So Arsenal went for Watkins. But then Boniface didn't happen and Al Nassr went for Duran. So the market opportunity for Watkins evaporated. I guess that was proactivity from Arsenal

I'm outraged at this club and it's pathetic way of not trying to win, I suspected we were not going to make any signings after Kvaratskhelia went to PSG and we didn't even bid. F*** this team.
Villa won't sell Watkins for anything less than £80 million. They don't actually need to as they've just sold Duran. And even though we need a striker, paying £80 million for Watkins is not a good financial deal for us.
I want to add a different perspective to the negligence comments. I want us to sign a striker as much as anyone. People often don’t think about it this way, but it’s equally negligent and even more damaging to the squad to go and overpay for a player you don’t really want. They’ve clearly kicked the tyres on signing Sesko this month & been told no fairly emphatically by Leipzig. Nico Williams has a release clause but he’s also a left winger & I’m not sure how much that helps the crisis we have (we already have 3 healthy players whose best position is LW). Thanks Charles. I don't know but a part of me feels like if it was one of our starting centre backs (a la Gabriel or Saliba) who who got injured and was out like Saka has, by now Arteta would have signed a another defender by now (whether by his own decision or by a sheer force of will in the getting the board to do it), but when it comes to signing an attacker, for some reason we are always willing to wait for the "the right fit" or ready to keep our "powder dry" until our target becomes available. We've all seen very good attacking talents move for moderate prices this January window (like kvaratskhelia, Marmouch) but at the end of the window you'll hear there just wasn't enough quality on offer and we'll wait till the summer where we can go and continue to flirt with Nico Williams again (because he's the only winger fit for Arsenal in the whole wide world).
There are both a) a lot more CBs of required standard out there than strikers and b) a lot more clubs who are prepared to sell a CB mid season than a striker. Isn’t it just supply and demand? I wouldn’t describe the Marmoush deal as moderate price - I think City have overpaid by at least £20m. PSG had done a lot of work on Kvara and didn’t let anyone get a sniff when the opportunity arose. LW is also the one attacking position we don’t really need for our immediate crisis. Rather than criticise this month (I think it’s legit that it’s almost impossible to sign someone who can give us what we need now & not hurt long term), I’m more annoyed about the summer window. If we wanted Cunha, why didn’t we push and get that over the line then rather than going for Sterling?
@mattc1176 I understand your take on the difficulty of the January window and I agree to a considerable extent. But I most share in your frustration of the last summer window. The entire point I was trying to convey is people blame the board for not making enough funds available but I don't see it that way, I feel like they always have. Last summer, we actually spent over £150m, the summer before that we spent over £200m, none of that was spent on a forward. But the intentionality, sense of urgency i percieve from Arteta when signing defensive players is not the same as the attackers regardless of their relative availability. Even this coming summer, I won't be shocked if we sign another goalkeeper (Arteta signs one every summer transfer window) and another full back.
@mattc1176 To be fair Sterling was just a cheap market opportunity. Free loan, only paying 100k pw of his 250k + wages. Took a punt, but sadly looks like he isn't half the player he was at City. Never know though, if he scores 1 or 2 absolute vital goals maybe we'll look back and say was a success?
Anyone else completely bored with this window..? 32 days of talk and what has actually happened ? City have signed a couple and Tottenham got a number 2 goalie .. it’s not exactly earth shattering..Still Sky rattle on about Marcus Rashford and Mattias Tell ( me neither ) ..
Biggest decisions to be made is RW and LB. Show faith in Ethan for me but I’ve never been so torn at LB. MLS is one of us and he’s been impervious so far and I think he could be the better all round option for now. Calafiori is complete joy though.2 years ago Zinchenko was seen as the standard for an inverted LB and I’ve never seen anyone roam around like Calafiori. He’s LB, CM, LW, CF. Along with the flowing locks of hair, straying offside before slotting one home. Inverting into Prime Cavani. There’s something about that Italian sauce that makes you fall in love.
No signings @charleswattsAfcnews, and you think this is acceptable? The bid for Watkins is a joke, if your serious you put that bid in 4 weeks ago, or even last summer! Has edu leaving impacted the recruitment process that dramatically?
