At the end of his journey, and his fighting he sacrifices himself and his son comes to rip himself from his father. This time the soldiers armor is in gold. Signifying that yes his son will do better than his father.

For anyone that hasn't done so, I urge you to play this game with its original Spaniard dub. The VA are simply SUPERB in Spanish, and this coming from a Mexican guy who normally plays games in english.
Blasphemous is just MADE for Spanish, if you don't play Blasphemous with the Spanish voices, you don't feel the sorrow, pain and rage that they have, wich goes well with the lore of Blasphemous
