Nice to see a 67 WITHOUT the Eleanor treatment 👍
Thanks!
I TOTALLY agree! I personally think all the fiberglass stuff on the Eleanor cars looks gaudy.
@@danmyers9372 especially when it comes to the front end
Agreed but the shitty rear spoiler ruins it
I concur
love it,to many guys go overboard modding it, brakes and suspension feel like the only mods these cars need
well said
THIS... is a perfect retromod. Kept all that makes it a Mustang and enhanced it to an almost daily driver. Nice work. Great balance.
i think its in the sweet spot too
They just don’t get much prettier than a 67’ fastback, I’ve been dreaming about one since high school 80’-84’ so yeh, it’s been a long chase. But dammit, what a machine to own and cherish, I want one so bad it literally hurts. 👍🇺🇸
Dude is driving it barefoot! BAAAA HA HA HA HA!!!! THAT'S AWESOME!!!!! Right on, brother!
yep, you get the feel that is impossible with shoes
@@QualityClassics I'll take up this thread again: driving barefoot is the best way to have a total feeling with the car. Driving barefoot is my way of driving, not only when I wear flip-flops (which can slip or get stuck between the pedals), but I often do it even when I wear shoes, which with their soles prevent me from having sensitivity on the pedals . It is an individual choice, and it is a personal feeling I realize, and some people may disagree, but in this case I say to try. Often times, what seems strange turns out to be a pleasant surprise.
Love these guys....kind of the Mr. Rogers of Mustangs!
Mr. Rodgers is COOL
drinking game: one shot for every "original DNA", "wild side", and "mild restomod"
LOL
Beautifully balanced mods. Hats off.
cool, thank you
what a beauty !!! she is perfect
i love her
i love 1967 mustang since i'm young, i'm 45 years old and still in love
i'm french, sorry if my english is not good
Super legendäre Schubkarre und ich mag es sehr genau dieses Modell Mustang und wie immer wie Bro für Super öl Auto
I like the steering wheel too. Can't tell if it's wood or not, I like the lighter finished wood but I like that yours doesn't stick out in the middle as far as other wooden wheels or similar style wheels. The radio update is wonderful. Nice system in it so you can jam out. Very cool.
thanks Eric, wheel is rubber....good grip
I have an original 66 Mustang that came with a 302 and it's a great engine
It's not all original then they didn't have 302s yet in 65-66
He’s my dream
Well done. Very understated and tasteful.
Thank you kindly!
Beautiful collection of mustang , 👍🏻
Great video!! That's my dream car. It is my dream car since i was 15 years old, now I'm 23 and it have been 1 year since i came in usa and i'm working very hard and i hope i can afford one one day. 😊
I hope you get your dream car! Keep up the hard work and you will succeed!
hope you have a work visa.... lolol
Oh man....some day I'll own something like this.
Oh yeah and the air conditioning too is nice. I dig the Birks too, I've been wearing those for over 20 years.
Yea, in Texas it is my nearly year round attire
Love the look love the car. Love it all around. I have an original 1967 GTA Wimbledon White with Tu-tone saddle interior 63B, fully optioned including the convenience package with the four lights on the console. A/C and tilt wheel. It has the original am/fm radio but the fm doesn’t work anymore. Where can convert and have the radio fixed and update to iPod compatibly. Thank you. Nice Acapulco Blue and very beautiful car. Awesome sound too. 😎
Thanks man! I recommend "South Texas Antique Electronics" for the radio mods. Tell them MyRod.com sent you.
Wow man, love it
I like all mods but kept it old school. Love 302 plus all the other goodies. I wouldn't change anything on that car. It's perfect. Great job
Thanks!
I used to have a 68 gt fastback 30 some years ago and had to sell it. I would love to do the same thing like you did but with Coyote Power in it
MY DREAM CAR!!!!
Sounds & Pulls Like the 302 Shelby Mtr.That Came in 68 GT350, 250 h.p.+ Whatever the Upgraded Exhaust Adds.NICE RESTOMOD That AnyOne Would Be Proud to Own.
thanks Ed
A very intelligent presentation as always, and yes, mild is definitely better.
Thank you very much!
What’s cool today is that the market has adjusted such that a well done restomod can now often increase the value (in most cases) vs lowering it. You can have your cake (better driving, performing and safer car) and eat it too (no huge loss in value). If you can find a purchase a restomod that someone else has paid to build all the better.
Exactly
By the way, love the build! A beautiful car and a well thought out build!
Thanks!
perfect!!! my dream car!!
It really is a dream machine Pablo
O muscle car mais bonito de todos.
My dream car.. And you could eat off that garage floor
Brilliant car!
thank you Fernando
Drop a warmed up 302, disk brakes all the way around, and Rack and Pinion steering. Boom!
works for me
Same color scheme as mine but I have a C4 trans, 9" traction lock and a 351C, and only the scoops on the bottom functional to the rear brakes. I wish I had put in the A/C and I love the polished metal dash panels.
cool
Great Video ! Nice to see you have a resotomod car in stock. I'm doing a 68 Fastback Restomod very similar spec to this. coil over suspension, 302, T5 , four wheel disc brakes etc .
What IRS kit was used to mount the 2001 ? Has the car for rack and pinion steering ?
Awesome! That sounds like it's gonna be a great car. Thanks for the comment.
The IRS was a custom install (no kit was used). And no the car doesn't have rack and pinion.
MyRod.com how's the car feel over the red stock Fastback ? Does it feel modern ?
Finally an original and not just another Eleanor replica
glad you liked it Kory
I would like to know more about the tires and wheels , very nice fit .
