Bob, very nice review. It seems these batteries are getting smaller and, give you more value for the dollar. The Bluetooth is an excellent feature.
By the way, I apologize for not commenting on the last video you put out showing the deck that you had built. Excellent job and nice workmanship. Extending your living space as you have done is an excellent idea. I had taken your idea, if you don’t mind, And applied it to my own off grid living by building a deck for my wife and I to use. Sitting out on and, enjoying coffee in the morning or waiting for something to grill in the evening is just wonderful!
    Aloha my friend 🤙

Aloha Jimbo! This little battery is pretty cool. Still over 50% SOC after running the refrig./freezer over 18 hours now. The bluetooth was a very good upgrade. I am so loving the extra deck space! Pretty much where I spend all my time. Makes the place seem so much bigger. Enjoying my coffee right now. Great addition for you and your wife too! Nice! Mahalo buddy!🤙

I love this huge price drop of batteries. In Germany this 12v 100ah are around 200€. My Renogy 12v100ah cost me 450€ 2 yrs ago. Now huge home storage caps are coming. This is great for the the future of renewables.

Them LiFePor just keep getting better ! All that in a small size ! Perfect for a small RV or camper ! Just pair with a MPPT charge controller and solar panel and good to go ! Love that new bigger deck ! Cats are happy with it as well ! Nice being outside and dry in the rain ! Lots of battery deals again this year ! The ones I got last year and saved Black Friday deal are doing super ! I can see some more battery installs after this sale ! I love doing them. The only trouble I heard about as the low temp shorting life on LiFePO4. That REDODO fixes that . For even colder use they have heated type.

Like being a kid in a candy store! Nothing gets me more excited than seeing whats new coming out for all of us, especially living 100% off grid. But no matter where you live, having some back up is just smart! And now the batteries are smart too! Perfect! And yes, easier on the pocket book than the old days huh?!? Aloha brother!🤙

Sure makes it simple for single use. Fiona from Redodo was telling me they are having some sales coming up on the 20th and then again on the 25th for the low temp cut off trolling. I picked two up for $300 inclusive of tax from an Ebay coupon sale and may get the smaller 50ah bluetooth for supplying emergency cpap use since NOT having to install a shunt on a single use makes sense. Its been dark and rainy here in SE Michigan and very low solar the past few days. Glad I have multiple setups now. Aloha from Gary in SE Mi.

Aloha Gary! There really are some amazing deals out there right now, and REDODO been around long enough now that we have total confidence in their products. Plus, everything they keep cranking out just gets better, and cheaper! What's not to love for us off griders? Weather here been a total mixed bag, lots of rain, darker days for that, but also plenty of intermittent sun. I'm actually hold pretty strong...no generator needed which is always the goal. I'll leave this setup as another backup to the backups! 🤣 🤙

A friend and off grid colleague came around to my house last night for a BBQ dinner and what did we talk about "all night" .... yep solar panels, lithium batteries and inverters 😂
I was saying to him, lithium battery manufacturers need to start making batteries in a smaller form factor so we can fit higher capacity batteries in small spaces. By the looks of the battery your showing in this video, they're stating to reduce their battery size while maintain capacity 👍

Hello from way way up north :) Good review 👍, Not Calli weather here lol, Right now fall-early winter -15c at night next week a little cooler, I like but we will see how it goes :) I think they should be good on a trolling motor, I have few things to try one on I guess, 11 years 100% off grid in the sticks & love it :)

Aloha to you up north! 30 years off grid under my belt now. All this new stuff is so much better than the old days, but even back then it was exciting times to be free from the grid. Even more now! Out in the boonies here too...paradise, so quiet. Mahalo🤙

As the cost comes down on the current crop of lithium batteries, you can bet that means there is another technology on the way. Perhaps you could have gifted the battery to your dad as part of the review to see how well it would work on a small camper trailer 😊.

no. Production was ramped up since the last 3 years. And the Li price is dropping after the high time 3 yr ago. Till now, there was never such a mass production of li batteries. And never was the demand so high.

    • @theoldhobbit3640
      @theoldhobbit3640 Месяц назад

@LittleSpot mayhe so, but at this rate, battery demand and the push for EV's, the natural resources will become very scarce. New technology is the only way to sustain solar power storage.

I bought 2 Redodo 100amp with Low Temp and No Bluetooth due to My Victron Charge Controller has Bluetooth onboard and just charged them both up and 1 reads 85% and the other 88% - Should I be concerned on this ? My Smart Chargers have Charged everything else here to 100% and shut off Stating FULL.
    CHINS 12 Volt 280AH @ 8

Aloha GD! You know I get those kind of variables between most of my devices, and I don't worry about it at all. I can read it off my multi meter, charge controller, inverter etc. and plus or minus a few % seems to be completely normal on every system I run. That's my two cents brother! 🤙

My experience: the Redodo app is wonky, hangs up trying to connect, reports inaccurate info, just generally has issues. Battery is ok I guess, but just FYI.
