you're welcome! i also do voice overs professionally and this mic is a great tool for it. it captures clean and crisp audio. it's not as loud as i want it to be, but it's fairly easy to amplify it using an audio editing tool - like audacity.

The sound pickup pattern for this microphone IS NOT from the end as shown. It is from the side, specifically from the side with the model number on it. Also, it is a condenser mic that requires a 48 volt power source to properly work. A smart phone does not supply this 48 volts. It will work without the 48 volts, but with much reduced quality.

Um cheap mics breaks very fast, I have a cheap 50$ mic like this and broke in a few months and you could hear was background noises and static.
