I've noticed something people aren't mentioning. Most people are guessing there is a time limit on spawns, because they start flashing, BUT if you look closely they only start flashing when Zelda no longer has enough tris, and it's the oldest thing she spawned that flashes. Look at the first bed at the Gerudo section, when she spawns the trampoline the oldest bed she put down flashes. I think it isn't a timer but a 'if you spawn something else, this flashing one will despawn'.
@@ZeldaLore This is 2 months late, but I wanted to point out to you that the Gerudo here has pointed ears, just like the Gerudo from BOTW/TOTK, not rounded ears. Look closer at the footage.
It appears most, if not all echoes will be on a timer as the clip of Zelda entering Gerudo Town shows the first bed she placed start to flash yellow just like the Moblin

Welcome back! So glad we finally have new Zelda content to talk and theorize about and analyze, and to see regular videos from you again. Just noticed in your video that in the underground part with the skulltulas that it shows the current known max echo triangle limit, will be interesting to see how many it can be upgraded to.
Link fails in his fight with Ganon... I think this is the event that BEGINS the Downfall Timeline!! Any relation to the previously released Link's Awakening is likely due to asset recycling (just like Majora's Mask). Reallly, I think this is a prequel to ALttP. This video is the highest detail I've ever seen, even looking at T-Shirts! Very well done, sir... Chapeau!!
@mrgreatbigmoose I thought the downfall timeline was created when Link time traveled in OOT - in the other timeline where he was sent back he ends up losing against Ganondorf.
@@aithjawcraig9876 That's the child and adult timelines. The downfall timeline is a non-existent scenario where Link supposedly loses to the final boss. I always thought this was a dumb idea and it makes more sense that perhaps the scenario where Link is sealed in time for 7 years happened as a result of Link failing to defeat Ganondorf as a child. That said, I don't think this is the start of the downfall timeline, either, because the world is too much like LTTP rather than OOT, but I do think its very likely this game is pre-LTTP. Just not immediately after OOT.
@JaidynReiman if they are a bit constrained by reusing some LA assets, I could see this as a meld between ALttP/ALBW's map and OoT's map. Link's house isn't there yet, the mountain and volcano are further apart, etc. and so I'm betting prequel.
I rather think the Sword looks more like the Noble Sword or White Sword (the Japanese name for Noble Sword) from the Oracle Games and Hyrule Warriors, so maybe this is what the Noble Sword looks like when it got the Holundrum/Labrynna Dublicate of the Master Sword, this explains why it can harm Ganon without spin attacks since you cannot harm him in the Oracle Games without either a Spin Attack or the "Master Sword Dublication" I honestly don't think they'll do more Zonai References outside of Tears of the Kingdom considering they easily throw their new races away just to make a new one.
The trident could just be a reused assets I mean why would they make a new trident when they already had the model of that one from the Links Awakening Remake. I do think it being a sequel to Link to the past would be interesting however
This is the safest explanation. The oddity here though is the world map itself. That is more important, because they had to recreate the LTTP world map using the LA art style. Its possible they started as a remake of LTTP again and decided to make a new game, again. Or maybe they purposely recreated the LTTP world map while desiring to make a new game based on that world. Unfortunately we can't know for sure without interviews.
My only problem with the TP map comparison is Death Mountain should still be in the east. Specifically south east of Snow Peak/Hebra. I think a much more logical approach would be to use BotW map combined with the fact volcanoes can turn off and on through the ages. It’s possible Mount Hebra and Death Mountain are active at different times and keep switching back and forth. This could also explain why in WW the rito village is an active volcano but an Ice Mountain by the time of BotW.
This game is connected to so many other games but I can’t say it isn’t connected to breath of the wild with the way it threw in so many little things that reminded me of that game
I loved playing Link's Awakening and the cute art style. This game has me excited. I just hope this game is bigger and deeper. My only complaint with Link's Awakening was it was too short. I know it was originally a game boy game but I just wanted more!
"It is clear" No its not. The simplest explanation is they reused the same model from Link's Awakening remake. Remember that in Link's Awakening, the Ganon design was always supposed to be based on LTTP to begin with despite the trident shape not matching. The rest of the world being so significantly different from LTTP's world kills the idea of it being directly adjacent to LTTP.
Its OOT Gerudo because they're wearing Gerudo Thief masks, which have only ever been seen post-OOT in MM (which were Pirates and reused the OOT models) and the past events of TOTK. In all other appearances they don't wear masks. I do agree that it looks like they might have pointed ears, but its hard to say from this angle.
@@ZeldaLoreit also can’t be a sequel to ALttP because in ALBW there is still no separation between Death Mountain and Mount Hebra. And Death Mountain is now where the Lost Woods and the Master Sword should be. I get that Hyrule’s geography is inconsistent, but I don’t think it’s that inconsistent. Hence why I believe that, as of now, it is either after Zelda 2 in the Downfall Timeline, or between the Imprisoning War and BotW in a new timeline spawned from the end of SS.
@@felipemesquita7697 Honestly its not physically possible for the mountains to split apart that far. And Death Mountain in LBW is volcanic throughout the whole thing, its just that only the west half has a crater (in Spectacle Rock). We can see spectacle rock here and its not volcanic. The western mountain didn't "split" from the eastern mountain, it always existed and just wasn't visible from that map. This new volcanic mountain is west of the Lost Woods, beyond the boundaries of the maps shown in LTTP and LBW.

Alright, time for a “Timeline Placement Guessing Game” for this one! After watching this analysis, and having in mind that the game is still not out, I think there are only 2 possible placements where this game can fit: Either the very end of the Downfall Timeline, after Zelda 2; or in a different timeline that spawned after the defeat of Demise in the end of Skyward Sword, where I believe BotW and TotK are set in, therefore being set somewhere after the Imprisoning War and before BotW. My reasons for believing it to be at the end of the Downfall Timeline have to do with the geography of this Hyrule and the many races found across the trailer. I believe that, after Zelda 2, given the state of Hyrule at the time, one of the Zeldas, or both, must have wished upon the completed Triforce for the restoration of the land to its former glory from before Ganon. This would imply that, over time, Hyrule began a process of healing that could have drawn back the many races seen in the trailer back to the kingdom, causing it to be a mix between what is seen in ALttP and OoT. The geography of the kingdom makes me believe it even more. My reasons for a new timeline are many, but to keep it simple, it could be a means for Nintendo to tell whatever stories they want without being too chained by the timeline seen in Hyrule Historia as well as not ditching the previous continuity entirely. With this in mind, it could be that this game is set anywhere between the Imprisoning War and BotW, with the elements from other timelines returning and coming together to make a brand new story with “rhyming” tidbits here and there to other games and lore, as I believe that this possible new timeline spawned from the end of SS could be some kind of “Unified Timeline” formed by bringing together and reinterpreting other timelines’s lores. The goddess statue, the Sheikah visuals, the “pedestal” near the Deku Tree, and even the details of Link’s weapons and hood gives me reason to think as such. In the end, we have to wait and see.
The geography of Hyrule debunks both placements. First this Hyrule is too small for it to come after Zelda II as Zelda II Hyrule expanded a vast distance to the north dwarfing the Hyrule of all other games. Second why would the map morph from being the Breath of the wilds map to something resembling the fallen timeline map and then morph BACK in to the Breath of the wilds map answer it wouldn't and if you want proof compare the Breath of the wilds map with the Geoglyphs map.
