Im not young and Im so unimpressed with this update....but this update was underwhelming....if you are happy with it sure...good for you ..but why are you all undermining the desire and wants of others who also spend their hard earned money on this product? at the end of the day it is a product and everyone who spends their money on it has the right to request what they want considering the availability of features in other similar products. its unfair to keep bashing others for demanding more from reason. eg, reason removed the ability to have favorites folders to organise your own vsts and REs. that is a major function many people use...should they not complain? what workflow enhancement did they bring? move the edit window and F8 tool box. I have enough synths, delays and reverbs so i dont need those devices. simple workflow request like have folders in the sequencer for managing big projects has been ignored for years...vst midi to vst midi routing, ignored. $199 is a steep upgrade price, infact its one of the highest in the market, so people expect value for money...

Plus I get 8 devices I don't own and whichever most recent version of Reason is available. Otherwise, I would've stuck with perpetual upgrades. I appreciate you speaking on the constant complainers
I don't agree with the direction of Reason Studios but I am a loyal user. There is still a lot of good things about Reason. I wish they would update all the older devices and stop making new devices and add more features to those older devices. There are too many devices in Reason already. I really don't want to see any new devices from Reason Studios for a while. They should just keep improving the SDK to entice third party developers to make more new rack devices. They should also focus on improving workflow, the GUI is pretty but not always the most efficient in terms of workflow. I'd also like to see improvements in the Remote functionality. I'd like better MCU integration, macros, and the ability to make custom macros like Reaper and Studio One. I always make these suggestions directly to Reason, but we always get more devices. At this point I think that Reason Studios just likes making devices more than they like making a DAW, and that is perfectly ok. I don't think they really wanted to be a DAW I think they just kind of evolved into one little by little. Nice video though. Love the content.
I just got an MPC SE and I been making beats in reasons since 2.0. This review is the most relatable that i have seen as well constructive my G. I will upgrade and make beats in both. Keep banging hard!!! $alute
THat's the thing. They know already. All of it. Don't care. After being with Reason since 4 I've just accepted this DAW will never be better than what it was when it peaked, say around 10. Its all about adding modern features to it year to year with a new synth attached which could just be sold in the shop separately. This was a $69 upgrade. I get why folks air their grevences about the DAW. Reason Studios just doesn't care. You have to accept this is it and deal.
They’re paying yearly because they don’t want to shell out the $500 for the project. They are separate from licensed owners. $129 has always been the update price. Raising the price by $70 to $200 is outrageous. None of what they offered is worth it to me. I usually upgrade all the time. Being a R12 owner I’m cool staying where I am. For $200 I can get a whole new DAW and take the rack with me. 🤷
You can get a whole brand new entire Daw (Logic Pro) for 199.00 To me.... ? This is more of an Update oppose to an Upgrade Take away the new synth...its basic! They should really focus on what they are good at! RACK EXTENSIONS!They should give up the DAW LIFE and focus on making this rack available in the DAWs of the future!

I agree with all you saying...ask yaself this can you still get what you wanna create done in reason?
Explain how you would want and use macros in reason..outside of a combinator.....i have studio one i definitely know they concept
There is a software called Fluor you can run so the F keys change depending on what software you have in focus

All daws has pros and cons because i test them all out..its about what features more important to you...what you NEED & WANT
All companies care if not they wouldnt stay in business and Devs would lose jobs...i just think they short handed. Small company far as devs

I use reason with cubase 13 so idk to update get but you convince me now I updated to reason 13 to use it in cubase 13
