I tested several of the Ping 2023 putters before purchasing the Ping Kushin 4 and I couldn't be happier with it as its possibly the best putter I have ever used, the head shape and alignment lines really suit my eye.
Was using a Ping Sedona , which was great when on form, but have just got a Wilson Staff Infinite Bucktown second hand from Golfbidder . Great weighting , forgiving and value for money .
I’ve used the Ping Craz-e for 15 years and have always felt confident with it. Every club in my bag is new this year except for my putter but you definitely got me thinking about checking out the new ping putters
I have been using a Cleveland classic putter and an odyssey white hot putter. Both putters performed well considering how long they have been out. Recently added a used Ping Kushin4 to the bag. Looking forward to warmer weather to give it a roll.
Nice video.I have had the ping sigma 2 tyne stealth in my bag for four years now. i do okay with it. I have tried many putters over the last ten years but nothing has replaced it. I have been coming up short left on putts lately. I think the new anser 2d is just what the doctor ordered. I think it looks awesome too. I am looking forward to trying it this year.
I've always been a pretty solid putter especially inside 6 feet. The past few months I really struggled. Bought a few new putters and had my old one Ive had for 3 years checked. It had bent to 6* of loft. Back to 2.5 and bam right back to making putts again. I use a Cameron T22 Newport.
Started using the BioMech Max. I can stand more upright and have less stress on my back when I practice putting. The elbow-length shaft keeps my hands out of the stroke. I'm putting straighter and have more confidence with long puts.
Earlier this year I was custom fit for an Odyssey Eleven, slant neck, 33 in., 62.5 deg. lie. on SAMPutt Lab at Club Champion. the WHite Hot face is awesome, love the soft feel. Before this i had an EvnRoll ER2 since 2017. Great putter too, sold on ebay.
Im sure these putters are great. But I am so consistent with my old Odyssey 2 Ball Blade, I still love using it and won't change. I replace the grip when needed and stick to a traditional grip.
Just bought the Anser 2D on review here. I've always played anser putters (cant get on with mallets) but I'm getting pretty old now and was attracted to this putter because of the tungsten weighting and graphite shaft which I imagine is lighter than steel making the head feel very stable for a blade. Also I find this easier to line up than my old Anser2 because of the wider sole. I like the all black look because you immediately focus straight away on the white alignment line. There is great feel off the insert bit like the Odyssey white hot inserts. The insert is not the full putter face length in order to accommodate the tungsten weights but you would almost have to hit it very near to the toe to miss the Insert. All in all if you like blades but need some more stability with more feel I can recommend giving this putter a try.
One of the reasons I bought the 2D is because it’s such a clean putter. When I was selecting my next putter, as soon as I picked this one up and addressed the ball, I knew it was the right one. With the all black look and even the weights, insert and shaft being black, the only thing you really focus on is the line and the ball. Normally I don’t use a plumbers neck putter, but this one felt so good I went ahead an bought it. Great putter. Didn’t even realize that Fenau uses the same one.
I went with the PLD Anser 2 in the brushed chrome. I think the head cover is absolutely stunning, but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The thing I think separates Ping from other putters is the elegance. I chose the PLD over the Scotty simply because the Ping didn’t have all the gaudy writing all over it when compared to the Scotty. Every angle, it just seemed the Scotty was going out of their way to scream this is a Scotty Cameron. The PLD line was stating it just the right amount imo. The milling on the face is beautiful, and it just seems to have a slightly softer face. I’ve only had it for a couple of months, but so far, I absolutely love it.
I've had a few Pings over thr years but I always go back to the Anser I got in, erm, 1989. The 2D does look good, though. Could be a contender. Great video!👍
I just went to a Tomcat 14, gotta say it is so forgiving and just feels and looks right behind the ball. I used a cadance with the insert, just too soft for me. This one has really improved my putts.
Literally just picked up a Ping Sigma 2 Tyne yesterday and these get released today! I'm still happy with my purchase though, I didn't like the feel of the 2021 Tyne and the insert on these just looks funky to me. However if push came to shove I'd definitely give the Anser 2D a roll out of this batch. Excellent video!
Bought a Ping Heppler ZB3 a few years ago. No insert just a smooth face and a unique feel on contact. I doubt these new putters offer a significant improvement if any. Looks like the current ZB3 style option would be the Kushin 4 so good to know Ping haven’t abandoned it.
Taylormade spider gt 🕷 My confidence has shot up since I put this putter in my bag, the balance/weight the feel hitting the ball and that consistent roll 💯 But am terrible for putters am like a magpie for golf😂 I’ll have more putters than irons soon🙈
I use an ancient brass Anser - it's got a slot right behind the face.. That new Anser looks really nice..hmm better try it. Those mallet headed things look hideous to me..
I presently use a Ping Sigma 2, Fetch putter. I love the putter and would buy an improvement of it any day.
Using an Isoforce Anser 2 at the moment, PP58 blackout grip.
I've just got a Ping Anser putter after using an Odyssey Rossie for 12 years
Just bought an anser 2d it’s excellent

