Your message of hope has been inspiring and helps start the day with a positive mood. Was just wondering if you’ve got a message of hope for people with violent thoughts towards others?
For me, the biggest problem with AAA games is that they're relying too much on graphics to push their product when that's secondary to what most people want. Graphics is good for marketing, but it also means that you're going to lock out the people who don't have the latest high end systems. You really see this problem with the exclusive New 3DS games back in the day. I also feel that going woke isn't what's killing these games, but rather the awful writing that's usually associated with it. If it was what's woke that was killing these games, a lot more people would be opposed to the likes of Final Fantasy XVI or Baldur's Gate 3, but most people seem to let this go and even blame other things in the case of Final Fantasy XVI. They like to pick on Persona 3's changing of one scene's censorship, ignorant of the fact that it was already removed from the PSP version, and completely ignore the likes of Kanji and Naoto in Persona 4. Silent Hill 2's remake sales silenced most people who complained about Angela's design. Yet, this isn't the case. We're seeing some succeed and others fail. To me, this makes it clear that a game being woke isn't what's killing it. People from these games with different backgrounds come together because they have a common goal, something that seems lost in a lot of modern writing. Modern writing takes away things like agency and doesn't take the dive into the character's identity and who they are. Groups like this are at times at odds with one another due to contrasting opinions and personal goals, something that is also lost in a lot of modern writing. Instead, everyone is homogenized in some way and it devolves into tokenism where that one identity is the entire character. If you decide to make a character have a disability, you need to make sure it matters in the story somehow. If you want to bring in their sexual orientation, it needs to matter to them somehow. To me, that is the problem with modern writing. This is even more true in established intellectual properties with existing characters. You can't just come in and change existing characters to suit your needs. They are a fixed template that you need to work off of if you wish to include them. You can't just ignore all their past experiences either.
Idgaf about the culture war. Preaching at me in videos games is just bad for buisness. I dont see what game corporations are missing? All they have to do is focus on the game and not inject politics into it. Sure "journalists" will throw a fit. But capitalism doesnt give a shit about their feelings.
Fair points, but most of the gaming industry is not doing well regardless of gamergate or not. In my opinion you're mixing causation with correlation and the same things you're saying the left is doing with an echo chamber is what you're doing with this "go woke, go broke" narrative . Not saying you're rightwing or really any political stance, but you're taking select data points and coming to a conclusion...which I'm not sure is fully innocent. However, your channel, your voice.
Sure, a lot of people are losing their jobs in the industry. Even in healthy companies. It' s the DEI infested studios that really get wrecked, though. And it couldn' t happen to a more deserving crowd :D
2024 has been a great year for gaming. You're just focusing on the bad games that were released recently, there have been great bangers released recently like Black Myth Wukong, Stellar Blade, Space Marine 2, Like A Dragon Infiite Wealth, FF7 remake, Baldurs Gate 3 and so on.
@@Hazza101 Me? I didn't focus on any games. Overall the industry shrunk...that doesn't mean everything shrunk...but definitely the industry continued it's consolidation from last year. I agree, this year has been great for gaming, just as last year. His use of game economics to defend his point doesn't necessarily mean a game was bad or good. My point is that there are way fewer winners than there are losers...and that usually happens during industry consolidation. Additionally, Dragon Age just came out and is a single player game that usually has a very long tail that includes DLCs and licensing agreements. Something that just came out and has a tail of roughly 10 years...will it be a success? who knows...But Ginger Prime is trying to make something more entertaining than factual and that's what content creators do...I'm just providing more nuance that isn't so entertaining/doesn't neatly fit into an ideology.
@@marccreation1052 Would be great if you expanded or gave examples...but just thrashing a group as deserving or DEI infested makes your claim even less serious, and also speaks more about you than those workers or studios.

Dragon age origins is a game on its own, "Dragon age series" got ruined by the staff changes when EA took over they put new management in place and Dragon age 2 IS SOOO DIFFERENT, but bioware still had their writers with that said the writer manager did change hands at that time, then dragon age inquisition was a back to routes with "assassins' greed style" game play with collectables open world quests taking you to one place then the other place endlessly for the sakes of prolonging "Game play" , After anthem last bit of bioware soul left or got fired, Dragon age veilguard isnt made by the same staff who made Dragon age origins, Bioware is a husk of a company controlled VIA the EA managers that got instated, 0 hopes for mass effect, since mass effect andromeda happened.

I bet Mass Effect characters will be ugly
Fair points, but most of the gaming industry is not doing well regardless of gamergate or not. In my opinion you're mixing causation with correlation and the same things you're saying the left is doing with an echo chamber is what you're doing with this "go woke, go broke" narrative . Not saying you're rightwing or really any political stance, but you're taking select data points and coming to a conclusion...which I'm not sure is fully innocent. However, your channel, your voice.
It’s not everything, but it’s a significant part of the picture. Pretending it’s unclear seems disingenuous.
Mer caan tay
I was loving your message until you went all christian on my ass :p
It's all good my dude :)
Epic cringe crybaby complex on display again
K, bye.
I am on the border of "you dunno what your talking about" at "Why are you talking about this"...
