If you haven't already, please don't forget to subscribe and hit the like button. Lincoln's goal is to reach 1 million subscribers so he can get some gold teeth and a miniature donkey.
Patron Silver is my favorite. I made up a drink I call "Tamarita" using it, Patron Citronge, Po Pomegranete soda, and lime juice. Over ice. No salt or sugar on rim. I also made up one called "Suegrita", or 'Little Mother in Law'. It's basically a virgin margarita and a Valium. 😅
Yes please to all the pets' backstories! And more everyday cooking please, so I can live even more vicariously than I already am. Glad Lincoln and Pickles are feeling better.
You two seem like a source of endless entertainment for the cats. Well done, because it is very important (and you duty) to provide your cats with life enrichment.
Amanda, another great video! They keep getting better and better! If they gave out « Oscars » for the best youtube videos, you would be the winner for best content, best humour, best cinematography and best music! Like everyone, I’m glad Pickle has recovered. And a big « yes » to having you tell us the backstory of all of your animals. Thank you for taking us along to Paris and giving us such great footage (the Seine, the Eiffel tower, the copper bathtub! 😌 ). And may we hope that, in the future, once the kitchen of your dreams has been set up, you will consider making « cooking » videos? In your own time of course. You have so much more on your plate right now (pun intended 😊). Greetings from Ottawa, Canada, where daffodils have yet to come out of dormancy. At least, the snow has melted and it’s a balmy -2C this afternoon.
As a psychologist I found your choice of the word normal family interesting. I’ve watched you for quite a while, and you present as an open, honest, and caring person. Both you and your husband seem to be among the least affected château owners I have observed in addition, you don’t seem to be obsessed about decoration or feathering your nest. I appreciate you keep your children out of the limelight. Everything that is going on about the negative impact of iPhones and public media on children, definitely would support your doing so. I hope you continue to enjoy your life in château world. It is a massive undertaking in regards to sweat equity. It can also be a money pit. Try to enjoy as much as you can without getting caught up in château rapture.
Hi Amanda, Lincoln, dogs cats and invisible kids, I have the same ivy on the mock-Tudor house I've owned for 40+ years. Why are you *buying* it??? Pull off a long strand/vine and bury it about 1/2 inch under dirt along wherever you want it to grow. The suckers that hold the ivy to the wall will root. If you are really fancy, lay it on the ground and peg it down with hairpins. In a few months it will root and start growing wherever it touches dirt. As you say, won't hurt the masonry. HOWEVER!!! Those big roots can push into your foundations. It's good to take out the big, thick roots every five years or so. I'd 😍😍😍😍 to hear the life stories of your fabulous beasties.
Amanda and Lincoln, how lucky your animals to be living their lives in a Chateau, with lots of land, and a loving couple who really cares for them! Well done! I hope you had a nice slumber after your drink!
I love that you had to qualify in the intro "We are totally normal". Love your humor. And your storytelling just gets better and better. Great job! BTW, i have only 3 cats but i know how you feel. They bring me so much joy and laughter. Would love to hear each pet's story.
"Window kitties" are my favorite segment of your videos! That, and Guava digging her "head holes". When I see Waffle, I always think of the Phantom of the Opera. I will be the first in line for the screening of your video: "Who Do You Think You Are? - The Critter Addition" YES YES YES
I enjoy seeing Paris, So refreshing to see young people reading. Please do a video on all your pets. They are such an important part of your lives and it would be interesting to watch their stories.
Yes! Pet stories ❤. I loved everything about this video! Paris, weather, gardening, pets, concert and marg’s🎉. Except the jalapeños 😅. Glad Lincoln is feeling better. Nothing quite as dramatic as an ill husband. 😂
“I fell asleep” definition of adulting! 😂😂😂 Pets’ stories? Donkies? Yes, please! Thanks for all the laughs! Forgot to mention: We LOVED your margarita! Can you please give us more recipes? Thanks. 😊 ❤
I LOL so many times watching your videos! Please do tell animal stories. I really enjoyed the margarita segment. That was fun! Hope Lincoln starts feeling better.
I warned my customers from Michigan to bring coats for their SF tour and they laughed saying "we know cold". They were not laughing on the tour 😂 I would love to hear about your rescue babies. Yum you can't go wrong with Patron 🎉
Both your dogs are so sweet. ❤️ 🐕 I love how Enzo sticks with you when you’re working outside, Amanda. You can tell he loves being with you. Thank you for the spicy margarita recipe! Yum! 😋
Amanda, the new creepers you have planted will definitely balance out what you have already have planted, good job! We are also glad that our Lincoln is well and back into the never ending grounds and maintenance works. The Chateau is looking good, take care thanks for allowing us to be part of yourjourneys, god bless, give the dogs, cats and the beloved Donkeys all a kiss for us 😇🙏🏰🇫🇷
Yes, please share the back stories of your animals! ❤ Long ago, I was picking strawberries and it started snowing. Another time, the sky turned bright orange and it was thundering but no rain. Mother Nature can be quite contrary. I love spring and I can’t wait for actual spring weather! Great video 😃
We LOVE LOVE your channel! i tell everyone i know to watch. Thank you again for explaining the Boston Ivy for the nay say-ers! Animal videos, YES PLEASE! we love to here about their happy lives!
