Terkay reminds of a lot of Dan Severn, like Dan...Sylvester was a top level amateur wrestler and had an MMA Career. He also reminds me of Bruiser Brody in terms of appearance and smash mouth style. Great for the no nonsense strong style in Japan, not such a great fit in the WWE sports entertainment style.
Golden Age: 1980-1993 New Generation Era: 1993-1997 Attitude Era: 1997-2001 Ruthless Agression: 2002-2008 PG Era (Shit Era): 2008-2014 (Somewhere around that) Reality Era: 2014-Present As you can see, WWF/WWE has changed throughout the years, some good, and others bad. Right now, it's shit, literally.
trapped in the 80s Well, you're right Edit: I gave some thought, and you're wrong. PG Era was the worst Era, and I probably should not have mentioned it, but, oh well, I did.
2006 is when it officially ended. Once benoit killed his family and what not they started changing everything. The company quickly changed things and 2006 to 2008 was a transitionary period before the PG Era. Though people in the WWE have said 2006-2016 was the PG era.
Well I'm 4 and when ever blood shows up in match I start crying and my mommy has to put me to bed so I hate all eras besides the PG era. JK my favorite era too
I remember all these guys, primarily because I grew up in this era. This era is what hooked me on pro wrestling. As well as the hayday of TNA. Ahh, memories.
Usually these lists are full of folks I have no problem remembering, but you got me this time. Bam Neely only rings the vaguest of bells, and I have absolutely NO MEMORY of Jackson Andrews. Nicely done, Simon.
Kevin Thorne, Simon Dean, Marcus Cor von (not entirely sure how it was spelled), The Major Brothers A.K.A The EdgeHeads, and Jesse (You know, the guy who used to drag Festus around by the hand, then later tried to embrace the Streets alongside CrymeTyme)
I remember a lot of these wrestlers because the ruthless aggression era was when I got back into wrestling. The ones on this list remembered right away were Jindrak, Delanney, Terkay, Neely, and lastly Gunner. And to be honest except for Delanney everyone else I remembered right away, to me, felt like they belonged on WWE more then the rest of them on this list. I also, partially, feel like if they came back now they'd be a success. With how mellow yellow some of these wrestlers are. Not counting the NXT superstars.
Hey I remember the Highlanders because they had a cool gimmick of badass scotsman coming to whip ass. Then one of them went to a TNA show and got recorded on Camera. Got fired as a result. That was a dumb reason to get fired.
#1 should be Matt Morgan. 2010 isn't ruthless aggression era. If Gunner, who had a great TNA career, can be a "forgotten" ruthless aggression wrestler, then Matt Morgan should have been on the list. He "F-FIVED THE BIGSHOW, DAMMIT!" lol. He was booked like the second coming of Brock Lesnar, then just disappeared.
Bryan R Oh nevermind then. But still, Matt Morgan should have been somewhere on this list. 2010 was like 3 years into PG era, so the number 1 is nonsense
Well damn. You guys actually made a list of wrestlers that I "Totally don't remember" and I actually didn't remember them! At least, I didn't remember 7/10 of them. Good job, guys. Great video!
funny thing, I actually have a Sylvester Turkay action figure. I will admit though, until today I actually never even heard of that Andrews guy, and Gunner Sott
Please do a 10 WWE Superstars That Have Won All Grand Slam Titles except a World Title (or maybe include those that are missing an IC or US title as well).
@JC4R It didn't need to be corrected. It was a RUclips comment of a rough idea. I'm glad we enforce strict efficiency guidelines for such an elaborate medium.
Such a heartbreaking history of wrestlers for me to relive. I remember at least half of those wrestlers. Saddens me that some of them weren't bigger than they are.
I remember being so invested in the Colin Delaney storyline. that extreme rules match between Dreamer, Delaney, Miz and Morrison is one of my favorite matches to this day!
He was with the company for a long time. Most usually do remember Shannon. However, although he isn’t a forgotten wrestler, you may have forgotten that Crash Holly was Matt’s other lackey.
The ruthless aggression era was a pretty good time to grow up as a wrestling fan. 2005 was the most memorable year as a wrestling fan for me to be honest.
Mark Jindrak - i remember. Shaniqua - i remember. Bam Neely - Don't remember his name. But when you showed a picture of him with Chavo, then i remembered. Sylvester Terkay - Don't remember. Manu - Don't remember. Jesus - i remember. KC James - Don't remember. Gunner Scott - Seen him wrestle once or twice... Colin Delenay - Don't remember. Jackson Andrews - Don't remember.