Ping does make really good putter headcovers. Love the magnetic blade ones.
Bought the 2021 Ping anser 2 34in putter this year put the Super Stroke pistol grip 3.0 on it love this thing & it really helped my game ⛳
I have been using a Cleveland classic putter and an odyssey white hot putter. Both putters performed well considering how long they have been out. Recently added a used Ping Kushin4 to the bag. Looking forward to warmer weather to give it a roll.
When you have back issues you learn to love putters like the Fetch and the Tyne G.

Thanks Sophie, glad to see you. Thanks yet again for your wise review.

Recently got a PLD DS72 like yours Sophie
I purchased a Muzuno M Craft 4 putter that replaced my Ping Sigma 2…I really love the feeling of the Muzuno
gaming a vintage ping b60 copper with a winn midsize pistol grip. best putter i've ever had. (replaced a scotty california)
I've had a few Pings over thr years but I always go back to the Anser I got in, erm, 1989. The 2D does look good, though. Could be a contender. Great video!👍

Using a Ping Heppler and love it.
I have two Odyssey Rossi putters. The one in my bag performs so well the other one can't get a chance to get in.

Using The Wilson 8802 with original grip and it's just a thing of beauty. Always get some funny looks, but if you know, you know.
2022 TM Spider GT Slant Neck 33 inch
1st season with my Sigma 2 fetch that replaces my anser 2 iWi Wich I had for 13 years
Have the same putter.
Love the classic grips. At least they aren’t copying anyone else’s designs.
Love the review and not bad either to look at
I have the PLD answer and it is as good as any Cameron, I love it Soph!
Looks like the putter with the hole in the back is ping version of the 2 ball that was super popular but just with one ball instead
novice question.......do the expensive putters generally come with the head cover or do you buy them separately ?
I favor Odyssey putters....I have a Rossie that works really well for my stroke.
Using a 18 yr old Odyssey White Hot #7 with fat claw grip.
I love the Tyne G. When your mates are rushing you to finish up, you can pick up the ball with ease with that hole. It’s there to pickup balls…
Taylormade spider gt 🕷
My confidence has shot up since I put this putter in my bag, the balance/weight the feel hitting the ball and that consistent roll 💯
But am terrible for putters am like a magpie for golf😂 I’ll have more putters than irons soon🙈
Just grabbed an Anser 2D
Im still using my 40 yr old Ping Anser ⛳️
Dont lose it😉
1976 Anser normally, but switch to 1975 Ray Cook on super-fast greens.
Odyssey Stroke Lab Black Bird Of Prey Putter 35" Mens RH
The original Odyssey White Hot 2-Ball Putter 2001 :)
always found ping putters to be heavy, and no weight adjustment. especially on adjustable length putters seems really odd.
How about a mic down low so we could hear them? Just a thought.
I use an ancient brass Anser - it's got a slot right behind the face.. That new Anser looks really nice..hmm better try it. Those mallet headed things look hideous to me..
Odyssey all the way ❤
T22 Newport 2
I disagree. The hole in the back looks cool lol
It's a good alignment aid, like a two ball
not a fan of black putter headcovers - can never find them when i go back to my bag after putting out!
Rife blade 2022
Sod the putters, when are the new woods out?
Go get a G425. The new ones won’t be any better (regardless of what Ping or the media say) but will be dearer and probably not as good looking. 👍
Bettinardi without question
Using PING 2021 FETCH
Golf equipment is now like a fashion item, constantly changing and always the same
Need. A. Tess. Ping… Please….
Tiger Woods does not use that grip.
Too bleeding expensive, but players should get fitted for a putter.
Ping crowing about PLD then they released these?is this just to cater to the hackers .
Sorry to disagree but it's not the putter, it's the person on the other end.
Putters are getting so ugly, it would distract me... The anser 2 d looks ok
As always, and excellent review. For me, I use a 34" EVNROLL ER11vx and a 40" EVNROLL ER11vx Midlock for putting duties. :)
