Hi! So at .49 seconds the basket you shared was the most valuable piece in the video actually I believe it’s 1800s from Japan. They sell for a few hundred. Very cool find and I would’ve scooped that one!
I kind of suspected this, but it was badly damaged. I also don't resell, so I try and only bring home things I love and want to display in my home. Very interesting though, thanks for sharing!

Oh my gosh those stores had some gorgeous stuff. I never run across stuff like that at our local Goodwill or Salvation Army stores! The oval frame with the little girl and the bassinet were absolutely beautiful 😍!
The bassinet is still one of my best thrifted finds to date!

Great finds. Love the hanging light. I think it might be 60's-early 70's judging by the wiring and finish. I have my granny's Currier and Ives bowl. She used it for rhubarb sauce. I use it for soup.. I have been thinking about getting a bassinet to use as a planter on my porch. I would put trays under the planters to catch water drainage. I say for porch so rain doesn't rot the wood. I would put begonias in it. Begonias do well on my porch.

Hi Elizabeth ~ It warms my heart to see you young ladies searching for the old Bassinets. I borrowed one from my Mother’s a dear friend for my babies and she made me the most gorgeous “aqua” colored skirt with a lining so it was full and she put tiny aqua velvet bows around it. She also made a baby quilt to match it , she was an excellent seamstress. My little red headed girls looked like princesses in that! I still have the skirt and quilt packed away. But of course the bassinet went back to her. Our oldest granddaughter is getting married next summer….maybe I should be looking for an old bassinet, the new ones are much smaller.

I wanted to share that Currier and Ives major artist Fanny Palmer. Look her up. Finally in 2018 a book was published! Mrs. Palmer's favorite of mine the sleigh ride to grandma's house.

I love the chandelier - it sure looks vintage but you’re right - sometimes hard to tell with all the reproductions out there - loved all the frames - I have put family photo gallery walls in my dining room & collected and painted all the frames - sometimes, a totally new paint and sometimes just adding my own touch - especially, when we have holiday dinners, everyone always enjoys seeings the photos so I always keep an eye out for vintage frames - anyway, great haul - thrifting is so fun !
Yes, you can never have too many beautiful old vintage frames! I need to put together a gallery wall soon.

Lamp is missing one pendant.....not old....old wires were round with large round plugs....we are an electrical company of 60 years(finally retired)....but it's pretty and so glad the styles are coming back with that 20's and 30's vibe

I’m in southwest Michigan and our area habitat stores are higher priced than goodwill. I rarely find anything. You did great! I use my bassinet under the Christmas tree for baby Jesus and I put plants in it the rest of the year. You just have to line it really well to protect it.

Thank you for this! I’ve been looking for simple, vintage decorating that’s not over done and you’ve been the closest I’ve found on YT, well done! Most cottage or vintage videos are farmhouse related, which is not what i want. You might be a pioneer in the upcoming cottage core movement.

The glass in the oval frame is convex glass, meaning it bows outward .It's blown glass, beveled glass is heavy thick glass with a bevel cut around the outside edge.
