I have an idea for a Devotion Paladin. This is an odd idea. What if you are powered by Friendship?
Yes, your devotion to the party is what grants you these abilities.
Before you joined the party, you were just a regular schmoe without any magic.
However as you went on adventures and went through life-or-death situations, you started to exhibit magical abilities.
Your rapport with the party kept blossoming and your magical power continued to grow.
    Roleplay opportunities.
You don't have an oath as such. Just a strong affinity to the party.
However, if you are separated from the party for any reason, you lose all of your paladin features and spells (with the exception of extra attack). Your camaraderie and affinity for the party IS the source of all your power.
What do you make of this idea?

Honestly I like the idea of the Flock as a subclass, being able to spawn creatures to help and send them out like pokemon sounds cool, plus imaginenfor a druid the utility of having a flock of familiars doing stuff like cultivating a garden with them.

I really like the idea of Manifestation or Dualism. So much cool role play and story-concepts built into those!

i honestly feel like the whole loki and trickery vibe is better represented with something like an illusionist sorcerer, and all of the ways you can use the metamagic with it

I would love a better subclass of a spirits bard I feel like there enough mechanics to make a good few different flavors

A reflavor I have done of echo knight that might work even better for trickery cleric, was a character based around mirrors. Their duplicate would be a distorted mirror version of themselves. All radiant spells would be flavored with reflection, refraction and such and you do a lot of divination and communing through scrying mirrors. Bonus points if your deity is actually trapped in a mirror dimension, like a fairy tale or myth.

I want to see a tattoo cleric that lets you choose from a list of tattoos that give bonuses taken from other classes. Only a few useable each level, but lots of options.

Funnily enough this was one of my first characters, and I gotta say it's underrated, as I kept my entire party alive multiple times throughout a dungeon crawl.

I'm really partial to that dualism subclass, since that's a major concept in a lot of spiritual traditions that doesn't see a lot of focus in D&D

First off, I'm pretty sure this is my first video watched on this channel, as far as I can recall at the moment, I think I might have caught another video quite some time ago, but it's was so long ago that I can't even recall anything about that video.
Now, onto something else. I like the Echo, personally.
I actually came up with a campaign concept that is kind of flavored around time shenanigans. I call it the "Shadowed Time," I'm not confident in my abilities to run a game like this but I can at least give a summary so as to give anyone potentially interested the gist, the campaign basically revolves around temporal anomalies happen around the characters, who are all either Shadow or Time themed archetypes for each of the classes being played, or maybe someone is playing with temporally displaced background that imparts similar benefits to a subclass that is time themed. The idea with these subclasses in particular being used is that the characters with these subclasses have such a unique relationship with time that the temporal anomlies have little to no affect on them personally, or anything they are carrying at that moment, or anything mystically/magically tied to them individually. So, it's up the PCs to figure out what is causing these anomlies, and possibly worse, and find a way to fix things before time itself basically spirals out of control around them. And yes, if you want to use one of the Shadow or Time themed subclasses that are non-official, that's perfectly fine, as long as the one running the game has okay that non-official material.

My vote is The Flock. Though I have an idea. You could do a Legion Cleric, where they have an entire pantheon of gods they’re devoted to, gaining the right powers at the right time! This could also work for a Pact of Many warlock. (This could be reflavoured into your DID cleric, but be respectful of course.)

Yo have some really good ideas here, and they make it hard to choose just one. I’m picking Dualism, though. That has plenty of potential storylines.

The duplicate is described as the 'perfect' illusion... does this mean it can speak? I would think that in order to be the 'perfect' illusion it would have to be as indistinguishable as a 'mirror image' and cover sounds, smells, etc. like a 'major image.'
My vote is for the imaginary friend.
