A SCARY WALK AT 4AM IN THE DARK ALLEYS OF OLD JERUSALEM AND A INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE AT A 5AM MASS AT THE HOLY SEPULCHER.
Old Jerusalem is a city that exists outside of time. Located at the heart of the holy city, Old Jerusalem is synonymous with the grandeur and holiness of the witness that this ancient city carries with it. This sacred site is filled with faith and history, with each stone telling a story and each corner of the city taking the visitor on a journey into the past.
Old Jerusalem is one of the oldest cities in the world and has been home to the three major religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam - for centuries. Due to its close association with the faith of these three religions, many pilgrims and visitors flock to the city to experience a part of this spiritually enlightened place.
The historical sites in Old Jerusalem are a sight to behold. Churches, synagogues, and mosques are built using the same stones from centuries ago, but with a different perspective. Taking a walk through Old Jerusalem can take the visitor through the streets of the past. The winding alleys and cobblestone roads lead to ancient places of worship and scripture, each with their own unique and inspiring story to tell.
Old Jerusalem is often referred to as the 'City of Faith', a place to be restored and refreshed in spirit. The city is truly a gate to the past and a window to the holy. It is filled with meaning and purpose, as one can share in faith by reflecting on the centuries of life in the city and the depths of human experiences that are found within it.
Old Jerusalem is an important part of the past and of the present. Its heritage is ingrained in the culture and customs, making it an essential site for those seeking spiritual enlightenment. With each step the visitor takes within the city, they can be taken on a pilgrimage through history, experiencing the mystery and intricacy of old Jerusalem with all its spiritual wonders.

“Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”
“Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” wherever there is a disciple of Christ, there is the Temple.

I have been to Jerusalem many times, but generally I am asleep at 4 am.
Saying that Jerusalem was divided in 1948 is missing the whole story. It was overrun by the Arab Legion, the forerunner of today's Royal Jordanian Army. Almost the entire Jewish quarter was destroyed, but it was rebuilt after the Six Day War in 1967.
The current old city is not where David's Jerusalem stood. That is just to the south of the old city -- literally across the street. It is well worth visiting.
You barely mention the Jewish connection to Jerusalem. That's like talking about Washington DC without mentioning anything American. The Jewish Quarter is where you need to go to see anything of the Second Temple period. There are several archeological sites to see, including the Davidson Center.

I love this, thank you so much for sharing your experience there. I would love more than anything to go there and experience for myself all of the Holy sites but I have a chronic debilitating condition and know that if my mobility never improves, I would not be able to walk around and see everything. It would break my heart if I managed to somehow save up the funds to get there only to find myself stuck in a hotel room the whole time. I’m becoming very emotional now just thinking about it. I don’t have anyone who could push me around in a wheelchair for a week (and I loathe having to use a wheelchair anyway) and I’m pretty sure mobility scooters would not be permitted in these areas, or indeed, practical on those ancient cobbles and steps and hills. Your video is then the next best thing 😊. ❤️ 🙏🏼 🕊️ ✝️ ❤.

      Hello Fairly Vague!
It would be nice if you could go one day, but the most important is that you have now an idea of how it looks like and that is something positive.
Sometimes we have to deal with our limitations, I have a few as well. So, you might not be able to go there soon, but you can experience it by watching videos. You may not be able to walk, but you can do a lot other things in your life. So take advantage of the things you can still do and have great experiences with that. I wish you great health and experiences in your life.

What was failed to be mentioned is the history of that church. The Romans during the take over gathered the Jewish people and licked them in the church and set them on fire while the crusaders had a drinking party outside. Makes me sick. The garden tomb over by my olives is the burial place. I lived in Israel for two years.
    Then rebuilt.

ndaunted, unstoppable, the Crusaders conquered Eretz Israel, reaching Jerusalem in 1099. Once there, they gathered all the Jews of Jerusalem into the central synagogue and set it afire. Other Jews, who had climbed to the roof of Al-Aksa mosque on the Temple Mount, were caught and beheaded. The Crusader leader, Godfrey of Bouillon, wrote to the Pope, “If you want to know what has been done with the enemy found in Jerusalem...our people had their vile blood up to the knees of their horses.” After this victory, the Crusaders retained control of Jerusalem for close to 100 years.

@@margueriteamaya3298 You are right! Many people don't know the history. It's sad. The majority of Christ followers were Jews yet even when Constantine made Christianity the universal religion the Jewish followers of Jesus were still being persecuted and rejected by the Romans. It will always be Jews and Gentiles regardless whether followers of Jesus or not ("Christian" which started out as a condemning name by Romans given to anyone following Christ then accepted by Christ followers as a martyrs mark. ) If we are not Jewish we are Gentiles. The Jewish followers of Christ (Messianic) are still Jews and will always be Jews but not considered Jews by their Jewish Orthodox community, to them they are Christians. There is a lot of history out there. It's sad that there is a lot of false information on the Internet as well. Libraries are still the best "go to" for information. You are blessed to have been able to live in Israel.

