Now that's just sad...Poor guy didn't even have a leg to stand on in his last few years. Seriously, IIRC the man lost both of his legs due to diabetes complications and was living in destitute poverty before he died. You'd think that there would be something in place to help those men who gave so much of their life to this industry. Just something so they're not broke and homeless and at least have access to decent medical care. I mean, it probably wouldn't even make a dent in their in overall profits, especially considering there's so few wrestlers that even make to that age or are able to voluntarily retire in the first place.
I did the same. I even invented some new gimmicks etc. When I got bored. For example Al Sno became Vince McMahons friend and made money in the stock markets, he was Alan Snofield but in the end Vince stole his money LMAO. I had a figure of the Giant (Big Show) from WCW other wrestlers including tall ones like the Rock and Hulk Hogan were only knee high to him lol.
I was breathing a sigh of relief not to see any of mine here. I gave them to my cousin for a car boot sale.... Probably about 80 wrestlers from WCW and WWF mid to late 90's.
My dad bought one of those when i was pretty young, the sad part is that (i dont remember this btw) i opened it when the mail came cuz he was sleeping, and i was so happy new figures came i could play with...
I would LOVE to see an episode on Mick Foley. He's my all-time favorite wrestler, and I definitely think he's one of Adams', too. It might pain him to make an episode about him, though :P
I remember they tried to do a run of AJ Styles collector's figures a while back. Apparently they didn't sell very well because collectors didn't want none.
I still have all mine from when I was a kid... including the bret hart and undertaker figures but they are out of the package and a little banged up from so many ppvs I hosted lol
+Father AxeKeeper true, but I just love the details on them for a figure which came out in the 80s and to me they actually look like who they represent unlike a lot of Jakks Pacific figures like Stone Cold and The Rock who don't even look like them.
I had Andre the giant (red briefs), hulk, junk yard dog, rowdy roddy piper, superfly snukka and big john studd. Can't remember what happened to them but fun times
We used to go to gas stations before WCCW events and ask for the posters and then get them autographed. We have all of the Von Erichs, the freebirds, Bruiser Brody and just about anyone else who passed through that place.
They aren't worth too much money. On eBay the second highest one is a MOC Off the Ropes series 2 exclusive. The highest one is a deal of 3 Benoit figures
I think the only rare figure I have isn't going to be worth anything, but it's the Jeff Jarrett - Deluxe iMPACT! Series 1 figure with the hair variation. When I got Jeff to sign it, he told me I had the error version with his wrong hair color and they only made a few of them.
@@robtierney2569 Now this is pretty cool...Two of only four people he's ever signed that figure for, commenting on the same video. I wonder what the chances are of that happening?
3 WCW collector's cases, with over 35 wrestlers, 30 belts and over 60 cards ranging from hacksaw Jim Duggan to Hogan, Savage and Flair. Good condition also.
The Kamala was actually a prototype . Also another mega rare Hasbro figure is the series 1 Rick Rude with pink tights instead of purple . Now I don't own any of these kinds of rare figures , but my wrestling collection consists of ring worn outfits by various wrestlers over the years .
I own or owned most of those figures except for the LJN Warrior, the Hasbro Kamala, and other than that I have all of the figures, ring, and wrestling buddies expect for any of the AWA figures. I didn't even know they made them. All my figures are beat up though because that's what you did back in the 80's and 90's play with your toys. I'm amazed people even thought about things being worth money back then. I know they did with cards but not toys. Crazy how people still have these items unopened. I have that Elizabeth with the pink skirt and the Macho Man, Hulk Hogan with the red and white, Hasbro ring, Warrior and Hogan Wrestling buddies, Hart Foundation and Jimmy Hart. I have the LJN Kamala and so many more but their all in the worst shape possible.
No mention of the exclusive WrestleMania X7 Matt Hardy from Jakks? I heard those were given out whenever SmackDown Just Bring It was first shown. Few exist, but the rest of the line is easy enough to find. The Matt, however, is another story. I may be a Hardy collector, but I will NEVER own that figure due to rarity and price.