So glad the undertaker was cancelled & the added bonus of no queue for the loo at the band venue, makes for perfection. Life stories of the mogs & dogs sounds great.☺️
Hi Amanda, so glad Lincoln and Pickle are feeling better. Thank You for taking us to Paris with you. I don't fly, so I Love it when you take us with you so we can see France!!! The spicy Margarita sounds Yummy!!! Thanks for sharing. Definitely going to make one or a pitcher full!!!
First, yes, 100% it would be great to have a video that is solely about the chateau animals! Enzo is arguably the top 3-legged dog in the RUclips chateau genre. Your life in rural France is sort of like We Bought a Zoo - France version. (I suppose Matt Damon is Lincoln and ScarJo is Amanda in this particular analogy.) Thanks for the wonderful Paris content as well, glad you had a fun time at the concert. And that copper bathtub, wow, that definitely needs to end up in your cottage DIY project before it can be considered complete!
Yum that spicy Margarita looks delish 🎉 Glad to hear Lincoln is feeling better. Yes to a history of the four-legged family friends, luv seeing them! Always fun to see you guys❤ Happy Spring! Happy Easter! 🐇 Thanks for sharing!!
We also have a Formosan Mountain Dog named Gia from Taiwan. We have had her about 4 years and love her. She has a little miniature schnauzer in her, but mostly Formosan. We did her DNA and were amazed. Like your Dog, ours is a hunter which means our mole problem has improved, but yesterday morning she ripped open 5 bags of concrete we had stored in our green house. I assume to get a rat. The rains we have had the past two years (Los Angeles...fellow Californian) the rat population has exploded. The only time we have regretted her nature was when she tried to intimidate a skunk.. and then ran gleefully into the house to share her adventure with us. Yesterdays concrete incident was annoying but not as deadly as filling the house with skunk. I love your videos, and especially your sense of humor.! Nice to know another Formosan parent.
You are doing such a good job on the production of your videos!! Thank you for the "cooking" segment! I love that you are making memories with your daughters! Time goes by too quickly. A video about all of your pets would be nice!! The weather where I live is always a surprise We had temps of 60/70 and last night it was 14 and snowy again. Oh well, spring will get here! I hope that you have a great week, and everyone stays healthy!!
Amanda, keep in mind for next time, that while it is too far from the open car to the back door to get rain jackets, it is not too far from the open car to the back door to get coffee. A philosophy to live by when Brittany weather is being recalcitrant.
A video of all the animals would be great! We love all your kitties, pups and of course the donkeys. They are part of your family and we love seeing them happy and healthy.
Yes on sharing animal histories. Thank you for sharing the sounds and sights of Paris again And thank you for doing the recipe thing Looking forward to you having the kitchen of your dreams
"It's in the center of something" = 10 sarcasm points for Lincoln :) Leaving the spill in the edit, and the vlog ending card = 10 editing points for Amanda :)
My mother and I were two of those freezing tourists in San Fran. Wasn’t it Mark Twain who said something like “ the coldest winter I ever spent was summer in San Francisco.”
We can relate to starting something that most of the time turns into more! Glad you didn't have to face that issue with planting the vines. I've never had a spicy margarita, sounds good! I'll have to try your recipe. Thanks for the humor! Love that comment "while Lincoln was on his death bed". haha Hope he's feeling better! Thanks for sharing❤
Hello guys … sorry to hear Lincoln was feeling under the weather … hope he’s 😢feeling much better now … back to his normal energetic state … Amanda ..I don’t know why you feel you have to explain yourself all the time .. us loyal followers that watch and learn from you know your completely sane .. we even love your incredibly dry sense of humour and have absolutely no doubts that your both very normal .“ Your bark is worse than your bite “ ( TIP OF THE DAY ) Amanda …when planting shrubs and trees etc .. when pulling out of the pot before planting ..give the roots a tickling with your fingers to loosen them so the roots grow out and and not round and round for a much more stable root structure… love to you both 🙏🏻🫶🏻
The window cats are always hilarious to see. Definitely need a cat history video! The spicy margarita segment would make a nice RUclips short. Thanks for another great vlog.
Yes, we would love to hear a history on your animals. When we owned a house we took in 4 cats over the years that appeared at the door. Now in an apartment we have 2 brothers from a hoarder's home through the local pet rescue. Keep up the good work.
Yay for the new video update! Your posts are so engrossing. There’s much going on, yet it all seems so cohesive. You even make pulling weeds or filling Guava pot holes entertaining 😂. Thanks for sharing.
Hoping you had a lovely time in Paris and accompanying your daughter. Great to spend time together. Nice cocktail segment can’t wait when you get your kitchen done that you can show us some of your recipes 😘 Love to family and animals.❤️
The downside of covering facades with ivy is that it might, potentially hide structural damage. But I guess what eye doesn’t see, and the mind doesn’t know, doesn’t exist.
🐾 Great brain stimulation for Guava! 🐾 🥰 Just like Boston ivy…..Virginia creeper and Chinese Virginia creeper are non damaging for facades. 🍹 Thank you for the tutorial as margaritas are my favorite drink!!😋
