Best of Cape Cod with Kids For an East Coast Road Trip

Cape Cod is the first stop in our month-long trip exploring the East Coast of the United States! We took our camper from Illinois all the way to Cape Cod and to to Acadia National Park with stops all along the way. And today's video is all about the perfect day trip to Cape Cod if you're staying close to Plymouth, which is where we camped for our first few days.
Cape Cod is a wonderful destination for you and your kids, particularly if you and/or your kids enjoy beaches, history, and food. Here's where we went:
Marconi Beach
Nauset Lighthouse
Captain Frosty's Fish and Chips
Plymouth Rock
We won't go too much on detail in here (since we want you to watch!) but the beach was one of the nicest we've seen. Now, you can argue about how terribly cold the water was, but that's beside the point. Next up was Nauset Lighthouse for a quick photo-op followed by Captain Frosty's for some INCREDIBLE food. And then we topped the day off by seeing where the pilgrims "landed" and talk a bit about Thanksgiving!

Next visit...stop at WEST DENNIS Beach
It is on the Nantucket sound where the water is warmer and calmer. West Dennis is very close to Hyannis where there is SPANKY'S on the harbor.

Looks like such a lovely park, love the beach! $25 isn't bad at all. I follow the shark app too, crazy that there were 8 in the area there! Its definitely their home and not ours haha. That is a great photo op at the light house! My husband would totally be chowing down on the cheez-its before supper too LOL! Nothing better than clam chowder, YUM! There really is nothing better than fried seafood though - YUM! So cool you went to Plymouth too. Great video, thanks so much for bringing us along! :)

That beach looks like something out of the movie Jaws (first beach) wow kids are getting bigger…can’t wait to see more of New England with you guys!!

Any of the beaches on the national seashore are nice but not for kids. The ocean water is too cold and the waves and undercurrent can be dangerous. The beaches of Nantucket Sound are calmer and warmer. For a lighthouse view go to Chatham.
