great time! Glad to hear you feel my flosstubes help you to relax. That is exactly the point of them. Good luck at work Monday, hope the day goes smoothly!
I am so happy to have found your channel!! My daughter was an exchange student in Leiden quite a few years ago and now for the last 14 years has lived in Trondheim Norway. I love all of your projects and your choice of fabrics and flosses. I have about the same amount of DMC floss!! Once again, so glad I found your channel!!
You are so welcome! Thanks for tuning in! Leiden is a beautiful city and it has a good university. But I would love to live in Scandinavia, so I think moving to Trondheim sounds great! Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
Thank you for watching. I have never been to Ohio, means your daughter and you are living a long way apart 😞. But glad to hear she introduced you to action and the handwerkboetiek. I love both! 😉. Happy stitching
Thank you for another enjoyable video. It's so nice to see designers from Europe as they aren't as well known in Canada. It helps when you are switching from one skein of floss to another to combine a single strand from both the new and old for a length of floss. By doing this, you end up with a blended needle and don't see that tiny variation you mentioned with your #321. Happy stitching!
Wow, thanks so much. That is such a useful tip and I will definitely use that. Glad you are enjoying to see some European designers as the majority of Flosstube doesn't include them (yet). Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
Another wonderful Flosstube. The floss that keeps breaking may benefit from being run over a block of Beeswax or there is a product called Thread magic, it used to be Thread Heaven but a different company makes it now. The beeswax is cheaper and works very well. I use long threads and it helps prevent tangling as well. I love your Bothy mouse. Their kits are very pricey but beautiful. If you get a DMC thread chart you can find the DMC thread matches Take care Wendy Swansea
Hi Wendy, thanks for your tip. I have tried beeswax before, but the piece got a very dirty feel to it, so I threw it away. Am a bit scared to try again :(. I have tried shorter threads and so far so good :). I think I will get a DMC chart, just because it is quite handy. A good reason to do some more shopping ;). Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
Those little stitchings are just adorable! Specially like the one that has the different "sightseeing" from all over the world! Good to hear your move went well! Happy Stitching!
Thank you so much. My landmarks piece does feel like I am sightseeing :), and I learn a lot from all these places all over the world. Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
Hello again, lovely stitching as usual. I have stitched a similar mouse, and love them both. Your birds will make gorgeous cards. See you next time Teri
I haven't viewed many floss tube videos lately, life has gotten in the way. Congratulations on your new home! Your stitching is beautiful ❤️ you are so inspiring 😊❤
You have interesting cross stitch patterns to work on. The finish of the hoop piece for your sister looked very neat to me ! I love the Bothy Threads mouse. I have accepted that cross stitching is not a cheap hobby, especially in my country where everything to do with it is imported. However, a finished picture lasts for years & years so it is worth it. I also believe that cross stitch designers have to make a living, especially if it is their only work so we should pay a fair price.
Thanks for watching and you are right about paying a fair price. I guess my point was more regarding the differences in pricing everywhere. I am sorry to hear you have to have things imported, on the other hand isn't it great we live in a world where we can shop everywhere ;). Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
Love the mountain landscape! And thanks for showing us the back. I'm stitching a small piece for a friend & was thinking about finishing it in a hoop, but wasn't sure how to make it tidy.
Thank you! There are several great tutorials on youtube from stitchers who will show their process way better than I did. But I am happy it inspired you! Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
I love watching your videos. You have such a calm and gentle way of speaking that I love. You might want to try weeks dye works colour guacamole for your green.
Thank you so much. I checked out guacamole, but found it a bit too light. It did point me to bullfrog and I have already ordered it. So thanks for your suggestion! Happy stitching
Nice to catch up with you again, everything you showed is beautifully stitched, I love it all, especially the tiny landmarks, fantastic little pieces. Have a lovely week ahead x
Hi Hanneke, and thank you for taking the time to record another flosstube so soon after all the upheaval of moving. Lovely stitching as always - I just started an Owl Forest Embroidery project (Two Dragons) and had the same problem with using over-dyed flosses and them breaking. Some interesting tips in your comments about that - might try using wax and see if that helps. And what a fantastic find in the second hand shop! I bet you had fun sorting it all! Happy stitching, Kim ❤
Hi Kim, great to see you again! Lovely to hear you have started another Owl Forest piece. We should keep each other going as I think the dragon's piece is a similar lay out as moon deer? So far I have worked with slightly shorter threads and that has done the trick! Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
I hope you have settled in well in your new flat. If you were to stitch the mouse in pink again, you could perhaps mirror the image. I think I said it before, Owl Forest Embroidery is one of my favorite Designers, I finished two of them and have another two WiPs of their designs. You picked out pretty flosses for your Moon Deer. Yes, 18ct black is a challenge. I can only work on my black piece with the right light. The colors are so beautiful on black. Wow, nice find in your second hand shop ♥
Great to hear you already finished two Owl Forest pieces. Have you got them framed? They are so stunning! Good luck on your black piece! It is a challenge, but the results are worth it. Wishing you a happy Sunday!
