A few months ago I told you in a video about my Nubia Z60 Ultra, and 3 days ago you convinced me to buy the Xiaomi 14 ultra, and today here it is with me, it may not be the best camera on the market, But we know that you don't need the best, but rather knowing how to use what you have in your hands 🙏
it's a phone that still need some work ^^ But it is the best in capturing that feel. It get's more of that proper camera feel over a smartphone photography feel if that makes sense? It's a very different approach, but dynamic range can in turn hurt^^ But I think it's a good trade of if you get that feel in the shot there^^
@ThroughJermainesLens Of course it is an extraordinary camera right now, but it suffers from some things, there is no perfect phone, but it manages to capture the moment as you want, something that the Xiaomi will never beat Nubia is its 35mm lens
@@michel5309 If the 14 Ultra is not the best camera phone on the market, which is? About the 35mm, I think I have read somewhere that the 15 Ultra will have that as well

Great video jermaine i was waiting for this video so long . Love ur content and ur videos and ur honest opinion. Waiting for the new xiaomi 15 ultra i am wondering what this beast will pack in terms of specs. Keep the hard work definitely this channel deserves much more.
Thank you! Sorry it took a while hahaha, and yes very curious what the new Xiaomi 15 Ultra will do, it has a battle at hand though with the new x200 series! And hopefully we keep growing^^
First ! Great Video So Far Man !! Thanks For Putting The Jimmy Fire Dragon Part In The Description For The Shout Out. !! (Sorry about the confusion last time btw ! )
@ThroughJermainesLens 😅😆 yeah true ! My apologies man ! I'll try next time for Christmas 😅😎 Fingers Crossed ! It Was Weird This Time ! As I Don't Think I Got The Notification ! :(
Where I live, the 14T is priced at $380-$400, and apart from the telephoto lens, I don't see any significant difference compared to the 14T Pro. So, I can say I'm quite satisfied with this phone. However, I heard that in Europe, the 14T Pro is priced at $650-$800, and at that price, its camera quality does feel lacking.
So I would say the biggest miss is the minimum focus distance with the telephoto, and the lagging experience with video in the ultra wide. Images with the main sensor are nice though. I would say this isn't a phone where photography is your number 1 priority.
Would you be able to do a video about the base model ? Or use the pro model as a base model to make me get a on what I’m missing out ? Because you make the best photography videos that’s why I’m asking 🎉 thanks for your great videos
Sadly I did not have the opportunity to test that our, so can't fully give you a honest take on it, but the main sensor is smaller on the non pro as well as the telephoto having a different zoom level.. also slower charging and a bit slower CPU
Mi11 Ultra? depends on how long you plan to use it ^^ And depends a bit about your style, but it would be either mi11 Ultra or Xiaomi 13 Pro, OR Vivo X80 Pro
@@ThroughJermainesLens I have a Xiaomi 13 but I am not satisfied with it, the photos are not of sufficient quality and are not satisfactory at all during the night, the phone heats up and lags are visible. @arsalanshabani1110 you have the regular 13? Or pro? Because the regular I never used, harder to judge that one for me, but I know it doesn't have the same quality as the 13 pro
@ThroughJermainesLens thank you, so i chose well, yes master mode is very nice, i ad a little bit contrast to the preset, and is super for my taste of photo, waiting now for xiaomi 15 ultra or global vivo x 200 pro, or maybe ultra
Nice review, thanks! What do you think about pixel 9 pro (or pro XL - the same camera)? better for photography than xiaomi 14, 14t pro and iphone 16 pro?
I wish I knew about the pixels but sadly I don't. And for photography between 14, 14t and iPhone 16 Pro, I would go for the 14, but seeing the price of the 16 Pro, wait for the 15 Ultra because you will get much better zoom and battery life
@@ThroughJermainesLens 15 ultra will be for sure top photo smartphone of the year, but I need sth more like vivo x200 pro mini... I hope they will make it global one day.
Honestly a lot of times I would say focus on a second hand possibly or go for a 1 year old flagship, something like the 14 Ultra or regular 14 will give you nicer results with the camera.
Good review! But, judge the video/audio performance while you edit. There is jerking & juggling in both front & back camera. I think the OIS is not optimised for video capture.
I own a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro and 14T Pro is definitely not a way to go for me... the Mi 9T was one of the first "sub-flagman" devices having the top CPU, RAM, etc. but having compromises like camera (which was actually worse than my Mi 6 tbh) But 14T Pro isn't even using the Snapdragon chip at all. Well, I might have considered it if it had at least a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Now I'm about to order the Nubia z60 ultra
Thanks for the video ❤ However, for a pro version phone, this performance seriously underwelmed me... 😢 Presume you'll be doing a Vx200pro vs X14u in due course? Or do you think the results will be very similar to your Vx100u comparison review? Seasons greetings 🎉🎄❄️🎁
It is more like a performance phone then a camera phone to be fair, but yeah I was hoping better. And yeah I will be doing a comparison between the 14U and X200 pro ;)
@@ThroughJermainesLensThe Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 pro are still using the same main sensor as this and the regular 15 has the same sized telephoto (but with OIS added). Hopefully they have better image processing as otherwise they will be a little disappointing for cameras considering the price. They seem to be trying to widen the camera gap between the pro and ultra models in their flagship series these days. With the Xiaomi 13 series the pro was closer to the ultra in terms of camera hardware but this year and last the pro is nowhere near the ultra in terms of camera hardware
off topic, but when you do compare vivo x100 ultra and x200 pro would be cool to see if the ultras zoom with the ai enhancement turned on keeps up with the pro
I will ;) Sadly I didn't take the x100 Ultra with me a bit ago for those city shots, but I am currently capturing a decent amount of shots with both and the xiaomi. (well currently I am home but you get the dirft^^)
@ appreciate you! Getting one of the two in January and honestly with the lens flare (yes it exists in video a lot more than ultra and even in images after the software updated imo) and the 1 inch being a bit more detailed if I ever want to print an image or throw it on a big screen I don’t see any updates for the x200 pro. Other than the slight edge on zoom (maybe? Unnatural asf?) and video (haven’t seen an improvement other than switching lenses). Of course battery and slightly faster shutter but feel like those aren’t worth the downsides
@@ThroughJermainesLens It is definitely a possibility, i was also wondering if I should splurge on one of the newer phones because of the new battery tech. Do you find it makes a lot of difference?
@curious_abt_it nah it won't make a lot of difference unless we are talking about phones with 6000 or closer to 6000mah, then yes. The 15 series should have that

which one do you think produce better photos overall? Xiaomi 14t pro or Samsung S24Fe?
