As a senior with no transportation the Walmart delivery helps me a lot...about a year ago they were running a special for 1 year delivery for $49/year if you were on SS or any government assistance, so I took advantage. On the substitutions, I always say "No substitutions" bc since Walmart changed their policy if they substitute an item & it's a higher price that's what you pay...being on a very tight budget I rather not get it than to pay extra. What I do is if it's not an item I need right away, I just wait a few days & make another order since I'm not paying for delivery fee. Love your videos!
Same here. Home delivery is a blessing, and saves my daughter from picking up and delivering (which most likely would cost more than the $49 a year special) Deliveries are pretty seamless, on occasion I'll have cracked eggs that whoever did the shopping didn't see since they're on the bottom of the carton). I absolutely hate going into WM! I rarely buy anything name brand, but the Tyson deal was too good to resist so I got nuggets -- two 2 lb. bags for actual cost of $6 something. I am on a very strict food budget so I agree with the no substitutions since what they pick is just about always a name brand at a higher price. BTW, you got my celery that my store was out of...

We also did Walmart grocery pickup today. I am so thankful for grocery pickup. We only have 2 grocery stores in our town, Walmart & Safeway and they are very crowded no matter what day of the week. Grocery pickup is so much easier. Yes I agree the Walmart coupons are great savings. I save the Walmart cash for our twice a year family get togethers. Our grown children & their families come to our house for the weekend twice a year. Groceries for 6 meals, 15 people can get pricey so the Walmart cash is used at those times.

Greetings from North Carolina I too utilize Walmarts home delivery. I’ve been using it for little over a year. It saves me so much time and energy. That way I’m able to make a trip to pickup hat wasn’t available from another store. As soon as my order is made, I begin another list. That way I can always add what I need as I find it.
Good evening Calvin and Marie. I love the convenience of Walmart grocery pickup. It’s actually a blessing for handicap people like myself. Thank you for sharing your grocery haul with us, God bless you both.
When my husband and I started our home, we made it a habit to do our shopping once every 2 weeks. At the end of the 2 week stretch. I pulled anything I had in my cabinets, that I thought I could spare. And stuck it back to start a pantry. And I kept doing this over and over. It did not take long and I had quite a bit stuck back. And anything I caught on a good sale. Even if it was just hot dogs. That pantry I built up. With my canning garden vegetables and freezer items. Saved us through many life events. Saved us through all the shortages of COVID. And have been working to increase it through the coming unknown events of our election and possibly a depression. Hopefully we will pass through these days fairly comfortable as well.
Ya know they say you can't go back home, and that might be true, but I feel like I'm going back home every time I watch. This channel brings back all the good memories of every aunt, uncle, grandma, or neighbor from my childhood in Alabama.
You’re set for the month!! It is a big job, even just putting it away!! Btw- what’s your favorite season of the year? I you enjoy fall? I can’t wait for cooler weather, myself!❤
We do our shopping half and half. We live with my sister and she does half the groceries with a walmart store pick up. I do the rest in person because I like to pick out produce and meat in person. I spend $400 a week We live with my developmentally disabled nephew and he eats very large amounts of food pluss we go through at least 18 paper towels and 2 or 3 4pk klenex's
Good morning Calvin and Marie, I'm doing the same today . It does help a lot I work midnight at the hospital and when I'm off in the morning I don't feel like going in to the store.....so nice to see the both of you, sending prayers and sunshine 🌞 your way ❤
Kroger & Walmart are my main 2 stores for shopping. I get the best deals at Kroger. The Tyson Southern Style Chicken Tenders are outstanding. I discovered them through John & Mama on Facebook & think they are on You Tube also who highly recommended. I know he said to only get "Southern Style." He was so correct they are my favorite. Make delicious sandwiches, or cut up for salads etc. Glad you got a great deal on them. I love Shopping Hauls.
Nice haul! I like doing grocery pickup. I save money by not making impulse purchases inside the store - those end cap sale items are always so tempting. It's always worked very well for me.
It costs so much to live now and if you are on SS it takes every single bit of it. It is really hard being a senior and just having SS to live on. It has been so hot so we have to run our AC just to survive, another added expense. I shop at food lion and they have monthly extras if you buy so much in like the dairy department or others. They had my canned green beans on sale this week 5 for 5.00 so that is a good buy, and I went in and bought about 21.00 worth of stuff and then the total bill was 12.00 after the monthly coupons, so that sure made me happy. The regular price on my green beans is 1.89 or more a can, so I really did pretty good on my canned green beans this month. You really have to save every way you can. I noticed can peaches were more at Walmart than at Food Lion, they had them on sale buy 2 for 4.00 so I bought them at food lion and made the peach coobler you gave your recipe for, I halved it so I would not eat the entire recipe. I will be glad when the freestone peaches start coming in. I love fresh peaches, see yall in the morning for Sunday Chat, Tomorrow is my special 6.99 fried chicken day at Harris Teeter. LOL, I can not buy a chicken and fry it for that, only if I buy 2 chicken breasts, it is more than that.
Hi, i recently discovered your channel. Like within the last month. I like how calming it is. It is good that you can afford your groceries. I too have sleep apnea. Oh, my name is Diane and i am 63. I am a one hundred percent disabled veteran. I am fortunate that the VA finally increased my disability rating after decades of not doing so. But, progress is slow when it comes to the VA. I enjoy watching your hauls. I have done the Walmart pick-up before. It is very convenient. Thank you for sharing.
Welcome to our channel Diane. Thank you for your service to our country. We're glad that you are enjoying our channel. Have a Blessed weekend, Calvin and Marie
Nice haul! I don't do pick up, but make my lists online including prices and aisle so I know ahead what I'm spending. Am fortunate that our Aldi is on the way home. I usually like their produce and meat better than Walmart. Like Marie, when I think of those who don't have enough, I don't complain about price or the work involved. The roll of fat around my waist tells me I have plenty 😂 and I'm very blessed. Thanks for sharing your haul❤
I'm also on Medicare/Medicaid.. it's just me and i struggle with groceries. Some of those months have 5+ weeks in them. Would enjoy more videos like this. Take care
Hi Marie and Calvin...That was quite a haul...You would be tired after putting all that away...Walmart is a great place to order and pick up...I try and shop every Friday...I didn't need much this week so I didn't...I decided to just eat up what we have in the freezer and pantry...I did some baking this week and stuff is lasting...Have a wonderful weekend and God Bless you both🙏🙏🙏
One of my coworkers got me started on the grocery haul from Walmart about 3 years ago and I continue to buy this way. What I like about it is as you said it keeps you from spending 2 hours in the store, there is no impulsive shopping and while I put my order together I can watch/control how much I spend. Walmart is affordable compared to other grocery store available. Savings of 30-50 cents an item. That can add up. There is an Aldi’s that is under construction near me and look forward to checking it out when it opens. Walmart is 3-4 miles from where we live. Aldi’s will be closer.