This is one GOOD list! I don't remember almost all of these and remembered only 2 after seeing the photos and hearing details. Those 2 are Manu and Sylvester Terky.
I was a fully time wrestling fan from 2000-2010. I grew up to the likes of Austin, The Rock, Undertaker/Kane, HHH and evolution and OF COURSE, good ol JR. Now when I try to watch WWE it makes me cringe. The promos are awful, the wrestlers have no personality. The whole PG era is awful lol
Colin Delaney definitely grew into this face and became a great wrestler for 2CW. He had some absolute classics with AR Fox while the promotion was winding down.
I actually met Manu back in 2012. He was Wrestling on the New Jersey Indie circuit and they came to my University to do a show. He was the "top babyface" guy and he won a table's match in the main event of the night. He was a really good worker too.
reaper seraphim damn none of these powerhouses ever existed at the same time. No fair. Would've loved to see Shaniqua vs Chyna or Midnight. Or Beth Phoenix.
+Jason Palmer it was racist bitch she obviously didn't choose the name. so her white boss portrayed her as a ghetto black woman. stfu it is very racist.
The Ruthless Aggression Era to me was from WrestleMania X-8- the day Eric Bischoff got fired in the end of 2005. To me the Ruthless Aggression Era is basically the Eric Bischoff Era. (I know Bischoff wasn't the GM until 2 months after WrestleMania X-8, I just say from then since the Attitude Era died at the end of the Invasion angle or WrestleMania X-7 depending on how one sees it)
Colin Delaney is actually a regular at an independent circuit in my city. I've seen him wrestle a whole bunch of times, even met him a few times. He's a pretty cool dude.
Oh and that's super funny about Jesus...during that time I met him in a parking lot outside of a smackdown show. I got his autograph and he said to me...why do you want my autograph? I'm not anyone important. Lol.
I very clearly remember Mark Jindrak, Shaniqua, Jesus, and Colin Delenay. I also remember Sylvester Terkay, but only as "that guy who was teaming with Elijah Burke."
Colin Delany actually trained me back when I was planning on being a wrestler, he's actually pretty good, nice and (surprisingly) can grow a beard, it's actually weird seeing him on this list
oh God someone like me, 26yrs old, who started watching wrestling in mid of '97 and has watched it since, the ruthless aggression era was horrible. close friends and I call those years the lost years of wrestling. just because of how lost and weird everything seemed to be at the time.
I miss Jimmy Wang Yang: I thought the character was hilarious.
I was remembering that dude this week, haha, who didn't liked his gimmick?
he was pretty good too.
He was a great wrestler too.
I loved to see him in action, he was great.
Man I loved him! Great competitor and great on the mic.
Sylvester Terkay's real name is Sylvester Terkay. So WWE is not to blame here. His parents are.
Holy shit, seriously?
What....i didnt know that.
+BatNapalm kmsl
lol
Anyone remember Luke Gallows as Festus? Dear God......
Yep, and he had a pretty decent match with The Undertaker on Smackdown.
Yup. I remember he appeared out of it all the time...until the bell rang...then it was on! Lol
best fucking intro lol
I remember them fluently
This. I remember dreading the match beforehand and being blown away at what I saw.
Golden Age: 1980-1993
New Generation Era: 1993-1997
Attitude Era: 1997-2001
Ruthless Agression: 2002-2008
PG Era (Shit Era): 2008-2014 (Somewhere around that)
Reality Era: 2014-Present
As you can see, WWF/WWE has changed throughout the years, some good, and others bad. Right now, it's shit, literally.
reality era might be worse then pg
trapped in the 80s Well, you're right
Edit: I gave some thought, and you're wrong. PG Era was the worst Era, and I probably should not have mentioned it, but, oh well, I did.
***** Yup, and travel back to the Attitude Era, or spend the days in the Ruthless Agression. Back when Eddie Guerrero won the World Title.
***** Well, no, it was always the Golden Age.
New Era: 2016-Present
2002-2008 RIP Ruthless Aggression Era Thanks for the Best Wrestling matches
Deuce and Domino and The Highlanders
Yeah I was thinking them too.
One of the Highlanders lost their job for going to a TNA show.
I thought it was one of the Basham Brothers, unless more than one super star did that.
+Mr. Boateng and they showed his real name on screen
Greg Pugh Lol, yeah. I was watching that episode. I thought he had been released by WWE at the time, but it was until that episode.
How could you forget Colin delenay 😂😂
Yeah i remember him
+Gyan Fhrank Fiori
If you remember them, they don't deserve to be on this list.