Welcome to your new home! It looks like a lovely place to settle into after a day's work and to stitch away! Your sister will love the mountain scene you made for her. And I'm thrilled that you found such a wonderful stash of floss. I enjoy your videos very much.
I was trying to stitch a difficult border on 40ct and using 1 strand of Weeks Dye Works thread (as on the chart). However, despise carefully unpicking (hoping to reuse a little if I ran out later) it just kept going into wisps so I was very disappointed. Well done finishing so many projects as you settle in. What a find of DMC. It's gone to a good new owner 😊.
Thank you so much. Sorry to hear you had to unpick, which is always such a depressing thing to do. Hope all is right again and you can just stitch away! Wishing you a lovely Sunday
Breaking threads are a sign of too long a strand. Really worth working with shorter strands. Conditioning WDW with bee’s wax helps if the Aida is rough on the floss as well. Owl Forest has beautiful floss - I have 15+ of their kits in my stash from pre2022. Fun to stitch up.
Thanks so much. The shorter strands seem to do the trick. Wishing you lots of fun with all your Owl Forest kits! No need to be bored ;). Happy stitching
Wow, so much stitching done while moving plus working! Yes, shopping for cross stitch, when you are tired, does also count as stitching, sort of 😂 at least that is what I tell myself. Nice haul, and that bag of thread from the thrift store is awesome. I really like the projects you stitch, and your colour substitutions are beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend, Zsófi
Thank you so much! I appreciate you taking the time to watch my video. Happy to hear we both feel that shopping is part of stitching ;), I guess sometimes it is a way to relax. Hope you have a lovely Sunday!
love your work. Try Cotton Club Crafts ,they do the best price on bothy kits , in the UK and may ship to you , have that one and the mouse on the dandelion for some reason they were way more expensive than the larger kits in the range , I love their kits
Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately shipping from the UK is very expensive these days 😞. I have bought another kit elsewhere though! So stay tuned 😉. Happy stitching
I just found your channel. I love your choice of designs, some of which I haven't seen before! I stitch with 18 inch strands.of thread, but using bees ' wax could also solve the breaking problem you had. I just got the mountain scene you stitched; haven't started it yet. I also love the mouse on the spool. I think I will have to purchase that one for sure!
Welcome to my channel, so happy you enjoyed my video! So good to hear that you are aiming to stitch a mountain scene, they are so lovely! And the little mouse is making e smile every morning when I see it on my desk. So I can only recommend it! Happy stitching!
I look forward to seeing your videos. You work on such unique projects. I haven’t seen any of them before. I’m sure you are glad the move is completed and you can get back to your normal routine. What a great floss find. I had a similar thing happen to me and I just couldn’t believe my luck!
I love all your new starts but I really love the landmarks one the best. It is so breath taking. You do beautiful work. I am working on a Dragon on Black Aida Cloth and I know what you mean about a difficult piece. I never thought about putting a white towel underneath. I am going to try that. I always enjoy your videos so now I can not wait to see you again in 3 weeks. Love your channel.
I really enjoyed your video, good progress on a lot of wips. Thank you for mentioning each one of them in the box below, it was quite useful. I loved the finished mountain landscape so I think I will start one of those four ones in April. Happy stitching and blessings for your new home!
Thank you so much for watching. So happy to hear you will also start a landscape pattern. They are so joyful. I actually just purchased the other two so now I can stitch all four of them :). Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
Zulke mooie finishes. Ik denk dat de owlforest prachtig word. Voor C stond UBdesigns ook op handwerkbeurs. Goede vondst.
Fijne zondag!
Thank you for watching! No need to say sorry :), my name is Hanneke. I don't add my initials to my work, I usually find it distracts me from the piece and it doesn't match my need for symmetry ;). Happy stitching!

Hanneke, your videos are delightful and calming for me. I love your enthusiasm for your projects. Look forward to many more. ❤
Thank you Sarah! I appreciate your support! Wishing you a lovely Sunday, hopefully with some stitchy time.
Your stitching and projects are beautiful. I very much enjoyed stitching along with you today and I look forward to your next video.
Thank you so much! Great to hear you are stitching while watching! It is my favorite way to watch flosstube as well. Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
Beautiful stitching again. The full coverage piece is so beautiful. The flowers on the black really stand out.
Thank you so much. Wishing you a lovely Sunday!

Thank you for watching! No need to say sorry :), my name is Hanneke. I don't add my initials to my work, I usually find it distracts me from the piece and it doesn't match my need for symmetry ;). Happy stitching!
Annemiek's shop, sorry that changed
Try to use shorter strand?
I did and it works a lot better now 😀
Happy stitching
What was the website for those hoop frames?
That was Modern Hoopla. Thanks for watching!
