I agree with you, the rack is Reason! And I think Reason Studios know it. You don’t need to use Reason as a daw if your a Live or FL guy, just use the rack as a vst. But for myself, I like staying within Reason ecosystem, any workflow improvements they can make to the sequencer I’ll be happy with it, let’s see what they have to show. I own fucking tons of vsts from Fabfilter, Izotope, Arturia, SSL, i don’t need a new synth or fx, I need the sequencing part to be effortless so I can make tracks faster. Great take on the new Reason 13 brother🍻
Exactly, they should just focus on the core stuff that’s always been in reason and improve it instead of introducing new synths and stuff like that. It would be cool if mimic sampler had auto bpm detection so a drum loop would automatically time stretch to the tempo of your track. Minor things like that would significantly improve workflow. A update to recycle would be cool so you could use it in reason as a vst. Serato sample doesn’t give me enough chops.
@@LossLeadas you’re right, I forgot you could just slice it up in the sequencer then bounce it to the NNXT. I’ve just been using serato sample for a while. And when I wanted more slices I would just use recycle since I got so use to it. Also I like how you can just mouse click the chops to play them back. I don’t think you can do that in the sequencer if I’m not mistaken. Sometimes I might chop a sample up into 80 slices and it’s easiest for me in recycle
@@LossLeadas is there a way to playback certain chops in the sequencer without having to drag the cursor to it? Like how in recycle you just click the chop to play it back. That way is more accurate when auditioning the chops before you bounce them to Rex. But sequencer chopping does also have it’s advantages like the ability to time stretch before bouncing which recycle doesn’t do. Really just being able to click the chops for playback is the only thing that still has me using recycle
They need to add 1 button functions to keep us in the sequencer window. Like, a volume kbob and or a 1 button click to pull up the eq to show up on the squencer window screen.
HUGE step for you to be on the inside w the Reason team. They don’t know what they got .. You’ll be indispensable to them and we’ll all get to benefit from your input .
I'll be a Reason user until they no longer exist. I've been with this company since Reason version 3 rewired into Protools and I've been a Reason standalone DAW user for many years. I love everything about this softwarebut I have a feeling the 13 update is going to be one of the best in a long time.
I love everything about it ,I just got in to production and making hip hop the DAW seems to be set up for that type of music I love it , going to start getting my stuff out there soon it's so eco-friendly for making music is so exciting with a DAW that responds to your every command creativity
Man, what they're showing us is exactly what we going to get, which is exactly the same amount of crappy features that we got with V12. What ever else they claim that they got for us won't even count as features, which is always the case. I'm done with Reason, I'm reason 11 for life now.
@@mecd4167Dude you do not know what you talking about. Reason 12 firstly is the most stable DAW, secondly it has the most comprehensive synths. This is a user problem. How many number one songs are being made using Reason? Tupac, Nikki, Cardi, Nispey, Big Sean,Dua. The only guys complaining about Reason have never made a number one song ever. Imagine a whole Reason Studio must change for a person who doesn’t even buy RE. Cause clearly if he did he would not make comments like that.
I've been a reason user since 2.5 and i have learned audio engineering from school and hands on with reason. What I like the most about reason and what you all hate the most is the sequencer is a giant tape machine. If you are working analog, you dont have markers etc. for freeze tracks just bounce in place, its two clicks whats that 2 calories? There arent levels meters on the studer so you go to the desk to see levels. Somethings just cringeworthy it ain't even got be deep I guess....
Its more than just bouncing..i would to keep my instrument this why i dont like to bounce nor freeze bc i tweak my sounds as i create. If i bounce in would want to hide the instrument..so since we cant it serve me no purpose
i'm gonna say what i think about reason 13 i'm a long time reason user i own 12 with a bunch of rack extensions since they changed their authorization scheme in 12.6 they screwed big time i don't like having to re authorize my software every 11 months what if their servers go down? or if they stop existing as a company EXACTLY i loose all my money also reason 13 as an update is simply horrible an 80s analog synth and 3 effects we already have as third party rack extensions plus an horrible redesing of the gui , who wants that ? i know most of you guys are sponsored by reason studios and that's fine we all have to make a living but this is too much BS i wont support this company anymore i've lost more than 1k dollars on this software and i'm mad and i have the right to be mad i'm using ableton live 12 now which i can use offline as long as i want to and it has better midi functionality than reason which is key for me since im a melodic producer reason studios get your sh** together and bring back permanent authorization then maybe i will continue to support you guys buying rack extensions and reason 14 if not bye bye i don't like companies that rob me
Aye that’s real about learning the SSL because of the Reason mixer.. I’m excited about it I got invited to the beta so I’m waiting myself

@@andrebiggz313 why u need recycle when reason basically built it inside of the daw...by using slice edit mode...or Mimic

The fact that there are no developers making any Reason REs anymore should give people evidence of how bad this company is doing.
@mecd4167 i buy RE all the time..new stuff put up. Devs are still making them
I wouldnt doubt it..but u gone stay with 11 when 12 and 13 is better...u better off using another daw 🤣
