And Indiana Jones around 0:47. The composers were definitely wearing their influences on their sleeves here - it might even give FFXII a run for its money (and that’s saying a *lot* ;-) )
I adore this music. What a great orchestration. It truly takes the mind and imagination to flight. You can picture the clouds and derp blue sky, you can feel the breeze as you peer down at all the little houses and villages. Truly magical.
A boy and his bird.. I love that so much. How Link even knew his bird was in danger before finding it because he could sense it. Also, i fly endlessly just to hear this song. It's awesome.
I started playing the HD remake on the switch, and I absolutely love the game. It definitely has it's problems (what game doesn't?), but I have to say that this is one of the most unique and charming Zelda games I've played. The characters are fun and likeable (looking at you Groose, you legend), the story is very interesting and brings something new, and of course the music is beautiful; I honestly think SS has some of the best music in the franchise
Biggest disappointment from TOTK imo was not focusing enough on the sky levels I would've loved to see gameplay more similar to skyward sword, flying around on a mechanical loftwing. Or maybe even a real loftwing
my flights stopped around 22 seconds pretty often and everytime the music stopped at that section, i continued humming... the star wars theme. cus they are pretty similar there.
Technically, they live in Hyrule. Skyloft and its surrounding islands are all just pieces of Hyrule that Hylia rose into the sky. Therefore, they live, not necessarily in, but on Hyrule.
I completely agree. I can't really get the same experience I get with pretty much any Ninetendo game with anything non-Nintendo. (With a few exceptions in-between.) Nearly all of their games are perfect in my opinion.
Darn straight. That and their attention to story/characterization makes Nintendo at least on par with Sony and Microsoft's admittedly superior graphics. To people like me who like to explore and who like to absorb themselves in a story...Nintendo's better.
the music is great, but it just isn't as memorable :\. I guess its okay, because the in-the-moment feeling is much better. But gone are the days where music in a Zelda game actually felt like part of the gameplay.
@TheUniverseExists yeah like Oot, MM, WW, and TP. The music in these games made u feel like u were apart of it. SS is more in the moment sort of music, not memorable music. Booooo. :P
Just playing this game, and my dad comes in, hears the music, and says "This sounds like Star Wars...". That makes sense, I guess.
In the lanayru desert is a part that really sounds like a star wars song
And Indiana Jones around 0:47. The composers were definitely wearing their influences on their sleeves here - it might even give FFXII a run for its money (and that’s saying a *lot* ;-) )

Gives slight goosebumps sometimes
@@Barkity True.

Hai warriors fan! :DD
Katie Celena Haaaiii!
Caitlyn Coble Do you roleplay warriors? Like, on forums?
If so, I have a couple to recommend you. :3
Okay, this has gotta be heavily inspired by John Williams’ stuff. 0:47 in particular immediately makes me think of the Raiders’ March.
Hey look, I found another ancient comment section! They aren't extinct yet poeple! :D
+ErikkOu
Google+ comment section for me m8
Erik Oussoren lol hi
And now this post is 6 years old… 😆
Heck naw it ain't
Your comment is ancient as well

