Thanks Dave, I love looking at old towns, buildings yesterday years to today old cars new cars. Amazing some building same name even after burn rebuilding.-Kid Yuma
Its been over 20 years since I've been in tombstone, but like some of the locals once told me. You never forget it once you've been there, and they were right, I never forgot it. Just a mesmerising place full of mystery and a certain kind of romance.
Thanks Dave. I love these Then and Now comparisons. Although sometimes I get a little melancholy thinking about the way things used to be. Oh well, time marches on.
I liked it, thank you. There is a compilation of pictures of before and after D day. That was mesmerizing so these things do have an audience. Thank you again.
I always wondered why the town didn't make the oriental saloon an actual saloon and lunch counter like it was back in the day. I realize that it would be very costly but I believe it would be very lucrative as well. And people would flock to it as they do big nose mates and the palace . just wondered why..... Any answers on that.
Yes, but the point is, it was once the go to saloon in town where so much of the towns history was made. It would be cool as all get out if it was a saloon and lunch counter as it use to be. I don't know, maybe they think there's to many saloons in town as it is. Just thoughts, that's all. Love your channel bro. Keep it going.
Nice, great contrast of old and now. However ..... I noticed what might be a discrepancy in the church photos. The black & white of the church appears to be what was St. Paul's Episcopal which was on the corner of N.3rd St and Safford. I hope it's still there! The current picture appears to be the Catholic church which as I recall is a couple of blocks away on Safford. You might want to check that out. Keep the videos coming.
I think you’re right. I spoke with a historian who told me the church was at 6th and safford. There you’ll find the church in the video. There was a plaque there that said the original church burned down and this one was built in the 40s. I didn’t go to third and safford. 😞
So cool to see how the buildings changed and what they had been used for over the years. I'm curious though, do the people who live so close to Boothill ever see ghosts there at night? It'd be interesting to hear from town folks
Hello, when I lived in Tombstone from 2000 - 2003 there was often talk of people seeing ghosts around town. Most of the talk was about the Allen St area. There was some talk about ghosts in the Boot Hill area as well. A woman whose husband managed the OK Corral during those years claimed to have seen a ghost in there as well. I heard several times that Boot Hill was actually larger than it now is and remains have been discovered around that area over the years during construction projects. Which is a reasonable believe because of the number of people who lived there during the boom years and the lack of specific record keeping of the time. That would lend to ghost stories around Boot Hill.
@Desert.Sky.Adventures I stayed the night at the Bordello b&b and didn't notice anything, but the basement at Big Nose Kate's was creepy.. I personally haven't seen anything there, but there is a distinct feeling there. Not sure what it is, but it does draw you there again and again.
if you get a chance look up the witness statements of the gun fight. Mrs King mentions she was in the meat market when the fight took place. Really interesting
Yeah great idea for a video Dave was way Cool brother!!!🎥🎬✌️👍😎 Squirrel not on subject but maybe you could make a video of the RV parks around town and maybe even some hotels!!!
Would love to go back and love in these times. Seemed much simpler.
Thanks Dave. Awesome pictures, thank you for sharing👍
Thanks 👍
Thankyou for this "Then and Now" video of this historic place!! I've always wondered what it was like over the years. 😊

Glad you enjoyed it
@@Desert.Sky.Adventures I really do enjoy seeing old pics to present days in appropriately same place
That was cool. I was married (it didn't work out) in Tombstone in the church you show toward the end. Nice little trip down memory lane. Thanks.
You’re welcome!
Wow thank you.

True!
100% true! Went once and now I go back every time I can!
Love your videos man just so cool to see historic photos of Tombstone. I can’t wait to come back again in October!
Have fun!
It looks like the city has tried to keep everything as original as possible . Pretty cool. :O)
The folks of Tombstone should be proud. The town looks great. Pride of ownership abounds.
An important part of American history.
That’s right.
Great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Wonderful film, loved your collection of old photos 👋🏜
Thanks Mercedith!
Thanks Dave.
I love these Then and Now comparisons.
Although sometimes I get a little melancholy thinking about the way things used to be.
Oh well, time marches on.
I know the feeling.
You did well to match the old to the new. Whe I do that sort of thing, I mess up the match.
This was interesting, thank you
My pleasure!

Thanks for watching!
Amazing pictures brother !!!
More people should know about tombstone !
Yes they should!
This is a good one. You matched up the pics very well. 👍
Thank you very much!

Not sure. It’s owned by the same people who own the crystal palace and they serve food there.

Nicely done....really enjoy the pics....especially the comparison!!!! Thank you
Thank you very much!
Birdcage Theater is the most haunted place I've ever been to, especially downstairs.

The Crystal Palace looks so much better now than the original.
True.
Nice work as always Dave. Great video.
Thanks again!
A great video Dave, Interesting to see how the town has changed over the years
Yes it is. Thanks!

I have a friend that lives near Boot Hill. He said he’s never seen any ghosts.

Oh this whole town is haunted if you ask me. Just because most people don’t see them, doesn’t mean they aren’t there.

Excellent. I must have missed this one. Is there any indication where Bauers Meat Market used to be?
I’m not sure on that one.

We should have one on the RV parks soon on Discover Tombstone RUclips.
Fun video
Thank you for this Video.
I see in 4:30 ....Swastikas in the middle of the Front under the Cofe-window....WHY ???
Nice Regards from Germany
It’s Native American art. See the arrows and the buffalo?
In town this week, Want to meet up?
Wish I could be were going to be filming our movie next week. Sorry about that. Hope you have a good time tho!
I believe the streets were dirt in the mid 1950’s - am I remembering correctly?
Thanks🎉
I’m not sure. I wasn’t around back then. Lol
They should have built it back the way it was original
I was there in 1969 when it was still a really cool place. Now, it is just T shirt shops and all the usual tourist crap.
If you haven’t been here since 1969 how would you know that? PS: there are no T shirt shops in town.
I didn't give a like because the pix went by too fast and you should have added dates to the original pix (circa xxxx).
Nobody knows when most of these pics were taken so that wouldn’t be possible.
Absolutey my favorite video yet and I’ve been here since the beginning. Very cool. Maybe slow down jsut a tad tho the images fly by just like time 😎
Thanks for your support Danny! I’ll slow it down next time.
We can always watch it again 😂
Awesome love it.
Thank you! Cheers!
I went to tombstone in may 2023 and I loved it very cool picture and very cool video . 👍👏🏜
Thanks 😀