If we dont get anyone the season isn't over. But for dodgy decisions and red cards we'd be top now- especially if Odegaard and Sakha hadnt gotten injured. Liverpool will drop points, just like they did in the last 4 months last season. We can always put Martinelli up top to give something different to Havertz.
We were never buying anyone in this window, the lack of a permanent sporting director and the clubs love of money over trophies should have made us poor fans realise we’ve been taken for a ride 😢
Hey Charles 😃 My predicted 11: Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly, Odegaard, Partey, Rice, Martinelli, Havertz, Trossard. Result: Arsenal 4 Man City 2.
He's clearly not that bothered. He was giving it large a Villa park the other night tapping the badge and telling the Holte End he's staying. He's perfectly happy where he is. Arsenal fans just can't understand it because Arsenal is their world. I know he gave an interview 5 years ago but he clearly isn't that bothered or he would ask to leave
Arsenal should go for viktor gyökeres 75mill pounds would make it happen. You will be getting a proper no9 with all the qualities you need to win the league.
I disagree about taking a risk with a fwd player. For the next few months, we don’t need to get the Erling Haaland tried and tested FWD. I think in this part of the season where we have Kai, we can take a gamble on a raw FWD with potential. Looking at Marmoush’s debut at City, you can tell he is still miles off but he can take his game a bit up. Kai is our striker for the rest of the season, so bringing in an affordable reasonable backup to learn the ropes, gain game time, and fit into the system on the bench and in training wouldn’t be a bad idea. He’d be an additional goal source compared to what we have right now, which is NOTHING.
Hello Charles. I wouldn't be suprised if villa sell watkins anyway. He is thier biggest earner and they have 96% wages to tunover ratio. That plus they could be out if the champions league nxt season might just be enough let him leave this season. This depends on if they get a replacement and we agree a fee.
Really disappointing that we haven't signed someone given that at least one of our long-term targets (Nico Williams) has a release clasue. We are too thin up front not to sign someone, even if the player isn't ideal. Even a cut-rate Rashford would have been better than nothing.
Mike Biereth Hattrick today for Monaco. How much did we sell him for? Yes okay we included a sell-on clause but its more talent players we let go for cheap. These are areas of the club where we need VAST improvement
Just splash the cash. Failure in the transfer market is always because Arsenal doesn't want to go close to the amount clubs want for their players. I don't think anyone will sell you anything if you pay $5 for a $10 item. Arsenal just don't understand 🔥
Sounds like Tel wants to stay in Bayern long term. Maybe a loan move with a loan fee for him could work for all parties? We don't need Tel to replace Havertz in the starting lineup but we have to have someone to come off the bench to reduce Havertz's minutes. And who knows, maybe it'll turn into an Odegaard loan situation for us.
My frustration with this is obvious, yes Watkins makes sense in being a good fit for Arsenal right away, however in these circumstances it really didn’t make sense if Duran was going to Saudi as it was always going to be blocked by Villa. So again, this is on Arsenal and their poor lackadaisical approach in this transfer window, let’s not make excuses for them, they dither too much. And Tel to spurs isn’t a good example of the difficulties of transfers, there is a reason he probably doesn’t want to go there, they are a struggling outfit in the bottom half of the table… why would he wanna do that? That’s not the case with Arsenal, despite injuries they are not struggling in their positions. It now seems Arsenal made a bid that had about 1% chance of being successful. I’m not someone who advocates massively overpaying or anything like that, arsenal don’t do that historically so let’s not get it twisted, equally we are not a retirement home, and Arsenal have been in error of going for easy options like Sterling that thus far haven’t been good. There are now no excuses for the summer. Go and splash the money on the striker who you think will push the club forward. And if you have to pay a little more, pay a little more if it’s the one you want
If we were after Watkins we would have signed him by knowing. They had no plans to buy a striker .they are now panicking as the fans are turning. Get ready for a £35 mill striker nobody has heard of or nothing at all. Very very worrying. Kronkes have said no more money.
I will say with Watkins, if he misses this chance with Arsenal it wont happen again. if he wants to go maybe he should force his way out. Of course if I was a Villa fan Id be septic but this is life.