I’m still laughing about the person who wrote “I could never live with Amanda, I think that’s her name, she’s a nightmare”! love your channel and love your sense of humor.
Glad to hear Lincoln is doing better, fended for himself and beat the death bed, It's been awhile since i've falling asleep after a stiff one 🥴, and would love to hear the pets back stories. all my three dogs have come from same family friend that do not want them after the cute has grown out of them, meaning when they get big. Thanks for Sharing...
I ordered a Boston Ivy online last autumn and planted it not thinking I would fret all winter feeling sure it would be knocked out by the frost. Last week I saw some tiny buds. I LOVE IT!!!! Good move I say!
I really love all your posts! You manage to let us know what you are doing and yet find a way to laugh and enjoy your children, pets, the Chateau and each other. ❤
I love Boston Ivy, and I think you got the right amount for your needs. And of course, you say "the cats in the window" and now I've got the Petula Clark song "The Cat in the Window" in my head now. Guava reminds me of my friends' old Terriers that were always after the gophers in Sonoma County in California. When I lived out there I got to where I absolutely hated gophers! Voles, as bad as they are, I THINK are not as bad as the gophers! Love the cats! One of the big charms for me in France has been those little street bands, there were wonderful ones I came across where I lived in Toulouse and Fontainebleau. It's weird in France the liquors they don't have. I cannot find Sherry (Xeres) or Marsala. I had to resort to mail order for the latter so I could cook with it. Makes me wonder how Italian restaurants serve Veal or Chicken marsala. That margarita you're making sounds incredible. The one time I tried one in France it was awful, just like the "Mexican" food I tried. That's one cuisine I don't think they really get here (when you see tacos made out of crêpes, you know you're in trouble).
Hurrah, favourite Sunday night video🎉Please give us the back story on your dogs. I’d love to know and I’m sure I’m not alone. Hope Lincoln is back to full health
I always really enjoy your videos and would love to hear the history of each of the animals....they are a big part of your channel and love seeing them 💗 I also really enjoy all of your content.....thank you so much and loved this video too! Hope your daughter's enjoyed the concert!
So funny, we Californians will do anything for a good margarita in france, we brought back several good bottles last visit. The main thing we really miss living in France, mexican food. do our best to make food at home but....at least we can make good guacamole and margaritas. must admit I've never made my own simple syrup however! we just throw a splash of Oj or pineapple to sweeten it up and of course, grand marnier. ok, now watching you and talking about it... I'm forced to go make a margx!!!
Always love your videos. They are never boring and always have a laugh or two and a variety of fun filled adventures. Happy to hear Lincoln and the kitty are both on the mend.
We had the same experience in San Francisco. We flew south from Montreal where it was a Sunny warm 80* day, & when we arrived at our downtown San Francisco hotel & went out for a walk on fisherman’s wharf it was a very windy cool 70* . Sweaters were not enough to stop the wind chill. We both bought a reversible fleece waterproof jacket with a San Francisco logo on the left shoulder. Well, now it is 18 years later ,and we still used those great $20 jackets in spring and fall! What a great cool & very windy time we spent walking around San Francisco, eating sea food & going on the streetcars, and we also saw Wicked at a grand theatre the next day. What great memories your conversation with Lincoln about windy chilly San Francisco brought back to me thanks for that! I admire that both of you are organized no nonsense & task orientated, in spite of the massive amount of work the Château and huge property require! 👍👍
🎶 Reading a book while on a concert!?! 📚 interesting drink! 🍹 yes, the animals‘ history sounds entertaining, at least how they came to you, probably not their lives before that.
Thank you as always the humor makes me really miss my old guy but I giggle every time I watch the two of you such fun you have .Joe used to say I'm perfect my response perfection is boring and he was far from boring made me laugh everyday for 21 years and now the memories make me laugh cannot take the memories ! Love that you are sharing your imperfect life not bored are you especially with the spicy drink ! 😀😍Eh ! Just an old Canadian girl!
I now want a margarita. Great work as always Amanda. Between filming, editing, you probably deserve it. Always look forward to whatever you guys are up to.
My mom's 4x Great Grandmother was born and lived in Alsace, France along the Rhine River. Looking forward to visiting the little town she grew up in. Your home and property are gorgeous!
If you haven't already, please don't forget to subscribe and hit the like button. Lincoln's goal is to reach 1 million subscribers so he can get some gold teeth and a miniature donkey.
You had me at miniature donkey! Seriously, you guys deserve so many more followers than just us ardent fans. Love you work!
😂😂😂
Just to see that, I think I may have to pay for some advertising to promote more subs 😂
😆
🤣. I love your vlog. Thank you for sharing it with your future 1 million followers
A brief history about your animals would be really nice. So happy to have found you both and what a lovely channel you have.
Please !! I LOVE your animals !!!
Patron Silver is my favorite. I made up a drink I call "Tamarita" using it, Patron Citronge, Po Pomegranete soda, and lime juice. Over ice. No salt or sugar on rim.