Good afternoon Calvin and Marie. Quite a haul. We just try & bring groceries in once a week. We still go in store & shop ourselves, old school. A large haul would be too much for us physically, we have 13 steps to bring it in from garage, some stays on that level in pantry. Most has to come up to the first level, at 78&85 it's a chore. Thanks for all you do. Take care . See you Sunday. Sending 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.
@@conniemccollam2605 Stair lifts would be a great option. A friend of ours ended up selling their house and buying a smaller one story house because he couldn't do the steps any longer.
I invested in a wagon and it really helps. My heart rate gets high if I have to do several trips in and out with groceries it exhausts me. I bought a bigger wagon that actually has a dump feature that way when storms come thru and I have a lot of limbs I can just pull it around and then dump it.
I buy all my groceries at walmart and use the electric scooter. It's so funny.I just came home from there and it's ninety degrees. Oh, my. It is true the hardest part is putting them away , especially in this heat.
I lived in Tennessee formally, I now live on Long Island. I miss the South. You are good people undoubtedly, I can hear it in your voices and your videos. I found you by mistake, I am so glad I did. I have been in Georgia many times. I think you are ? I remember Georgia back in about 1970, (showing my age). I went through Macon, Atlanta, and many small towns. Later in life my husband and I drove through Georgia from Knoxville and then Nashville to Florida on vacations. Bless you both. Thank you for your videos, I enjoy them so much, I am a new subscriber…….Blessings…🎚️🙏💐🗽
That was just great, Marie you did a super job describing that huge haul. That could have been our grocery haul, so many alike items. We like very much being on a system for keeping on top of purchases, otherwise it creates uncertainty. Love watching, Deb
Dear Calvin and Marie This was a great informative video. My husband and I use many of the same items you displayed . I have been asking my family members on social security what they spent a week / month on groceries. I was telling them we spent more and get less. We go to the local store monthly and pick up little odds and ends at Walmart.I know there are cheaper stores but they are further away from home. I still walk around the store but with my cerebral palsy and arthritis it is tiring.
I dread substitutions at Walmart. Sometimes I will pick what I want substituted and I still get another brand I didn't ask for. I have been in Walmart and see the shelf full of what online says they don't have in store. I buy Trubiotics probiotics that helps me. It's nice of you to feed the deer.
Lol, Walmart can come up with some of the craziest substitutions. Marie takes the Viactiv Calcium supplements and Walmart always says that they don't have them but I'll walk in and there will be several on the shelf. This happens almost every month.
@@SouthernCountryLiving I just checked my store and the coupons were no longer there so the promotion must have ended yesterday when I ordered and got mine.
Hello Calvin and Marie. We went to Walmart today, but we go in and shop. I like to pick my items out. We do have to rest when we get home. Enjoyed watching your haul. Thanks for sharing. Love the song! Take care. Mrs Lonnie
I miss shopping at Walmart....I'm unable and having home groceries delivered from Walmart is a big blessing to me!!! I put in very large orders and they are accurate and on time. Walmart is great store! Sam's Club too!!
Good evening Calvin and Marie 👋👋👍😎👍🥰♥️♥️♥️. Hope you are well and staying cool. Enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing and giving me some ideas to stock up on. 😁
I live in Central Illinois I often go to McDonald's and do the survey buy one get one free biscuit sandwich or buy one get one free sandwich saves some money and I get a large ice tea for $1 when I buy a breakfast biscuit .
Hello Marie & Calvin,I have never done the grocery pick up.My daughters do however.I have used the delivery when I am not feeling well.Wishing you both a wonderful week end.❤️
I loved the American flag! With the sun was beautiful ❤ keep up the good work guys. Love your videos. Where abouts are you guys. I'm in brandon vermont.
Groceries are getting so expensive, especially if you guys are on a fixed income. I sure enjoy watching your cooking videos. Much love to you both from Wisconsin ❤
I just compared prices at Kroger’s with Walmart. I thought Kroger was to be cheaper but gosh it was much higher than Walmart. An ALDI is located abt 50 miles away. We go there when we have to go into the Dr. We do some shopping at Dollar General for a few item. That is a great savings on the Chicken strips. We have a picky dog… gosh is dog food high. U guys are just the best and most relaxing to watch. Thank you. Stay cool! It is very hot in Southwest Iowa!😊
We are about 20 to 30 minutes to town so shopping can be a bit of a production. We like the pick up at Walmart but for us Aldi is cheaper. However it’s less convenient and you fight crowds and availability. We do have an advantage that being where we are there are farm stands selling milk, bacon, beef, and pork. It costs more but they are our neighbors so we do it. Eventually we may not be able to as things keep going up in price. Your approach to shopping and budgeting seems very wise.
That is fantastic. Does the farm stands sell buttermilk. When I was young we would get fresh churned buttermilk from a small farm and it was the best buttermilk ever.
@@SouthernCountryLiving it does not sell buttermilk but it does sell cream and half and half. My wife eventually wants to make butter with the cream. Buttermilk is really good and healthy has good gut bacteria 🦠 in it. I suppose if she made butter then we would have buttermilk as a result which would be nice.
Marie and Calvin we are in the same boat how we buy our groceries. I feel we safe money by shopping once a month and just go once a week and get a few things. It's funny but I go too two different stores so I can safe a little a month. Lol But we have do what we can when your on a fix income. And yes your right about coupons it helps. So have a great weekend coming.
We do warch for sales on items that Walmart doesn't put on sale. The main thing we watch for is meat and Coke zero. We usually can get good deals at our local Piggly Wiggly.
That’s a big haul, it would take me 2 days to put all that away . I call my order in to Publix and they deliver it to me since I don’t drive anymore. But they are very expensive on most of their items . I was shopping at Walmart ,but I and others started having trouble with their delivery people,so I had to go with Publix. I live alone so it doesn’t take much for me. We have other stores, but they don’t always have what you need from one week to another. I had really like to go to the store and pick my own stuff out , but that is not possible for me. It takes me forever to make my list out ,I think I need something, I go in the kitchen and no, I already have that , so I remove that and start over lol . My kitchen always looks like a grocery store lol one week corn flakes was buy one get one free, I didn’t realize it, so I had 2 huge boxes of corn flakes with no where to store them. So I call my granddaughter who has 6 kids and say please come get some of this food. It doesn’t go to waste for sure. Publix does not take anything back to their store. Here I have wrote another book, sending my love , God bless
Chestene, that is very similar to our experiences when buying groceries. In our area a lot of people complain about their experience with Walmart delivery, so we haven't tried it yet.