If Tel will consider a loan then it has to be done. Him or Vlahovic. No excuses. Gimenez who wasn’t good enough is off to Milan and Cherki to Dortmund. Both in the CL and we could end up facing Milan next! What’s happened to Jonathan David? There are lots moving in this window. Teams are strengthening and we aren’t even replacing our heavily depleted squad. Utter madness. Havertz will burn out very soon and then then what!?
I'd be fine with Vlahovic for now personally. Pretty reliable goal scorer and like you say, at a minimum we really do need a capaple rotation option to keep other guys from burning out.
My team for City Raya, Timber, Saliba, big Gabby, MLS, Odegaard, Partey, Rice, Nwaneri, Havertz, Martinelli. I really hope that before the game Arteta reminds the team of Haalands antics at the end of the previous game. Says look how he disrespected your team mates, so today make sure he doesn’t get a sniff of goal. Because i really think it might be a war We’ll definitely get chances, it’ll just be a matter of if we take them. COYG
I was hoping we would of spend 65 million for dušan vlahović early in the window and move on. We have no bench at the moment for that City game...why Arsenal why
Why do Arsenal pretend to sign players? Elites football clubs actually buy players without messing about It’s embarrassing the way Arsenal will try and do business -no ambition
Do you think Arsenal not having a figure like Edu with his contacts is a big reason we are unable to get those crucial transfers and signings we need at the moment??
I think Edu suddenly leaving in the first quarter of the season ( without giving notice? ) has had a major effect. Whoever is the temporary replacement for him appears incompetent and out of his depth. He probably lacks the negotiating skills and contacts of Edu. I think it was very strange for someone so high up in the hierarchy to suddenly quit. Usually very high, top level employees of companies give about 6 months notice before they depart. Edu was here one day and gone the next. I suspect some drama that we are unaware of happened to cause such a hasty departure.
Why is everyone acting like villa hasn't bought a striker even before dguran and Watkins transfer noise..doneyel malllen ...now thy are eyeing forwards like rashford, asensio and Felix ...I still think Watkins would be sold
Hi Charles 👋, I hope all is good 👋 👦 ☺️ 👍 🙏 😊.I am confident that Arsenal will sign a striker in the January transfer window 🪟. COYG to beat Manchester City God willing 🙌 🙏 👌. Have a great day Charles 😂. Arsenal rocks 🏆 🙏 🤲 🪨 🎸 😀.
Why don’t we do a loan swap with Bayern. We get Tel on loan and they get Zinny. Can be no obligation to buy on both, we could still pay Zinnys wages (higher) and Bayern continue to pay Tels (lower). It’s a win win
Bayern don't need a LB, they have Alfonso Davis, why would Zinny go to Bayern to sit on the bench, he can do that at Arsenal and why would Bayern swop a rising star in Tel for a falling star in Zinchenko, deal makes no sense
@reisssato902 That's a bit harsh on the world class and elite manager signing Zinchenko who let's not forget he only paid £35m for... Listen to Buju....
@@reisssato902 Who told you Bayern don't need a LB and how many millions is Arteta going lose if he ever offloads his 8th choice LB 35m signing Zinchenko?
@@SteveHarding-b4v 8th choice LB, you haven't seen the problems Arsenal have in defence with LB? we didn't expect to be playing Lewis-Skelly this season but we've had crazy injuries, stop trying to balance our team, we have professionals for that
@reisssato902 Artetas injury prone signings getting unsurprisingly injured Who saw that coming???? Clearly not you Tossi as you were too busy thinking up yet more excuses for failure. See you in August Listen to Buju....
Watkins doesn't score enough goals, if Arsenal want to win things they need a 25 goal a season striker and that is Sesko or Gykores, so unfortunately it's going to be next season for a top level striker
Charles, Arteta is already telling us we aren't getting anybody significant. I could tell you that at the beginning of the window which I did. I truly hope I am wrong, cause if I am not we have no hope to get any trophy this season. Not good enough. I love the effort we are putting every match and I will be backing us all the way, but we are extremely depleted and we will get screwed in the end.
