I like your suggestion of having your students stand with their back to the bag & then kick straight back. This really does simplify the body movement to initially learn the kick! Then add the turn. Do you find the heavy bag is an easier target to use when learning roundhouse & sidekick than paddles?
Ha! Very funny and informative too. Honestly I like both formats. Each probably lends themselves to slightly different questions. Longer talking format for more philosophical issues and debates, shorter format for more technical and practical demos and advice. I like your take on Chris Hines' Aikido videos too. I've looked at some of his material and find the space management ideas really interesting. I mean to go back and incorporate them into my own personal take on self-defence.
Hi, I just wanna say thank you, i got tornado kick today because watching your channel. I love your explanation technique, it so unique. Subscribe!!!! 😆💯💯
I have a herniated disc and I really would love to return to Taekwondo training, but I'm just scared of the consequences. Certain stretches are forbidden for me, as well as too forceful hip rotations. It's not that bad, and I'm quite flexible, but also all the Taekwondo dojangs, that I can find are quite far. Maybe I should just stop daydreaming and hoping or go to a Wing-Chun class instead (it's the nearest to my home)?
Rotate the hip and let that kick go! You'll see better, have more power, and won't kick your opponent in the d**k 😊 Maybe just don't lift quite as high like a side chamber. Most people don't have that much extension in the hip, so that could be another reason why you want to over turn.
A "qualified" Taekwondo student is "Supposed" to KNOW EXACTLY where the opponent IS BEFORE tthey start their move! Just an offhand comment. Continue on.
Thank you, this really helped me and I’m definitely noticing a difference in the crispness of my back kick!
Fountain of youth is to not take everything so seriously ❤ 👍🏾

TKDguide after sacrificing children for eternal Taekwondo: "I'm sorry, little ones."
I’m NOT making any sacrifices, I’m just making use of what gets left on the mats.
