Does it healthy for the engine ? To change for the open filter ? Are it can cause some problem ?

GamingGuy if your saying better for engine yes. More air and colder air getting into the engine is better then stock. Only issue is if water gets into the intake while running, but that chance is low if it is stock ride height

GamingGuy I would do cold air intake, CT’s turbo blow off valve, and maybe a Cts turbo test pipe.

i have the same intake, it sounds wayyy better when driving, when reving in neutral or park you cant really tell the noise difference too much tho
I have a 2l diesel engine with stage1 ~ 187hp do you think there will be any power difference?
What's the inlet diameter of the air filter? Want to replace mine as it is perished
should get the turbo mount delete and a diverter value to make it sound even more louder

What tunes you have? Mine is a 2014 B8.5 with Integrated Engineering stage 1, I’m installing the IE catted downpipe tomorrow and upgrade to stage 2! IE air intake is backlogged, so I found CTS, in my opinion, IE looks higher quality, and is skittle more expensive. At the end , I think both do the same. Would your recommend CTS? Thx!
I am on stage 1.5 now( still got the stock cat). I do recommend the CTS. But in my opinion: if you go IE on everything else, i would go the extra and buy the IE intake. It would be easier for them i think to tune the car because they know their products.

Iam from Germany, but I have one quastion, is it not bad for the engine, because, it suck the warm air in the motorblock on? Does it do lower HP? Sorry for my English.

Second: when i’m standing in front of a red light, it will propably suck in some hot air. But when i’m driving it will get cold air. Those black metal plates will guide the cold air to my intake (and block off the hot air)
My tuner told me that this air intake should add 5-7hp.

These intakes have actually proven to lower intake air temperature. The stock airbox is restrictive on these cars and makes the turbo run inefficiently. The more freely air moves into the turbo, the cooler it will be coming out.

Gho, het geluid klinkt iets zwaarder. Het grootste verschil is dat je uw turbo veel harder hoort. Je hoort hem echt zuigen en spoolen.
How did you get the lower bolts to the frame on?
Also where does the heat shield for the turbo bolt on? You showed it on the table but I didn’t see you put it in, nor did you give a detailed look at the engine bay
Shakur Yotiiv I couldn’t figure out how to mount to heat shield to the lower frame. Because you could fit the bolt in the hole of the frame but then you could never tighten it up. So i just used some clips to mount the heat shield.
And the third heat shield i never used because there was no room for it anymore. But my turbo is blocked of with the bigger heat shield. I think i got a kit that was meant for more that one type of engine.
What’s the difference between CTS and K&N?
I don't think there is much of a difference between CTS and K&N. It is both a kone filter with a short rubber hose (for the A4). But in my country the CTS kit is a little cheaper. Around 50euro I believe.

Hi Jeremy, I actualy sold the car a month ago because my oil consumption was getting high 1L/1000km. This was aswel effecting my performance off the car. When i did a decent pull my car would start to shake. It was becoming irriliable. So now i'm a proud owner of a 2014 S3
@@nielsdm5386 I got my A4 engine replaced over warranty. So no oil usage since. Is the S3 problem free. no oil usage etc?
You need a blow off valve, I got one but not a cold air intake, it will make a huge difference to sound

@@carlosbanegas8506 instead of your standard diverter valve it vents excess boost to atmosphere. They are about $20 ebay

Hey bro quick question, do i need to tune the car after i changed the intake?
Duy Tran My tuner told me it’s recommended to tune your car afterwards. It had something to do with the readings of your MAF sensor. But it won’t do any harm if you don’t tune it.

Not sure what you did bro but then bottom bolts are impossible to put in, there is no opening at the bottom to fit anything into it. How the hell did you get them in
I had the same problem until I figured out there are these little black peg things you have to stick in first. He didnt show or mention them in the video.
Did you disconnect your battery during fitting?
gym t No i didn’t. I think there is no need to do this because there is no electricity involved in this job.

I used to have a custom build exhaust. But that one was to loud and to much drone. Now i have the Milltek exhaust.

I think it’s safe to say you bought a not so good cold air intake, because usually when that is upgraded, the difference in sound at the rev stop is literally night and day, but yours had not so much!
i just got the same intake, sounds night and day different when under load and driving, the turbo is wayyyy louder and i have cool blow off and intake noises, when reving in neutral or park the noise difference is not much at all i actually thought mine had no noise difference when i first got done installing and started it, took a drive and the turbo noises blew me away
