      Dont cheat players out of gear they won by using a dps meter as a way to steal what isnt yours.
      Dont use mass insults and swear on Twitch
      Dont go where you arent supposed to be and dont exploit glitches.
      Dont use vpns to log into an MMO

    I had something similar happen to me back in Cata that happened to Soda. My account was hacked and the hacker had cleaned me out. Apparently, he was also breaking TOS as I found myself in some weird out of bounds zone when I got control of my account back. A GM got ahold of me wondering what I was doing there, and I had to explain to him that I was hacked. Thankfully, the GM must have confirmed it by looking up the ticket I had sent and ported me back to SW. I eventually got my gear and gold back. For them to ban Soda after he was hacked is weird especially since customer service would have him on record as being hacked.

  • @venoxxie

    Tbh it was his fault for letting that tcpo guy even stay there. He should have spoke up like "Hey, this guy isn't repaired, isn't specc'd right, is doing horrible damage, etc. Should we REALLY keep him or let him have any loot?" and let the group decide from there or just kicked him if he was the raid leader. Not "Ok let him roll on loot." and think he won't win the roll (since he clearly did). Because that pretty much is loot scam... dude allowed him to roll, he won, and it got stolen from him because of his terrible dps. Ye don't just do that because someone had low dps...

    • @speedbump9299
      @speedbump9299 4 года назад +5

      Going to point this out though. In classic wow replacing people who were not up to snuff was not nearly as easy as it is modern day. Someone would of had to of gone outside the raid and put that they were looking for another member for the raid. This could take quite a large chunk of time to do. Now I do feel like yes he did get screwed over on the loot. Also at that time they used DKP (Dragon Kill Points). DKP could impact your roll score or if you were eligible for roll. This scenario could of been what occurred that made him decide to have everyone reroll it. Now what I believe here is that instead of doing a full reroll it should of just gone to the 2nd person if that was the case. So yeah i do agree it was pretty much a loot scam in that scenario.

    During the Warlords of Draenor era of the game, when I was leveling one of my accounts, there was a quest boss in the southern part of Gorgrond in this cave, and he uses fear, and if he uses that near the entrance to the cave, your character would path through the wall and fall into the void. This happened to me once and I was confused, but once i gained back control I fell into the void below and got kicked out of the game, I couldnt log back on so I had to submit a ticket. An hour later my account was back on the surface, and within 20 minutes a GM dmed me informing me im about to get a 3 day ban...which i tried to quickly explain its their own gamed mechanics fault before I got kicked off. Legit annoyed at that still. I managed to get an unban by calling support and calling out the bs on how it was handled. But Im pretty sure I wasnt the only one who accidently stumbled upon this.

If they don't, even more assholes like payo ramp up their loot shenanigans making the game ridiculously toxic, then people just stop playing cause they don't want to deal with it. Pretty sure blizz dosen't want to bleed subs because they don't want to deal with assholes who change the rules on the fly to the suit themselves.

    • @kippies66
      @kippies66 4 года назад +4

      Agreed. If they wanted to punish the rogue because they turn up with the 'wrong' spec or played very badly, they should have been kicked before the loot rolls or the veyryboss fight itself. By allowing the rogue to roll for loot, Payo sealed the 'agreement to loot rules' on his end. Changing his mind because the rogue won the roll is not a valid reason to withold loot, as at that point both parties agreed to the same loot rules. Violating these rules is indeed a justified ban.

The twitch ones are especially aggravating because you can argue that a WoW GM cannot reasonably browse through hours of logs to determine how guilty or not guilty you are but twitch mod can literally just watch 10 seconds of a clip and immediately judge if it was intentionally malicious or not.

    Raid loot scam? That's really a thing that blizzard enforces now?
    Shit I wish that existed back in wotlk days. I still remember in a nax25 the turning tide dropped, I won the roll and the Raid leader wanted to give it to his buddy instead.
    His "reason" for it is that it was reserved if it dropped but between the two of them they didn't tell anybody.
    So Skampy on Whisperwind,if you are reading this well over a decade later you can chug on my scrote.

      That's really a dick move but sometimes Blizz will give random players permabans while not telling them why so it could be worse. Also a rogue with PvP talents who came to raid with broken gear and DPSed with a bow should be instakicked, he didn't deserve the rogue loot.

      Imagine being a new player and getting invited to content way out of your level and expecting to be treated the same as the people carrying you.
      Like sure hand him some shit gear that no one wants but BiS? Fuck off...
      He will never get invited to any raid with that kind of reputation...

    • @DraconasTenZHG
      @DraconasTenZHG 4 года назад

      @@lazyhero2394 He wasn't really a new player. Raids are endgame content so it means he must have been level 60. And getting to level 60 in vanilla / wow classic isn't a tutorial so he should know how to play and you don't play as a "bow rogue"

    Blizzard security is horrendous. There was a time many years ago I hadn't played in years and my account was accessed by someone and some gold and items were removed. That was entirely on Blizzard's security. I hadn't received any "phishing" attempts, entered that account info anywhere in years. No possible way for anyone to have gotten that information.

    • @KodokuSamaa
      @KodokuSamaa 9 месяцев назад

      Still sounds like entirely on YOU. It's YOUR responsibility to have your account secure, not Blizzard. In fact, their TOS states they can ban you at ANY TIME THEY DESIRE. You use their service, the account is still THEIRS. Anyway back on topic, you could have made a more difficult password using symbols like @! and a mix of capitals and normal letters. Also depending on how long ago this was, you could have an authenticator added, either physical or through your phone. Noone just randomly gets hacked in a game like WoW. You either left your info somewhere or had too poor of a security and/or made a lot of enemies that would want to clean your account.

    Blizzard gave me a two week suspension for saying they have gone woke in trade chat. Being forced to complete a gay quest line in retail, isn’t something I appreciated. Voicing that in trade chat, goes against their policy on harassment. I guess my opinion, is now harassment.

    I own my guild, I have owned it for over 10 years, and my guild is like one big family, and when we do dungeons and raids, we don't greed on loot that we don't need. If someone really needs it, we give it to them. Also if we get trash loot that we don't need, we all get together after the run, and see who needs what, if we don't need it.

  • @JenniferBuechner

    I am sorry, but if someone sends you a photo that is nsfw, and you open it on stream, and you didn't know what it was, you shouldn't get banned or suspended for it. The other person should be held accountable. That is some bs in my opinion.

    Most times, streamers just don't know how to keep themselves out of trouble.
    Sometimes, they just do things that they don't realize are just plain stupid.
    Others are the malicious internet sociopaths that revel in takedowns.
    Whatever the case, people need to be smarter than this. Because you are. Be better.
