One more thing to add - I wasn't able to get Autofocus in some high speed frame rates but then figure out the Autofocus works at 120fps and 60fps but for some reason, not at 96 or 72fps.
This probably has to due with the frequency that Dual-Pixel runs at, which if memory serves to my training with Canon is 240Hz. 96 or 72 does divide into 240 evenly and therefore wouldn't permit full cycles of the system.

This is why i should be given the Cm6 Mii . I live in a part of Africa where there’s very few opportunities and the little I get I make use of it.. the camera will help take me to the next step in my career.. and one day Potato jet can be mentioned as on of my destiny helpers 🙏🏾
Nice! I'm curious how you'll match the C300 III with the a7s III - I heard Sony has done a good job with color science on the s3. btw. Really enjoying the videos on this channel and the vlog on the other one!
If you've ever gotten a package via FedEx/UPS gorilla delivery with all the punch holes and crushed edges you'll understand exactly why all those boxes are needed. As someone who has gotten many big box delivery where the otter box had plenty of drop bruises, I assure you its not overkill. Anyway back to the camera. In all fairness to battery life folks need to keep in mind that each generation of camera add a whole lot more features so they're all going to be pulling of the same battery. Keep that in mind the next time you ask for an addition electronic upgrade (such as backlit keys, mechanical stabilizer, enhanced auto focus). All those things draw power and they add up to shorter battery life. On more thing, PL is no longer. They've moved on to a new design. Although all the legacy lenses aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

So if we are honest everyone of us wants a bigger camera because it looks coller, however Potato jet just reached the level that he wants the cameras to get smaller and more compact. A true filmmaker...
I don't care how my camera looks. If anything, I would prefer for it to be as small as possible, which is one reason I shoot Micro Four Thirds. But big cameras are big for a reason. Canon tried to cram essentially a C500 Mark II in a mirrorless body, and lo and behold, there were massive issues with overheating. With Micro Four Thirds, I understand the compromises I am making in terms of shallowest depth of field and high ISO performance, but I'm OK with that if it saves weight, bulk, and cost... especially when it comes to lenses. Your mileage may vary.
Daniel Dougan So i meant it at beginner level and yeah i know different cameras are for different reasons. But when you are a beginner, you want to look professional. I would also prefer for an example the new red comondo to get the red look in a small format or the arri alexa mini, blackmagic pocket 6k or even some dslrs, however a dslr itself just doesn’t look that professional. If i wrote many mistakes, i apologize because my English is not the best 😂😊
I love the camera but the books Gene is listening to are two books I highly recommend. Love watching both Potato Jet and the Vlog channel. Keep inspiring creators and non-creators Gene, Sam, and Kari!

A guy walks into the doctor's office. A banana stuck in one of his ears, a asparagus stalk in the other ear, and a carrot stuck in one nostril. The man says, "Doc, this is terrible. What's wrong with me?" The doctor says, "Well, first of all, you need to eat more sensibly."
I love audible. I have 170 books so far. Almost 4 months of listen time. The new camera is a bit out of my budget but I’m going to need something with better autofocus than my current Panasonic G7’s. Thanks for the information
Asparagus -8 hours. FX9 vs C300iii would be really useful. I reckon they're both great I would just like to. know WHO each camera is for. Also, which is more future-proof, but that's guesswork at this point. I think the FX9 is the smarter slightly more boring choice. I'd really like a C300 but I reckon you can get more gigs with the FX9 + A7siii combo - I think they'll become something of a standard kit for a long time to come.
It would be fantastic to have a comparison a7s III vs C300 III .... including some panning movement, and image quality. The a7s III seems like an awesome camera for video, but the footage from the c300 really is of great great beauty.

Recently bought a Nikon Z6, it's an awesome camera, but I did notice some slight disadvantages to the C100. For pure filmmaking the Canon Cinema cameras are just superior to any mirrorless camera!
Hey Rode, make a vlogger shotgun mic. Just add another mic on the back of the shotgun and split the channels Left/Right. That way you get the subjects audio AND the vloggers voice. I'll take my royalty checks starting next week.
Excellent! Waiting for your IQ compare with the A7Siii, particularly on the color science and dynamic range for highlight rolloffs and shadows dynamic. Also interested to know the AF performance. Thank you.
hey i do professional film and i make really good youtube videos, if you have time could you check out my most recent video? anyways i hope you have an amazing day!
I got rid of our Mk ii for that same mediocre focus problems of the 300 and 500. Our last DP moved us over to Blackmagic Ursa’s for the same reason, and the fair at best low light. We recently did a comparison over 2 days with new SONY and Blackmagic evals (an A7SIII and a Blackmagic 12K). The little SONY came out ahead in so many key areas, it surprised everyone.
As someone who is just getting into making videos and shooting photos, all of this is so overwhelming, but yet so exciting... thanks for all you do! Oh yea, asparagus 🤞
Hey Gene, so the C300 Mk III is obviously one of the best cinema cameras out there, probably my current favorite, but as someone who shoots mostly event coverage, indie narratives, and occasional commercials but never for professional broadcast companies as of yet, and with the C200 now only costing $5,500, I'm wondering if it's really worth it to spend literally twice as much to also get the 10-bit AVC codec. I don't really have a budget as much as I'm looking for whatever is going to be the best value and investment (by investment I mean what's going to serve me the best for the longest amount of time, not retained monetary value). What're your thoughts?
Right now I am saving up for a Canon 90D as I want to start doing more videos and my Canon 60D is just a bit on the slow side and would love the wi-fi in the 90 D.
