Always love seeing your progress and hearing the enthusiasm in your voice for this craft. Wonderful your Sister has started stitching . Those beaded bags are stunning, such a talent. Have a great vacation!
It is so nice your sister is stitching now too. You have a lot of progress on your WIP's. The one with the deer is going to be so beautiful and I really like the mandala on black. Thank you for your kind words on my Eliza's French Birds, that is just the sweetest comment! I was a bit behind but I'm all caught up now on your video's. Enjoy the rest of our extra long weekend! 🌞
Hanneke, the Artecy piece is just stunning, the colours are so vibrant! You are stitching some really lovely pieces, with a wide variety of patterns. Love them all!! The beaded bags were really amazing. Thanks for a great video. Teri
Have a great holiday. The flowers on the black fabric is stunning. It will be so beautiful when finished, so don’t give up. Everything was beautiful today. Happy Stitching!
Your work, again, is just stunning. I believe you have the heart of an artist, as well as the eyes. It shows it each project you choose and the colors of those project...absolutely stunning. And I adore the red and black!! Enjoy your holiday!
You choose the loveliest projects and the projectss must look even lovelier off camera. Your mum has framed her gift well. It still looks stunning. I look forward to seeing more of the Moon Deer especially. Hope you have better weather on your holiday. Our forecast isn't good in the UK. More rain and not very warm temperatures as we go into May.
Dear Hanneke, a very nice video again! Your stitching is beautiful. How cool your sister has started stitching too! Mine knits and does crochet, but cross stitch I couldn't get her hooked on (yet 😉). Wow, those beaded purses are so interesting and nice! The variegated green leaves in moon deer turned out perfect, I'll have to give this method a go. Have a great holiday! 👋
Wat een leuke video weer. Wat een geluk dat je het mooie Marjolein Bastin patroon bij de kringloop hebt gevonden (en dat de dmc nummers erop vermeld staan). Veel borduurplezier! Groetjes, Evelien
Congrats on getting your sister and mom stitching again. I am trying to get my daughter to do some, lol. She says she doesn’t have the time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work.
A very enjoyable video. I love the July poppies. I stitched the Lanarte Bastin Roses for a friend about 20 years ago ! I only did the centre. I would not stitch the word either, we can see that they are roses. The beaded bags are lovely.
I love hearing your voice as I stitch…and, I love all of your projects. I have recently ordered my first Magic Needle kit…Lilac…I am not fond of Aida so I’m going to stitch it on Jobelan…my husband absolutely loves lilacs! I hope you have a wonderful holiday…
So great to hear that! I hope you will enjoy the stitch as much as I did. It is so pretty and it will look great on the fabric you have chosen. Happy stitching and do let me know how you find it!
Thank you for showing Tineke's stunning beaded bags. For my daughter's wedding in Ottawa, I attached a beaded embroidered piece of silk matching her wedding gown to her great-great-grandmother's silver brace (ca. 1860, Zuid Holland). Not as much work as beading! It was the "Something old" part of the wedding saying "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue."
Another lovely video - thank you for sharing all your stitching progress. I’m amazed to see your work on the black Aida - I’ve struggled with dark fabric in the past and so for right now I chose lighter colors. Maybe I’ll try working on a medium grey in the future. I wish you a wonderful holiday with your mom, with lots of stitching time.
I also have Raffaella Serena's book on Berlin Work and did some research on a vintage piece I have from the Smithsonian Museum. Regarding who embroidered the bird motif first, I cannot say, but printed graph paper patterns became very popular, especially after the invention of aniline dyes to produce new, vividly colored yarn. See pages 89-91 in the book. I would assume both birds were produced by women who had the same pattern.
Thank you sooo much for this. I tried to look up who was first, but did not get very far. I was very surprised to find a similar pattern, I thought in those days they often made up their own patterns. So I learned something today, Thank you! Happy stitching
The Moon Deer is so beautiful. I stitch in the morning too. I get up at 4:00 a.m. and do some housework and by 6:00 a.m. I am stitching away. I love the Landmarks piece. It is a very unique stitch. The Spring Sampler is so beautiful but I understand why you do not do as much on it because of the black aida cloth it is so hard to see. Your back of your piece is so beautiful. You are a very neat stitcher. You should continue on it. You should stitch your name instead of Rosa. Enjoy your Holiday & Happy Stitching.
They are cranes! The piece is very pretty. Unfortunately I am struggling with finding the right fabric and floss 😞. Sometimes it just doesn't come together the way I imagine it. Happy Sunday!
Your stitching is beautiful. Have a wonderful vacation.
Lovely projects! You do great work. Enjoy your vacation!!

I guess I cannot hide my passion 😉, luckily on flosstube we can all geek out as much as we like 😉. Happy stitching

Your work is well done. So many flosstubers have said how difficult they find stitching on black. Yours looks so good. Keep stitching!
Thank you 😀

Ja kan me voorstellen dat dit soort dingen op beurzen flink wat opleveren. Fijne zondag!

Isn't morning stitching just the best! I love that time of day! 😀
Thank you for the beautiful video as always, I love the owl forest you’ve chosen, are they swans? It’s very pretty!