They only received merch that was sent to them then and because the channel was very small at the time they probably were not being sent any so they scrapped the idea
My rarest I'm my collection is a box opened double pack of stone cold and the rock when they first went against each other, it also came with a DvD with the match on it
I legit have the old school Kamala action figure, but he's so bloody & worn out, instead of being worth $10,000 he probably isn't worth anything... but he is to me! He's priceless, since I still play with him!
That home you are showing is in my hometown of Rome, Georgia is a bed and breakfast. The home is a Victorian home named The Claremont House. Thanks, for showing my town some love!
I remember when I was younger my dad always told me for every A I got on my report card I'd get a wrestling figure and if I got all A's he'd buy me a brawling buddy with the figures, I remember passing the stared kamala and passing it up for a limited edition macho man
as a kid i always liked the WCW action figures better because they were more flexable, you could actually do like pile-drivers and powerbombs correctly, the WWF ones were more for show i think.
My favorite were the deluxe aggression figures by jakks,my favorite (idk how much it’s worth) but a deluxe Paul London with light blue pants, it was just such a cool figure
man.. I used to have so many of these... I still have the original WWF ring somewhere with the OLD figures that were big and made of heavy ass rubber. I made this game I would play with my friends where you pull them against the ropes and let them fly and the winner was decided by if A. They ended up in a pinning position or B. Flew out of the ring for a countout. Ill never forget the time I was using Andre the Giant and the only thing that saved me from a countout was the fact that his hair was so big he was hanging from it when it got caught on the top rope. Good times.
I sold a lot of 50 figures a few months back, including Kamala. I just frantically checked my photos on my phone to see if I'd sold a rare Kamala by mistake.......I hadn't :)
I was never a fan of the large figures so I have a ton of the dis-continued micro series, where they only had movable arms, legs and spinning heads, no joints or necks. They were they greatest toys I ever had, use to tape a string to the ceiling and hang belts from it all the way to the floor so I could have ladder matches
Wow, i had Savage. I remember seeing it around my house untill i was 18. Then i lost them. I had all the LGN jawns, or so I thought. I was four. My brother grew out of them. I was always more of a hasboro kid. I never knew there was a Warrior toy
WCPW Announcement Feedback: Great background song, nice text, announcers voice could be a little more enthusiastic and a use more over the top style (delay and stuff, like in some WWE promos). But a good, solid announcement.
DAMN! as a kid i had most of what was shown in this video! the AWA figs (the road warriors), mostly all the LJN first run of figs & the Macho Man (blue card)! even had the WF & AWA wrestling rings!! when I got older my mom sold everything @ a yardsale! I'm still hurt!
Honestly, you want to talk about rare wrestling figures, don't forget prototype figures from the finished products, whether it's testshots, production samples and resin/wax sculpts. Those are like 1 of 2-10, far rarer than many figures in the market.
I'm fairly sure Mattel made a WM7 Warrior Elite figure, but it costs such a large amount of money (usually $75 is the bottom end and goes up from there) that I'll never have one.
I find it odd that no examples of the Moon Belly Kamala are AFA graded (at least that I have seen). Collectors really haven't come to an agreement as to whether or not Moon Belly Kamala is a real thing.
I had 30+ of the Superstars series (blue cardboard packaging), the WWF ring with the blue cage for a cage match. My Ricky Steamboat looked different than this one did though, it was all black tights. Guess I should have kept them
i had the ultimate warrior and macho man black card....had a lot of fun playing with them but i bet id have a lot more fun now looking at the price those wrestling action figures go for
I own about 20 of the LJN wrestlers. My neighbor who was rich had 40 or so plus the blue cage. I never knew so many were made until a couple of years ago.
I've like 30+ figures of the Black Card Figures series... Sadly, they're loose and pretty damaged because we were playing with them as kids. Just finished the video... I have that Black Card Macho Man figure loose too... This one is not as damaged as the others and is still in pretty good condition.
Who else bought so many Ruthless Aggression (Jakks) figures? I even used sparklers as the pyro for their entrance 😂
I could just picture that in my head... lol
😂
The first action firgure I ever bought was Chris Jericho and Christian on a team.
Good times back in 2003
I do and i was so mad when they switched to mattel because the figures were all different sizes
I own shane o mac
Kamala's merchandise is worth more than Kamala made in matches with Hogan and Warrior.