@DJ_Dre.P good question. I think 3rd or 4th. However, due to lack of depth, Odegaard being below par and if we have bad luck, we could end up even lower and miss out on CL next season. Lots of teams, that normally are mid to low table, have had incredible raise in quality and results. Bournemouth and Forest are brilliant and we still have to play them. Newcastle is always a threat. City is gaining form again, Chelsea may be falling off somewhat, but cannot be ignored. Not looking great. I hope Saka and White come back sooner rather than later. We are walking a very thin line and we can fall anytime. Just my opinion. COYG!
I believe Victor Boniface is available for around 50m. I think if we slammed 50m on the table, Bayern Leverkusen might sell. He's only 24 and can deliver and develop further.
When we borrowed Neto I thought 'Great! A really experienced player. Someone who has played for pretty big teams...' Now....I couldn't believe the way he played against Gerona. He played like some kid straight out of an academy, like third choice goalkeeper at a small club. Let's hope Raya recovers quickly and that Arsenal try and get a decent backup goalkeeper. How many goalkeepers has Arteta bought so far? Five maybe? They should have canceled his loan , sent him packing back to where they found him and got a reliable goalkeeper. Then they could have loaned a forward...
Charles I’m sorry but as much as Edu and Arteta were lauded.. the summer was a failure and and top of that we have restricted ourselves with two loans.. should have got the Costa deal over the line.. plus had another plan for a striker which would have meant we were able to make use of loans at this stage.. #mess
Charles - I love your balanced coverage, but man I am running out of patience with the club. You are too kind. They have been lethargic in the extreme. Saka out weeks ago should have "spurred" action. But as far as we can see from here - they have done sweet f#$k all!
If they wanted Watkins they would've bid early in the window ,we won't buy anyone in this window Charles .wait until summer get Isak pay the money they want .
regardless of who we "could" have signed, we are not going to win the epl, that requires Mugsmashers to lose 3 games. Why blow our chances of a great signing in the summer, for a make weight now? next season is what it's about now.
It's getting to the point where we seem to be chasing implausible shadows rather than looking for strikers who could and would come and be available. We only have three forwards to fill three positions playing upwards of 23 games over the next 3 1/2 months. _So, what is Arteta's "BIG" plan if one of those three gets injured?_
38 days since Saka got injured, 19 days since Jesus confirmed to be out for the remainder of the season and Arsenal did not sign any attackers. Arsenal do have one day left but it's nearly impossible to sign anyone at this rate. Villa definitely won't let Watkins leave and they also bolstered their line with Rashford while Tel will likely join Man Utd. Utter failure and big mistake for Arsenal not doing anything till the Mancity and Newcastle game coming up. I hope we can win the City game and produce miracles in the Newcastle game. But, given that we haven't literally changed during the past months, it is hard to think that the result might change from the previous ones. Dubai trip is good and all but if we don't sign anyone and don't manage to get enough results in these two games things will start to get ugly between fans and clubs i am afraid.
Arsenal are at the level now where it’s so important for the right person. Just anybody in and then being stuck with them in the summer isn’t the plan. I believe the club will get something done, and I’m not sure if Watkins is absolutely done. Mochi citing PSR for Duran and still rumours they’re moving for 2/3 attackers. Feeling Grealish vibes
@ If they need to store the majority of that money for PSR like Mochi said I’m completely unsure how they can sanction 3 attackers with such a high wage bill to turnover?
I agree, these fans just want bodies in, they don't really care if he's quality or not, if we spend 60-70m on an average striker now, we won't get the big deal striker in the summer
@ yeah I agree. I honestly think Watkins, even as a long shot just allows you to kick the bucket down the road on Isak when his contract issue could actually be an issue. My problem is only on Sesko. If he’s the transfer we miss at 60-70m and then is worth double in 2 years
@reisssato902 But it was OK for our world class and elite manager to spend £65m on "world class" striker Havertz but just bad luck that he's desperate to replace him now though right? Listen to Buju....
..The need for a player is OBVIOUS 😂..Watkins at 29 would cost an arm and a leg .He's 29 ? 65-70+ million plus would that constituteca gold deal? This is the conundrum that Arsenal face . Personally I don't think Watkins is the right player ..
May God deliver AFC from the spirit of “attempt and fail!”. As I predicted at the beginning of the winter transfer window, Arsenal will end up bringing in no new striker. It’s only MA, the board and management that can’t see that it’s over for the club to even come second not to talk of winning the EPL. Tomorrow match against MC will prove me right or otherwise.
