The way you just handled the strut with the spring compressor like that is bananas. People usually chain them down to a table and work on them as gently as possible. That tool is extremely dangerous! Lol good 9n you for getting her done!
I literally did this job today on my 209 Si Coupe. I used the Honda Factory Performance suspension kit which comes with upgraded shocks and springs as well as a new control module for the adjustable shock. The rears were pretty easy. The fronts were a bit of a pita. the fronts come fully assembled with new tops. The control module swap was also a pita
People who are going to do this job at home, please don't do what he does in the video and disassemble the strut between your legs. Better yet just buy the full assembly and skip that step completely

Thanks for this video. I'm replacing my struts on my Honda Civic Hatchback next week. Your video will help me conquer my fears on DIY.
Good video
Out of all the vids we have seen your the only one that explained the cv axle movement
Fantastic video. Very explanation for an amateur like me.. Thank you very much.
I knew he would have to do it the other way as soon as he said imma do it this way lol
For anyone watching, DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE SHOCK LIKE HE IS DOING! Nice way to break your arm, leg, or worse.
Everything else in this video is valid.

Nice vid my guy.
What is that extra bolt for? The one you didn’t have to loosen on the top?
It’s for alignment purposes and possibly stability of the strut. More so for alignment purposes though.
at the end of the video the flange nuts on top how much torque do you need for them?
Di man deal wid it a nice way big up yourself my yute.
What’s the part number of the 17mm bolt you took off To be able to remove the strut ?
Can u use brand new struts for a Honda for Hyundai?
No

That's for the shock has nothing to do with disassembly of the Unit
Yo how much does it cost just for the front struts?
I found them on Amazon for 109 per full strut at autozone it’s like 220per full strut
This is a different shop is it ?
No is the same shop
Where can we purchase strut?
RockAuto has KYBs for around $55 each. Good quality struts in my opinion.
