Thanks! I just ordered one of these to help find air leaks in my old house. I like that it has a lanyard hole so I can keep it attached to me when crawling around in my attic. The problem with the phone attached IR devices is they can damage the port on your camera, or if you already have a damaged port like I do (I use a wireless charger) they don't work. Also, if you buy the cheapo chinese IR sensors, their software wants access to EVERYTHING on your phone. I try to keep my cell phone for phone calls and texting and the occasional web browsing. You don't need apps for 90% of what people use apps for.
Got it yesterday sadly it does like to screen freeze and “recalibrate ALOT! I wish there was a zoom out /in function you kinda have to stand pretty far back to get entire window in view on screen. Then again it’s $299 not $3k-5k like a pros one would cost. I could see it being useful for small jobs checking for leaks or hot spots on a circuit board or hot spots on automotive repairs etc