Facts are the owners have no ambition to win the league it is all about top four. To not sign a single attacker in this window is negligence. Just like the summer window they have doubled down and shown the fans what the real ambitions are. CL football. Problem for the owners is Arteta isn't here to just make up the numbers in the top four and eventually frustrations will come when he realises that as long as he gets top four these owners won't push. Worrying times ahead because to me this 'project' has 18 months left. Win nothing can't expect the likes of Saliba and Saka to stick around.
Are we really in for Tel? I see our name mentioned in regarding to Tel but it almost feels like that that is because everybody knows that we’re in the market for a striker so they presume we’re in for Tel. Do you have any information?
If we don’t ( we are not signing anyone ) it shows no future planning. With all the outgoings in the summer and injury prone players we need the following in the summer Goal keeper Right centre back Right back Defensive Midfielder Attacking midfielder Striker Also we need future players 6 players in the summer, not going to happen, therefore we will be short again
@ yes, but I can see Tierney, kiwior, zinchenko, Tomiyasu moving on, therefore Calafori/ miles - skelly/ Timber-LB Gabriel/ Calafori - LCB Saliba/ white/ Timber -RCB White/ Timber - RB Due to white and Timber covering many other positions , having another right back means we have enough cover
Hi Charles, you had stated previously we need at least 2 attacking players this window to give us a chance in the league & Europe, do you still think there is a possibility of bringing in 2 before the window closes? A striker is a priority, but I also believe we need another forward player, a striker along with Tel would be a very good business. Would you see it as a failure to only bring in one player? Keep up the great work!!
DONT FOLLOW HIS ADVICE, if you pop them in the microwave like he said you will set fire to your microwave, you have to wrap them as per the advice that comes with them. also they appear to work but then dont, my windscreen and glass roof was soaking even after 3 weeks with these in my car, also if you dont use the none slip mat like he didnt they will fly off the dashboard when you start driving
I think Tel is the player we have to go in for, regardless of who comes in for us there is going to be some kind of adjustment period needed. So it only makes sense to invest in a world class player who raises the bar or to get a world class prospect who can be moulded into a real game changer for us. We cant forget that Arteta has a real skill in developing young talent, especially wingers. In todays game young players are capable of making an impact, we've relied on Saka for the last couple of years, Barca have Yamal and Pedri, Madrid have all host of young talent that are proving they can perform.
Arsenal is not chasing any attainable strikers. Osimen, Gyokeres, Sesko, all available. We chasing Ollie, Isak, etc. all clearly not available. Dont care whether they put down money, and Ollie is not different from others strikers we can get, if not worse.
People! Stop being deluded! Arsenal were never in for anyone! Bidding for Watkins just 3 days before the window closed? You would think and ask why they waited until it was too late!
Thank you so much. Many Arsenal fans are deluded. The so called bidding was a PR to deceive the fans. Arsenal board are PR masters. They waited till a few days to the end of the transfer window, and also they were aware of Duran’s deal and quickly put in a bid for Watkins knowing that Aston Villa will not sell two of their players at this time. At the end of this window they will sell us the usual cliché, “we tried to sign some players but it’s difficult in January to get the right players”.
@cjceejay5261 you say to "appease" the fans? What fans have you seen who were "appeased" by this? In what world would a failed bid make a football fan happy? I've heard this insane idea a lot. I wish people would try to think for themselves..

The toxicity level at the Emirates will be 11/10 if we lose against City and the winning goal is scored by Omar Marmoush. I'm just saying.
What about Jonathan David?
He's been prolific, 6 months less on his contract
He's prolific in FRANCE!!.... SO WAS PEPE!...enough said
No signings @charleswattsAfcnews, and you think this is acceptable? The bid for Watkins is a joke, if your serious you put that bid in 4 weeks ago, or even last summer! Has edu leaving impacted the recruitment process that dramatically?
Love your Show, where is your Cat? 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Let’s go!
😂
If Tree Town didn't open and LK Metro didn't exist then maybe you wouldn't be struggling
Just saying....
How many points are Liverpool dropping at Bournemouth later today?