    1. Many churches were built by St. Helena! Not just as “churches” but as Hellenic Orthodox Churches🇬🇷☦️
The Church of the Holy Sepulchre was built by St. Helena when she found the location of the Tomb! She prayed to Christ to lead her to His tomb and she saw a “dream” of the Temple of Aphrodite!
Hellene🇬🇷 pagan emperors had built temples of Aphrodite and Zeus over that place!
When St. Helena told that to her son, St. Constantine, he immediately ordered to bring down the temple and reveal the Holy place!
St. Hellena found the place of the Crucifixion, the place where they placed Christ’s body and the Holy Tomb! She immediately ordered the to build a church to contain all these places inside one building so they can protect them!
It’s not that we believe that this was the place of the Crucifixion…
We are absolutely sure these were the EXACT LOCATIONS!
Build as an Orthodox Church by St. Helena there are Orthodox churches inside the church! Latin Catholics and Armenians etc… as heresies of Christianity came later! They later gained “powers” inside the church!
The Holy Tomb includes parts of the original cave in which the body of Christ was laid.
Right across the entrance there is a Hellenic Orthodox Church.
At the place of the Crucifixion there is a Holy Table on which Holy Liturgies are taking place! Latins have their heretic statues and tables always beside the Orthodox altar!
Also, from the one side you can see the rock that was teared in half when Christ died on the Cross! There’s glass and you can actually see the crack on the rock!
There are many more sights inside the church and also the place where St. Helena found the Cross of Christ!
A little bit further from Golgotha, St. Helena found many crosses became the Romans after the death, they used to throw away all the crosses!
She asked from Christ to reveal to her which was His Cross! Then, a plant started to grow on a Cross with a wonderful smell.
On the Cross of Christ sprout what we call today basil!
St. Helena named this plant βασιλικός / vasilikòs > Basil in English because it sprouted on the Cross of the Christ King!
    Vasilikòs means king in Hellenic🇬🇷
Basil means the plant of the King!
Each denomination has a specific time period for their Liturgies!
The authority inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre belongs to the Orthodox Hellenes☦️🇬🇷
We have the privilege and obligation to take care of everything inside the church!
We have time for Divine Liturgy first. Then i think they are coming the Latins and then the Armenians!
The guardians of the Holy Tomb are only the Hellene Orthodox priests!🇬🇷☦️
Also, inside the edicule there are two “rooms”. Entering the edicule you see a cube rock. That is part of the rock that closed the tomb of Christ! In the second “room” is the place when the body of Christ was laid.
Also, you didn’t mentioned the pillars at the entry to the Church!
At 1520 the city was under Ottoman ruling.
The Armenians and the Latin Romans bribed the Ottoman Sultan Murat and he forbade the Hellene Orthodox Patriarch Sofrònios to enter the Church.
Armenians and Latins went inside to take the Holy Fire and bring it out! They wanted them to do it that time!
The Armenian and the Latin Patriarch prayed for HOURS but nothing happened…
Then, Patriarch Sofronios☦️🇬🇷 kneeled in front of the locked doors of the church and prayed.
A thunder stole the left pillar beside the door and only the candles of the Orthodox people were lit with the Holy Fire!
Sultan Murat saw that and he confessed that the Orthodox Christians had the correct dogma!
He converted to Orthodoxy and the other ottomans killed him!
The next sultan when he was informed about what happened, he gave an order that only the Orthodox Hellenes☦️🇬🇷 will have the authority and priorities to this Church and every other Christian sight in the city!
    Even today that rule applies!
Only the Hellene Orthodox patriarch can receive the Holy Fire and only us we have authority in this Church!

I look forward to the return of YAHOSHUA so HE will tear down all the lies of this city and establish HIS KINGDOM!
    Revelation 2:9 - I know thy
works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Revelation 3:9 - Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

    King James Bible
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! Luke 13:34

I had a dream during lockdowns that I was chasing a beautiful butterfly that was glowing and lit up like jewels of white light on its wings. It came through a hole in the sky. I think people were walking around in it. As I ran through the cobblestone paths, surround buy arched doors and windows made out stone on the narrow. Trying to catch it. I saw it fall to the ground and felt shameful that when I tried to catch it suddenly the butterfly was at the ground on the path. I looked up and realized I was high above in the city as I saw white glowing orbs ascending into the sky.

@@landingmodetravelchannel Yes I was there many years ago but I didn't see much. I did walk the Via dela Rosa and that was touching.
I like your night tour. I appreciate art and architecture and the mysteries of course.
I was reminded by the touching comments of the woman in a wheel chair, that the authentic Christos is in us and comes when you call. It is our own heart.
Still, I love the ritual and the sincere invocations. Nice to meet you. Brook

So this is the Holy site of Christianity that means that the “Second Coming of Christ’s” it has to be in Jerusalem then.

It’s seems there in no Second Coming of Christ’s takes place, that means we as an Indigenous Asian Pacific (Kings from the East in Bible of Revelation), we have rights to defend and protect us from this thieves/invaders/manipulate/killer/AntiChrit’s/Devil Beasts.
