Most leagues make money from betting apps. PSL will not reach the financial success of other leagues unless it allows betting apps to sponsor teams and the league itself. I understand the religious and cultural reasons behind not allowing betting sponsors but it is what it is. You cannot have both. You want more money? Let them sponsor your teams

It is happening to put to test Babar Shaheen and co against the domestic players and try find replacements because neither they are in the mood to improve performance, nor the board can tolerate public bashing of poor performances by the tried and tested over and over again. At the end of this tournament, you will see 4-5 players minimum injected and fast tracked into playing for the national team. Whether it's the right move or not is irrelevant. This is going to happen
That is one of several secondary reasons. Its main purpose is to make the chairman look good. Improving the team is not a major concern hence the irrational payments to mentors.
They should move PSL window from Feb to Late Sept or Starting Oct. Better weather and more players available.