We were never buying anyone in this window, the lack of a permanent sporting director and the clubs love of money over trophies should have made us poor fans realise we’ve been taken for a ride 😢
Hey Charles 😃
My predicted 11: Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly, Odegaard, Partey, Rice, Martinelli, Havertz, Trossard.
Result: Arsenal 4 Man City 2.
How many points are Liverpool dropping at Bournemouth later today?
If we get well beaten tomorrow the reaction will be toxic from the fans because of the lack of activity in the window from Arsenal
Emery is holding Watkins hostage really! Blackmailing really. It’s like look what we did for you few years ago.
@@samuelloification2749they’re delusional

Smokescreen…
It is more likely for Villa to go out and buy another striker than Arsenal to buy anyone.
A four wheel drive player?
Do you mean a forward?

No wonder arsenal have failed to achieve great success,,,, trophy 🏆 never a priority for them any point ✅✅
I'm here
Sounds like Tel wants to stay in Bayern long term. Maybe a loan move with a loan fee for him could work for all parties? We don't need Tel to replace Havertz in the starting lineup but we have to have someone to come off the bench to reduce Havertz's minutes. And who knows, maybe it'll turn into an Odegaard loan situation for us.
Mathys not Matthias
Arsenal are now in a crisis.. KH29 goes down in any game .. basically it's academy players coming on to play games ..
Ridiculous really
Shame it seems trolls jump on the comments trying to aggravate people
Pretty pathetic some people have nothing better to do
What's a troll?
Ive got a terrible feeling Arteta is going to play not to lose rather than to win against City.
Would asking for Rashford on loan, be of any benefit? 😮
Hi mate I hope we sign good striker
Come on Cherries later.
What's your score prediction?
I will say with Watkins, if he misses this chance with Arsenal it wont happen again. if he wants to go maybe he should force his way out. Of course if I was a Villa fan Id be septic but this is life.
If Tell goes to United, could that open the door for Rashford to leave?
If Tel will consider a loan then it has to be done. Him or Vlahovic. No excuses. Gimenez who wasn’t good enough is off to Milan and Cherki to Dortmund. Both in the CL and we could end up facing Milan next! What’s happened to Jonathan David? There are lots moving in this window. Teams are strengthening and we aren’t even replacing our heavily depleted squad. Utter madness. Havertz will burn out very soon and then then what!?
Jonathan David is the one, but doesn't seem to be going to arse or anywhere for some reason! x
I'd be fine with Vlahovic for now personally. Pretty reliable goal scorer and like you say, at a minimum we really do need a capaple rotation option to keep other guys from burning out.
Havertz will burn out, and Saka will burn out again when he returns… It’s poor management by Arteta and the club
Tell looks clumsy to me and very raw just don't think he's the one for us.
My team for City
Raya, Timber, Saliba, big Gabby, MLS, Odegaard, Partey, Rice, Nwaneri, Havertz, Martinelli.
I really hope that before the game Arteta reminds the team of Haalands antics at the end of the previous game. Says look how he disrespected your team mates, so today make sure he doesn’t get a sniff of goal. Because i really think it might be a war
We’ll definitely get chances, it’ll just be a matter of if we take them. COYG
As an arsenal fan ,we were NEVER gone sign any player this window..no club waits untill 3 days to try somebody to win the league..
This is the arsenal
Exactly- pathetic ownership
We’re going backwards not forwards 🤷🏽♂️
I was hoping we would of spend 65 million for dušan vlahović early in the window and move on. We have no bench at the moment for that City game...why Arsenal why
Why do Arsenal pretend to sign players?
Elites football clubs actually buy players without messing about
It’s embarrassing the way Arsenal will try and do business -no ambition
Facts!
Do you think Arsenal not having a figure like Edu with his contacts is a big reason we are unable to get those crucial transfers and signings we need at the moment??
Rubbish. He was in charge for the failed summer transfer window. This mess is a legacy of his last 6 months in the job.
No I dint think so
@@mikewood6528.

Get Nico Williams in if the Watkins money isn’t used
Watkins doesn't score enough goals, if Arsenal want to win things they need a 25 goal a season striker and that is Sesko or Gykores, so unfortunately it's going to be next season for a top level striker
Odegaard cant have one of those games tomorrow....turning into traffic, missing gilt edged chances.
