@@calimero600cat’s dna has barely changed since thousands of years ago, their dna is still around 95% matched to their ancestors So cats are also technically wild animals lol
I've seen bird trainers (for films and so forth) complaining that in their view owls are "dumb" because "they won't learn what I want them to". Kind of get the feeling that these trainers are the ones who are dumb...and that they're in for a real shock when they have human children.
Exactly! Typically this misconception is because sight based training only works with select few owl species. And trainers (rescue, falconers etc) rely almost entirely on hearing, it would be like asking a blind person to "read better" and then calling them dumb for not being able to!
Maybe the owls are smarter than the trainers. Their wild side is so ingrained in their psyche that they don't give in to mere mortals....they've done very well for themselves and want no part of being held in captivity as someone's 'pet'. Your sadly mistaken if you take one in and think one day he won't peck out your eyes - good luck with your new hobby of trying to train wild animals in captivity!
What a beautiful snowy owl. Making a steam kettle noise! And the eagle owl is a good looking fellow (or girl?)! I like what he says, his voice. Like Gregory Peck! 🐁🐀🐓
now this isn't something you see everyday. an odd, weird, exotic or endangered animal in the HOME of a random Asian family. oh, wait. this is something you see everyday on YT.
@Brunette_2005 I find it interesting that some people can make that divide and say that it’s wrong to own an exotic bird like an owl, but it’s not wrong to on a domestic bird like a parakeet. I mean, where do they think that parakeets originated from? It’s not like Petco sat down manufactured them. As long as the the person takes responsibility and ownership seriously and the bird is happy and healthy. What else matters? Also did anybody else see Hedwig or was it just me? LOL 😂
I kinda wanna have a owl, but I can't be bothered to pay for all the certificates required to legaly raising a owl. I can reasonably believe that they make for nice companions.
Most of owl owners are usually in Japan and Russia. It’s on their people if it should stay legalized or not. I do relatively agree that owls aren’t made to be indoor pets.
As much as I hate to say, this, my opinion goes both ways I do think owls should not be in captivity but at the same time they have lives of hardship I know what the animal kingdom is you know harsh I mean hell 65 million years ago and before that there were things that would kill you just for looking at you funny but I was these things deserve all the love and affection in the world regardless if it’s if somebody owns them and as much as I want to say, owls should be kept in captivity I have to agree with they shouldn’t but if you do see one you know just leave it unless it’s in danger then just help it and if it can’t fly nurse it back to hell, but we all know of the attachments birds can have
Por que los tienen en casas y no pueden estar en su Aviat estas aves majestuosas?? Por lo que tengo entendido no son animales domesticos como perros o gatos.
@@AidenApplehead well yes, if they had the chance to fly away they probably would, but birds in captivity dont have that kind of freedom. The people that I’m talking about in this video don’t seem to have an outdoor space for them at all, and even if they did it would be fully enclosed. Some species of owls probably make good pets, but that doesn’t mean you should keep them as pets. They’re birds, they’re supposed to fly and be wild. Owls shouldn't be the toys of "human beings", they should live in the forest free and able to fly. What is wrong with you that it is not enough to have a dog or a cat as a pet?
Dogs and cats suffer in captivity too tho. By your logic, treating owls like this is wrong, but with cats and dogs it's ok? Some cats and dogs never see the outside and end up being stressed and dangerous because of it. Is this ok for you?