It is true the hardest part is putting them away , especially in this heat.
Yes, I know exactly how you feel.
Thanks very much
You lovely couple xx
😊 thank you
I lived in Tennessee formally, I now live on Long Island.
Welcome, thanks very much. Yes, we are in N.W. Georgia. We are glad that you enjoyed our videos.
The Walmart pickup is a real blessing to us seniors. I love watching your videos. Have a great weekend.
Thank you! You too!
Marie, I was wondering what you used on you skin because it's so creamy looking Great haul, thanks for sharing. Joan in Fl.
You are so welcome! Thanks very much Joan
Y'all are so cute !
Thanks very much
That was just great, Marie you did a super job describing that huge haul. That could have been our grocery haul, so many alike items. We like very much being on a system for keeping on top of purchases, otherwise it creates uncertainty. Love watching, Deb
Thank you so much! Deb, you are so kind. We appreciate you very much.
Dear Calvin and Marie
This was a great informative video.
Yes, it is very tiring. Thanks very much Maurina
Great job Marie and Calvin you two are a blessing Marie you looked so pretty today you two have a wonderful weekend ❤ Shelby
Thanks very much Shelby, you are very kind.
Have a Blessed weekend,
Calvin and Marie
As a 70+ senior, I really enjoy your videos! Consider WalMart Delivery occasionally. Know it's more but sometimes it's a need and a treat!! ❤
Yes, we are starting to think about doing that also.
Love doing grocery pickup...I spend way less money than I do walking around in the store. Great haul.
That is true for us also Colleen.
Thanks very much
Hello, Friends. I quick checked my Walmart ap and we didn't get the same deal on the Tyson Chicken Strips. I was going to order for sure.
Hey Kendra, I checked again and almost all of the Tyson frozen chicken packs had a great deal on them. It probably won't last very long.
@@SouthernCountryLiving I just checked my store and the coupons were no longer there so the promotion must have ended yesterday when I ordered and got mine.
❤,,, Awwwww ❤ Hello y'all got a great haul,,,see you soon
Thank you! 🤗
I wish I could send y’all some of my tomatoes and cucumbers since y’all weren’t able to have a garden
Thanks very much
My husband and I have been saying we need to the pick/up service. Thanks for showing the simplicity of it...Mrs.Steve
Our pleasure! We've been doing the grocery pickup since the year before Covid hit. It was especially nice during that time.
Hello Calvin and Marie. We went to Walmart today, but we go in and shop. I like to pick my items out. We do have to rest when we get home. Enjoyed watching your haul. Thanks for sharing. Love the song! Take care. Mrs Lonnie
We love to go in and shop but we really get tired now when we go inside.
Thanks very much Mrs Lonnie
I miss shopping at Walmart....I'm unable and having home groceries delivered from Walmart is a big blessing to me!!!
I put in very large orders and they are accurate and on time. Walmart is great store! Sam's Club too!!
That is awesome! Thanks very much Candace