Needs a 427 side oiler to complete a sweet package.
oh yea .... that would be the one
Very well done
thank you
Wasn't the IRS in the Cobra started In 2003 when they supercharged the cobra?
Nice 67 Mustang Resto-Mod, but I was wondering did you use the Install kit from Dave Stribling Restorations to install the 91 Cobra IRS into your 67 Mustang?...Thanks and God Bless!
David J. Smith that kit is like 3 k
Wanting to do something similar in mine, just starting my research into modern irs fitment into the 67. You find out any information about the kit used or any other pointers on the install? If you can spare a minute send to send em my way. I'd be stoked.
@@Ki777UMiNATii did you ever get around to doing your own installment without buying a kit. I am starting to look for inspiration. Thanks
@@cwguillotte theres a dude Dalamar fabricating the irs to a 67 on the n95 forum i found which could be beneficial to check out but his build is incomplete and yeeears in the works but it is a roller *"Dalamars 67 fastback build"* Honestly seems pretty cut n dry. Bolt ons will hit your check book but with simple fabrication and welding experience it doesn't seem too difficult. Might give it a look. 👍
would still prefer those long shelby taillights
this set up really grew on me
No shoes while driving???
Was thinking the same thing. the heck is up with that
@Josh D looks like you're blind.
I went to your website but cannot find any information about the car on it?
Sorry, it's not posted yet! It will be soon, thanks!
MyRod.com No need to apologize, just wanted to see more info on such a beautiful car. Have a good evening.
Who did you send the radio out too? Want to make my original bluetooth ready.
Too much music in the video, can't hear the car!!!
you got a point
Ford can easily start selling these again.
It just wouldn't be the same
so true
Ford designed an IRS for the 65 mustang, but never installed it
"RESTO MOD"........."RESTO MOD"........ ***DRIVES WITH BARE FEET***......."RESTO MOD"
Not so sure about your comment that 67-68’s are “by far the most popular” to restomod. That might have been the case 5+ years ago due to the Eleanor craze (which is dying out thank God). I believe the 69-70 Sports roofs might be as, if not more popular as s restomod platform. JMO. By the way I also prefer a much milder restomod. One that still looks mostly original but with modern mechanicals.
interesting ... could be true, they certainly are cheaper
are you filming this via indoor drone?
yes
We're the tail lights always that way? I'm guessing no, but looks interesting.
yes factory tail lights ... its the deck lid spoiler treatment that was added
What's the music?
no ac?
Could you recommend a good place to get a irs system
Salvage yards
where are the seat belts? my dads '68 had them, why doesn't this car have them ?
This car has seat belts.
Where can I buy a car exactly like this 1967 mustang fastback?
all of these cars are different .... but you can probably get close
Where’s mine?
How far out do the exhaust tips extend from the sheet metal?
Good question. Too late to measure it now, I sold the car.
These cars where to have a $50 RIS option but they thought it was too much money.
that's interesting
Should of put a 5.0 coyote swap
Isaac Carranza Coyote is the only way to go:)
that would be NEXT LEVEL for sure
The positive camber at the front really bugs me... one goes thru the trouble of adding IRS, but can’t be bothered with a proper alignment at front? Or adding wheels that aren’t a takeoff from a modern mustang? Such a nice car, but those shortcomings kill me. I guess the wheels are forgivable, because it doesn’t really affect function. The other stuff? 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
What do you have to do to get one?
go to my site MyRod.com and ADD your e-mail where it says GET INVENTORY UPDATEs
"The perfect restomod"? For me, '67 GT Sport roof...This same color blue with the metal flake, no stripes with Shelby spoiler & quarter extensions, side body scoops and hood with stock '67 GT grill with the driving lights, dual Bullitt chrome rear outside mirrors with "deluxe" white or light blue or light tan interior, folding rear seat, stock tilt steering wheel with chrome Magnum 500 or Shelby style wheels & B F Goodrich 3/8" radial redlines with no Shelby emblems on the car at all with a built 390 or 428 SCJ, 5-speed manual, power brakes, steering & A/C with factory style heavy duty suspension with correct chrome exhaust tips would sum it all up for me.
makes sense to me
@@QualityClassics I forgot the gorgeous Shelby taillights and gas cap!
How is this garage even possible?
focus, lots of focus
it really bothers me that he's driving bare foot -_-
try it
i'll take it ; how much ?
sooollldddd already
bros bare foot
wear some shoes while driving dude
He doesn't want to hurt the carpet hahaha I'm sure he keeps it to sell it for a ton of money... Ohh speculators...
ok
Color name?
This Color looks like a color that came on the 67 Shelbys called "Dark Blue" code: #2/Ford code M1903...Also just so you know the other Ford factory Blue colors that look similar depending how the sun light hits the color were: Nightmist Blue code K/Ford code M1903 and Acapulco Blue code D/Ford code M3077!...So I Hope that Helps!...God Bless!
Thanks.
To my educated eye this color looks right between 67's Nightmist and Acapulco blue, and is likely a modern color like 2007 Mustang Vista blue. Cheers.
Hey guys, yes this is a modern color... I'll post the exact code soon.
When he said the “E” word, I cringed
sooooo true
The wheels look ghetto. Please return to the stock magnum rims. Thank you.
It's not even close to the first ford with an IRS
First MUSTANG with IRS
All that money just to get smoked by a V6 Challenger? Pass.
A V6 Challenger will smoke a $20 million Ferrari 250 California too. Too bad its such an awful boring car and you can see dozens of them parked in front of every Walmart in America.
Barefooted driver 👍😎