Confirmed by Hands of Ozil that we didn't even bid. It was just informal talks
Where do you reckon Arsenal finishes this season?
COYG!
@@remistuczynski2768 there’s a realistic answer, and I can agree with that. Todays win was massive however there’s still work to be done
@DJ_Dre.P you are spot on mate. Great win, we were really good, best performance this season. Like you said though, definitely work to be done. COYG!!
So you made this entire conclusion off Neto's very first game for Arsenal 😂
Why would Neto ever agree to cancel his loan? And why would Bournemouth agree to cancel the loan?

Charles I’m sorry but as much as Edu and Arteta were lauded.. the summer was a failure and and top of that we have restricted ourselves with two loans.. should have got the Costa deal over the line.. plus had another plan for a striker which would have meant we were able to make use of loans at this stage.. #mess
If Villa get Rashford on loan they might be tempted
Why did it take tll now to make a offer for Watkins, so late in the window
...because we were going after our first/second choice before him
@@kunimitsune177 Who told you that?
Charles - I love your balanced coverage, but man I am running out of patience with the club. You are too kind. They have been lethargic in the extreme. Saka out weeks ago should have "spurred" action. But as far as we can see from here - they have done sweet f#$k all!
If Arsenal don’t at least sign a top striker then top 4 is by no means a guarantee. 6 points ahead of 5th.
No plan B
We're all waiting for you to tell us....
One injury away from
38 days since Saka got injured, 19 days since Jesus confirmed to be out for the remainder of the season and Arsenal did not sign any attackers.
Agreed, it’s the missed opportunities and the mediocrity that divides this fanbase…

Can we get Thierry Henry for the rest of the season?
Forest demolished Brighton .
PSR is solved by selling Duran. Villa can buy players now without selling due to amortisation
Of course… This is Arsenal. It is part of the play book.
..The need for a player is OBVIOUS 😂..Watkins at 29 would cost an arm and a leg .He's 29 ? 65-70+ million plus would that constituteca gold deal?
This is the conundrum that Arsenal face .
Personally I don't think Watkins is the right player ..
We got this one wrong.. bid too late.. sat on our hands
First
Can’t arsenal recall Fabio Viera? No idea how he’s getting on with his loan spell but at least it’ll be another attacking option
This window has been a shambles. Gross negligence at the best.
Yep
Whoever is doing Edu's job is incompetent and out of his depth.
Not over yet, but so far it's looking that way...
With all the outgoings in the summer and injury prone players we need the following in the summer
Goal keeper
Right centre back
Right back
Defensive Midfielder
Attacking midfielder
Striker
Also we need future players
6 players in the summer, not going to happen, therefore we will be short again
-we have two first team RBs
-we literally don't play with attacking midfielders
@ yes, but I can see Tierney, kiwior, zinchenko, Tomiyasu moving on, therefore
Calafori/ miles - skelly/ Timber-LB
Gabriel/ Calafori - LCB
Saliba/ white/ Timber -RCB
White/ Timber - RB
Due to white and Timber covering many other positions , having another right back means we have enough cover
@@kunimitsune177 Who told you that and are you going to the City game today?
Hi Charles, you had stated previously we need at least 2 attacking players this window to give us a chance in the league & Europe, do you still think there is a possibility of bringing in 2 before the window closes? A striker is a priority, but I also believe we need another forward player, a striker along with Tel would be a very good business. Would you see it as a failure to only bring in one player? Keep up the great work!!
Villa are so ‘big’ they got roasted by Wolves yesterday

I think Tel is the player we have to go in for, regardless of who comes in for us there is going to be some kind of adjustment period needed. So it only makes sense to invest in a world class player who raises the bar or to get a world class prospect who can be moulded into a real game changer for us. We cant forget that Arteta has a real skill in developing young talent, especially wingers. In todays game young players are capable of making an impact, we've relied on Saka for the last couple of years, Barca have Yamal and Pedri, Madrid have all host of young talent that are proving they can perform.
How can other teams find players but we can't? Smh joke club
Arsenal love to pretend to try
@cjceejay5261 you say to "appease" the fans? What fans have you seen who were "appeased" by this? In what world would a failed bid make a football fan happy?