Looks like a great monthly haul. It's a lot today but I know that it will make the weekly shopping so much easier!
Oh yes, the weekly is just for the food items that we have to have.
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing with us. This will help with budget planning. Have a wonderful weekend and stay cool.❤️❤️🙏🙏
Thanks very much
I live in Central Illinois I often go to McDonald's and do the survey buy one get one free biscuit sandwich or buy one get one free sandwich saves some money and I get a large ice tea for $1 when I buy a breakfast biscuit .
Great idea. Thanks very much

Hello Linda. We are starting to talk about doing the grocery delivery In the future.
Thanks very much

Good idea. Thanks very much
I loved the American flag! With the sun was beautiful ❤ keep up the good work guys. Love your videos. Where abouts are you guys. I'm in brandon vermont.
Thanks very much. We are in N.W. Georgia
Great haul and the cost wasn't too bad considering all you got. See you all on the next one.😎
Thanks very much
Hi Marie & Calvin ❤
Hey Jada
Groceries are getting so expensive, especially if you guys are on a fixed income. I sure enjoy watching your cooking videos. Much love to you both from Wisconsin ❤
Yes they are. Thanks very much
I just compared prices at Kroger’s with Walmart.
Yes, that is right about Kroger. The heat has really been bad this year.
Have a Blessed weekend
Hello to my favorites !!!!! Great haul….and we here in southern middle TN have a lot of fire ants this summer!!!!! Thanks for sharing ❤❤
We have more this year than we have ever had before.
Thanks very much
I like to do grocery pickup in the winter so I can just go in the car and be done.
Yes, that is nice. Also when it is raining and we don't have to get out.
My pest control guy told me the rain causes the fire ants to build their nest hills. I've heard y'all speak of the rain you've been getting.
Yes, that is exactly what happened. I cut the grass, it rained that same evening and the next day I had new mounds all over.
I just love watching you both 🙏🏻☺️
Thanks very much
I've never done a grocery pick up before. Sounds convenient for you though, so that's great. ❤
It really is! Thanks very much Angela
Great grocery haul! It’s the best service ever.
I totally agree!
Great Video , Thank you!!!Calvin and Marie, Take Care!!
Thanks, you too!
Great haul!! I love your budgeting tips. I love you all. ❤️
Thanks very much
Great Walmart grocery store haul ❤❤❤👍👍👍😊😊😊
Thanks very much
That’s a big haul, it would take me 2 days to put all that away .
