I bought this particular phone some days ago. I have searched the whole midrange category and this one, is the most complete choice among the others. I thought at first to get the Poco X6 Pro, after seeing your video, I understood that it isn't too bad but, I didn't really need all this extra "horsepower" and the more premium feel of the Redmi, made me choose it.
Well, I have to tell you, the photos are really good, very detailed, even if it isn't on the 200 Megapixels mode. I noticed that when the AI is on, there is an instant edit of the photo, I noticed it on grass, when the sensor detects grass, the color becomes greener so, in terms of colouring, it depends if it is recognized by AI and then, it does a bit of color correction and does the image sharper. Until now, I haven't edited a photo via a filter so, the original photo, does a great job until now, I haven't edited a picture yet.
Also, I noticed that if I'm not wrong, there isn't a night mode or maybe it didn't worked on the situation I shot. But, it happened in an almost pitch black environment, the flashlight kicked in but, the picture wasn't great but, it was almost pitch black. On a night scenery with a relatively good brightness, it does a pretty good job on night shooting, plenty of detail and I like that. Also, really low amount of lens flare, on my iPhone 12, the flare was more present, on Redmi, it isn't so distinctive, it does exist but, it isn't so obvious.
Generally speaking, the cameras do a great job, plenty of detail, great colors (I like it when the colors aren't bland), not a particular problem, on most occasions, it does a great job.
I want to ask you, you will know as a photographer, the Macro camera, in which occasion is used? As far as I know and understood, it is used for close-ups, if you want to capture something in a really really close distance (for example tree leafs) a bit more detailed photo but, I have to tell you, the 2 megapixels, doesn't do the job, most of the photos are blurry, maybe it needs a more close distance, a photo in which the camera almost touched the object, the photo was clear, this is the right way to take a photo with the macro camera? How to use properly a macro camera? It is a creative tool, I appreciate creative tools like this one but, I want to know which is the proper way of using it.
Great and detailed work as always, keep em coming, you give some great tips 👍

That is one lenngthy text hahaha :D OK let me get through some things, for night mode first, I do have this in my camera app, it is verrrry weird you don't seem to have it, unless you are on auto mode and you rely on it to switch to night mode? I would say select night mode in the camera app and it should do you well :)
for the AI I honestly don't use this, for myself it is a bit too much when using that on a lot of phones and it is something I do not care for in terms of results myself.
the 2MP macro, so at the top you see that arrow down, either you swipe down from somewhere on the screen, or you click on that arrow, then you manually select Macro in that menu that popped up. It is however a 2Mp resolution of course, so it isn't going to be good realisticly.
for the pictures, I agree, the quality coming out of this phone is perfectly fine :) Yes ultra wide less then, but that is not surprising, when it comes to using the main sensor itself it does really well, and I like how it doesn't have too much saturation and brightness, it is closer to reality (without AI)
Sure it has a bit more saturation and brightness then what it is, but honestly it isn't too far off where it makes me puke colours, and almost start to smell the colours themselves haha.

@@ThroughJermainesLensFirstly, I want to thank you for your detailed answer. As for the night mode, I haven't turned it on, I was on auto mode so, this was it, after searching the menus, I found this particular setting, I will try it with the first given chance. Also, I have found how to operate the Macro cam but, I don't know how to properly use it. I don't expect miracles with 2 Megapixels but, I want to know in which occasion I can use the Macro cam and generally speaking when a macro cam is used.
I use the HDR and AI because, without them, the colors seem bland to my taste so with those two modes, the colors are like how I want them, it's a matter of preference, without them, the pictures seem more natural but, sometimes, being natural, seems a bit boring, sometimes photos need a twist, not something over the top, a gentle touch of edit which seems natural...

    • @SupremeLordEnki
      @SupremeLordEnki 6 месяцев назад

@@ThroughJermainesLens Updates is not really important, im only afraid that by the phone updating to hyperOS 1 it will drain battery fast, it has android 14.
Both phones seems to give identical pictures with decent quality and same price 300/330 euros in amazon for the 512gb version.
I would like them to enjoy taking pictures and recording videos and sharing them over to me as i live abroad.

So some comments, 12T Pro less protection against water and dust,
CPU will be a bit better on the 12T pro, but it get's a bit warmer in turn if you play games, but unsure if that will count for your parents!
for battery life from memory they are similar, unless the phones get's warm on the 12T pro, it will drain faster!
      Now the big part camera!
Low light because there I think the bigger difference is, looking at pictures I have taken on both, I would say the 12T Pro retains the feeling better and is faster in taking shots in low light. The redmi goes for a bit brighter shot and takes abit longer to take the shot.
Ultra wide on both is pretty poor in low light.
In daytime I would say they are very comparable! I would say you probably get slightly more details on the 12T pro but it isn't going to be a BIG difference because while the 12T pro has a slightly larger sensor.
And in terms of video recording the 12T pro is just better!
I do think (again based on memory and could be off because it has been a while) that the 12T Pro didn't have a very bright screen and the redmi is brighter out of the 2.
Hope this helps!? Let me know if you have specific questiosn! Also.... how is the Mi11 Ultra so far!?