Absolutely, she even attends cat concerts! 😊
I think it is so sweet when Lincoln laughs at you and thinks you are funny. You have my kind of humor. Love your videos.
Ha ha the last sentence “I fell asleep” made me 😂😂
Glad Pickles is feeling better! And Lincoln too
Yes, a history about the animals would be just perfect.

Amanda, I heartily second what Rita says about adding a cooking channel when you are ready.

Love the "window art" and I love your channel. Thank you for sharing.

I love that you rescued the stray cats who now rule the chateau and are living their best lives inside vs the barn:-))))
I love how Fluffy and Waffle were there to judge your work and Enzo purely for moral support ❤
Typical cats judging and dog just loving being near you. I love your animals❤❤❤

SO important you get your vitamin C Amanda - especially as a preventative since Lincoln's been sick.
Amanda, the new creepers you have planted will definitely balance out what you have already have planted, good job! We are also glad that our Lincoln is well and back into the never ending grounds and maintenance works. The Chateau is looking good, take care thanks for allowing us to be part of yourjourneys, god bless, give the dogs, cats and the beloved Donkeys all a kiss for us 😇🙏🏰🇫🇷
I personally loved the kitchen content. Would love to see snippets every video ❤

Amanda, the video you shot in Paris was AWESOME!
In my world 🌎 your family's extremely normal 😂. Lots of furries to love and never-ending work to be completed. What a wonderful life!!

You are my first chateau channel and my favorite, hands down. I only strayed to other channels because I quickly binge watched every one of yours. ❤
Guava digging holes for moles, while performing THE BEST downward dog I've ever seen! 🤣
Love your channel. Enjoyed the addition of a recipe!
I love the ending!! 😂😂😂 Great video from start to finish!!
I really enjoy your videos and yes, I would love to know more about your beautiful animals!!!🐈🐈⬛🐕🦮🐕🦺
Enzo is awesome.
Yes to more videos with Animal content, or recipe content, or anything you want to share!
You know what Mark Twain said..."The coldest winter I spent was the summer in San Francisco". Pet tales (or tails) would be entertaining.
Guava’s snout garden was very cute; the weed swinging off the nose. ❤
Yower bah-stun ivy is beautiful in fall! Great video enjoyed the mixture of Margaritas and n Paris also
I now want a margarita. Great work as always Amanda. Between filming, editing, you probably deserve it. Always look forward to whatever you guys are up to.
I finally catched up all the videos. I discovered you a few months ago and I started a binge watch. Now looking forward to the next one.
Darn, thought maybe Guava was a truffle hunter!🤣. Very interested in your pets’ histories!
My mom's 4x Great Grandmother was born and lived in Alsace, France along the Rhine River. Looking forward to visiting the little town she grew up in. Your home and property are gorgeous!
Another great video. Of course the cats assume that they are the stars of your videos, every one else are simply the supporting staff!