This theme reminds me of Star Wars, the orchestration is just so epic!
This song feels so....majestic...
Thumbs up if you think The Legend Of Zelda has the best music ever created for a video game!
Sometimes I take a pause on the story and go flying on the Loftwing just to hear this song. I love it so much.
This song plays in my head when I'm in the sky in TOTK... anyone else?
You’re not alone xD
Yo también la escuche en TOTK :)
Biggest disappointment from TOTK imo was not focusing enough on the sky levels
I would've loved to see gameplay more similar to skyward sword, flying around on a mechanical loftwing. Or maybe even a real loftwing
They absolutely had to remake this song for TotK m kinda missed opp
This music is so fricking gorgeous! I feel I wanna cry because of how good it is
Mommy, this song makes me fly
:D
This is my favorite peice of music in the entire game!
This theme seems to lead me to an epic adventure....:)
The Legend of Zelda and Pokemon are games that ALWAYS have epic music in it ^.^
So true! This theme is amazing... it's hard to not get lost in the music listening to it!
Beginning sounds like Indiana Jones lol. It made me think that an epic adventure awaited me even more!
Oh my god I LOVE this music !!! Thanks !
Say what you will about the gameplay, but it was so hype to hear Mario Galaxy-caliber music being made for the Zelda franchise
while i may not like this song in particular, the fact that it is associated with flying just makes it better
It sounds like an epic adventure theme, some parts reminds me a music in LoD the game ^^
I like to imagine how to train your dragon music when flying my loftwing
2:48 Anyone hear the music that plays when you have an advantage over a boss in Twilight Princess? ;P
Gods I love this song...
Best song in the game right here
instead of playing the game, im just gonna end up sitting in every new area for an hour listening to the music
Best zelda game (tied with totk) and its not even close. this game gets too much hate
My favorite tune by far.
It IS the beginning of one that lasts many lifetimes....
@kfirzi I believe it's tied with Kirby, and maybe Blazblue. Still, they're all leagues above any other video game's music.
my flights stopped around 22 seconds pretty often and everytime the music stopped at that section, i continued humming... the star wars theme. cus they are pretty similar there.
Is it just me, or does 00:20 sound exactly like the theme from Star Trek TNG?
I had to think of back to the future when hearing it
Shoot. I was kinda hoping for an all out remix of the Great Sea theme. Oh well, this is still extremely awesome.
For some reason this music reminds me of the credits music to a Disney movie. No idea why.
I'd say Nintendo makes the best music for video games.
it sounds like a combination with super mario galaxy, paper mario and star fox assault :D
Who here always hums the part fron 0:20 to 0:28 ?
Technically, they live in Hyrule. Skyloft and its surrounding islands are all just pieces of Hyrule that Hylia rose into the sky. Therefore, they live, not necessarily in, but on Hyrule.
Okami is the best music direction, Zelda it is the best music created for a video game.
I literally laughed out loud.
What are you talking about? Zelda has the best music EVER. In anything.
I completely agree. I can't really get the same experience I get with pretty much any Ninetendo game with anything non-Nintendo. (With a few exceptions in-between.) Nearly all of their games are perfect in my opinion.
Top five certainly, but the only video game soundtrack (the entire soundtrack) that I know of that has been nominated for a Grammy award is Journey's.
I like this song
2024 ?
Some Part of it's remind me of Super Mario Galaxy 2
@Sharpclawasaurus yes! by god yes xD that's epic
Gusty Garden Galaxy much?
Darn straight. That and their attention to story/characterization makes Nintendo at least on par with Sony and Microsoft's admittedly superior graphics. To people like me who like to explore and who like to absorb themselves in a story...Nintendo's better.
@Kissenkopf It is an epic adventure.....:)
Beautifuckingful, breahttaking...
I Love This!!
@Farvan893 This does sound a lot like Starfox themes on Cornaria (Both games made by nintendo!)
Pewds should play this game
It's like the Superman theme, except more relaxing in a way.
@kfirzi Mario galaxy did have some awsome music... not too too sure.
No, Okami is the god of video game music. (unintentional pun)
Why doesn't anyone COVER THIS?!
people would run around the plane pretending to fly on a big bird... :O and then jump out to fly
Sounds like the old defunct Columbia TriStar Pictures fanfare
@kfirzi truer words were never spoken
@Paxton1031 Exactly, that's what I think.
Someone do a piano cover of this song now!!
the music is great, but it just isn't as memorable :\. I guess its okay, because the in-the-moment feeling is much better. But gone are the days where music in a Zelda game actually felt like part of the gameplay.
Very Star Treky
Anyone here in 2023?
Arcane adventures
it truly was an arcane adventure
0:20-0:33-0:43-1:11-1:16-1:27
0:27
@superluigilink I wanted to name my crimson loftwing Epona
1:18 PETER PAN!?!?!
To me it sounds like Kirby air ride lol
Thumbs up if you think American Airlines should play this song during their flights
@Paxton1031 There's a reason for that. ;P
@seismictoss6 ok... person I might have accidentally offended with my previous joke.... o_o
:D
@kfirzi I'll leave a comment instead... thumbs ups are too mainstream.
Sounds kinda like Super Mario Galaxy music
@kfirzi Nah, it's great, but that would be Chrono Cross.
Sounds so much like One Piece & Hunter X Hunter
@jcg1227 Nope. Great Sea theme is still better. This is pretty nice though.
@TheUniverseExists yeah like Oot, MM, WW, and TP. The music in these games made u feel like u were apart of it. SS is more in the moment sort of music, not memorable music. Booooo. :P
+Siphano x)
+Siphano Si le "+" marche pas je désespère
Its ok I guess but not as epic as Great Sea
Somehow I can't find any love for this song. 99% of the games' soundtrack is downright amazing but I can't stand this song for some reason. =/
