First of all the definition of 'honour culture' is not very clear (btw from the internet it says sharaf is 'Violating one’s honor might bring a death penalty to the violator and violating the group’s honor may bring about harsh violent retaliation'....horrible) , secondly understanding others' culture does not mean you have to act or interact in the same way. Furthermore the ones who sent the questions just do not seem to understand the situation in Israel (referring to Palestinians in Israel / west bank / Gaza?) They just wanted to 'expose the ugliness of Israelis' lol

I think the Indian girl had the best answer: what is respect in this case? Leaving? Giving handouts? Saying good morning/evening? Shaking their hands when they walk in the store? Not beating them at random? Bringing a chair for grandpa to sit?
What is the respect that is missing specifically?? If it means taking down checkpoints, then, I point to the violence figures from before they became the regular policy and how things are now and I choose like that one toward the end said: better some guy cries for having to get up at 4am than me crying because my wife/kids/friends get killed in a gesture to make that man feel respected.
Also like the Indian girl said: what about when some people will never feel wholly respected and you've made best effort? At what point do we stop?
Personally I treat Arabs I encounter with regular deference and respect I give everyone...Some respect me in return, while others grumble and give me the death stare.

    1. Today was NOT the day to post this! After so many people have been murdered by Palestinians AND an Arab Israeli this holiday in Israel (no matter which holiday one celebrates), this was a disrespectful choice to upload!
    And
    2. It is important to distinguish between Palestinians and Arab Israelis. After listening to the English speaking news reports these past days, I see that even they don't know that there is a difference. THERE IS! And it is an important distinction. It should be noted to help people understand the conflict better. Which is the point of The Ask Project.
    AND
    3. Honor is important to everyone with a moral compass! For example, "Honor killings" are very important to Palestinians! YOU have done videos about it! But to say that we don't understand it and therefore have no honor, or should honor them based on THEIR honor values, is wrong!

Jews feel closer to Jews, period. A Jew from Iraq or Yemen will not feel closer to an Iraqi Arab than an Ashkenzai Jew. Jews from all parts of the world probably were more influenced by each other more than by their Christian and Muslim neighbors.
Palestinians don't like Jews. They don't care if the Jew has family dating back to 10 generations in Israel or if they came from Russia. They say that they want to kill us, period. They are told that all Jews, or at least the majority of Jews in Israel are Ashkenazi. Both are false.

I'm curious. You bring up the issue of "border crossings". How many people are aware that, until 1989, at the end of the first Intifada, there were no crossings and no requirements for permits for Palestinians living in the "territories" to travel freely throughout Israel? Talk about the chicken and the egg. There is no factual question. Security measures are always enacted in response to Palestinian violence, never the reverse. And make no mistake, our 18-20 year old soldiers behavior towards Palestinians are the direct result of their growing up being forced by Palestinians to scurry to shelters with sirens blaring, and explosions shaking their homes. Yes, respect is important, but respect is something that is earned; it is reciprocal. When the Jews' identity, heritage, culture, life is disrespected by Palestinians who relate to Jews as sub-human, they are foolish to expect to be treated with respect in return.

Every Israeli is, by definition a settler. The League of Nations Mandate for Palestine, which came into effect in 1923, obligated the British to encourage Jewish settlement throughout Mandatory Palestine. Tel Aviv is a settlement. Honor/Ghayrah in islam is different than the jealousy of the God of the Bible. God✝️🕎 never harms hurt His "Wife" while in ☪️ violence is permitted justified. "‘RAGE’ is a virtue in Islam … Mohammed said, “”The foundation of the Religion is ghayrah, and the one without ghayrah is one without Religion, for ghayrah protects the heart and enlivens the limbs, and shields one from evil and lewdness, and lack of ghayrah kills the heart so that the limbs die, so that there remains not even shielding from [the minor things].”
The term ‘gheira’ is based on the following Quran verses: “Men are the protectors and maintainers of women” K.4.6 and “Oh you who believe, Protect yourselves and your families from a fire whose fuel is men and stones.”.
Ghayra is the CANONICAL Islamic teaching that provides the legal justification for HONOR KILLINGS.
Ghayra or Gheira or Gheera or Gheyrah in Islam means ‘protective jealousy or rage’. The Salafi scholar Muhammad Al-Munajjid indicates that ‘the concept of GHEERA also applies to protecting Muhammad from blasphemy.’ Any private Muslim is free from punishment whenever he executes someone who insults or demeans Mohammed. Thus, any private Muslim may execute blasphemers with or without a fatwa if the state fails to execute.
Ghayrah (sometimes transliterated as ghayra, ghira, gheerah or gheera) is an Arabic word which means a person’s dislike of another’s sharing in a right (which belongs to the former). It has a sense of earnest zeal over something and can be considered a kind of protective jealousy. In Islam, there are different kinds of ghayrah: that which relates to Allah and Mohammed and which relates to a Muslim. Allah’s discontent is with sharing the obedience of his servant which rightfully belongs to him. For a Muslim it is the rage in his heart which moves him to guard his family from indecency and to kill in the name of honor.
While the concept of ghayrah is the source of honor killings in the Islamic world, but one Salafi scholar, Muhammad Al-Munajjid, agrees with the concept and asserts that punishment of any crime is reserved for the Islamic ruler. But scholars from Al Azhar university have said that if the state fails to punish a blasphemer or apostate, then ‘someone has to do it."
Example of a blind man who murder his sex slave in front of their own child. The prophet justify the murder.

In other words, if Zionism was gonna take place in a non Jewish populated area their expulsion becomes an inevitable action. 10:03....This isreal really make a big favourto the world to hate them deeply.
I just can't imagine and belive that she can say such things to palstanian. I think this people will only learn if some one go and take thire house or rob them and answer to them the same answer as they just say on the video. I really don't know in what kind of morality they brought up or logic they use in there daily life. Palasanin...my heart really out there for you. I really don't know what kind of endurance they have to live on under such situation.