Lol Colin
I remember all of them except Sylvester Terkay and the last guy named.
he was like the new Mikey Whipwreck. i really like him. he had an action figure so hey i think thats a pretty good accomplishment
2010 was PG era, not Ruthless Aggression, Jackson Andrews debuted in 2010, Jackson Andrews was not from the Ruthless aggression era
The PG Era started in 2008, Jackson Andrews debuted in 2010, Jackson Andrews was not from the Ruthless aggression era
There is no such era know as the pg era in the history of wwe
+Sabu and you're part of the edgy era :^)
Isn't 2008-2014 called the Universe era?
no
Colin Delaney vs James Elsworth. Book it Vince!
Does anyone remember Scotty Two Hotty?......
Rhesus literally everybody.
you could probably argue he was more popular in 2000 than Hulk Hogan was in 1985
...and Grand Master Sexay
MaccaBackPacker yes
OF COURSE!!!!!!😯😯
I'd say Ruthless Aggression era ended in 2007/08 maybe 09. Also I think Luther Reigns should of been on here instead of Jindrak.
It ended in 08 because that's when it became PG
Everything started changing after Benoit died
I HAD PEAS BEFORE!!!
SickBoy Freedumb I feel the same I agree Ruthless Aggression died along with Benoit
2006 is when it officially ended. Once benoit killed his family and what not they started changing everything. The company quickly changed things and 2006 to 2008 was a transitionary period before the PG Era. Though people in the WWE have said 2006-2016 was the PG era.
Oh god just fuckin do a
Top 10 worst current wrestlers on the mic!
And 10 the best
#1 not a good guy not a bad guy just the boring guy Roman
Top 5
Balor
Reigns
AJ
Cesaro
Orton
Cesaro is awful on the mike. On of the best wrestlers the WWE has right now, but he really can't cut a promo.
I would replace AJ with Colin Cassady
Woah, Woah. 2010 is the PG era. Try again
This brought bacc so many feels... thanx whatculture wrasslin
vince :
"Who's Crisp penwall?"
Ruthless Aggression was great IMHO. It had the technicality of today's era, while throwing most stupid things of attitude era away.
Ikr
Early RA era was great, but it became shittier as time went on
TheSeaSnake I guess it's because Vince just had to fuck up the split. Still though, Angle's SmackDown? Hell fucking yeah.
***** Hey. I did say "most".
Meh...early Ruthless.
last time I was this early, THE Brian Kendrick was just known as Brian Kendrick
w
Pffffffft, the last time *I* was this early, he was known as *SPANKY*
He went by Brian Kendrick in TNA after he left WWE, so it's not that long ago.
+Tobie Determined last time I was this early he was called Spanky
You must be a bit late .. cause he was known before that as Spanky
Do top ten forgotten wwe world champions
Cm Who?
+The Gift Of Jericho CM Punk😉
Hull Cogan
Chris Pen Wa
Chris Benoit
Nathan jones, Matt Morgan
Trevor Murdoch
Simon has really stepped up in WhatCulture. Him and Sam are my favourite WhatCulture members because they get the least amount of praise.
Sam?? Back to work!!
Dickhead
Erm, Simon gets the most praise (apart from maybe Adam).
My favourite it Sam and jack
Adam m8
What about Marcus Cor Von?
You just explained yourself
His finisher where he would just collide with his opponent was well shit
The Pounce? That was awesome
Most people remember him in WWE because of his hilarious theme music.
He was around for a bit, and had a mania match.
my favorite era
same
Well I'm 4 and when ever blood shows up in match I start crying and my mommy has to put me to bed so I hate all eras besides the PG era. JK my favorite era too
Same
I remember all these guys, primarily because I grew up in this era. This era is what hooked me on pro wrestling. As well as the hayday of TNA. Ahh, memories.
Who remembers David hart smith
What about legendary Braden Walker?
Knock Knock
Who's there?
+COD SuxNow who's there!?!?!
Not Ruthless Aggression but still a legend
who
Ruthless Aggression Era was my favorite era.
Like for Delaney vs ellsworth
Usually these lists are full of folks I have no problem remembering, but you got me this time. Bam Neely only rings the vaguest of bells, and I have absolutely NO MEMORY of Jackson Andrews. Nicely done, Simon.
"Bam Neely. Who??? Bam Neely of course" 😂 😂 😂
Last time I was this early, the World Heavyweight Championship wasn't retired. 😭
Unified isn't retired
+Jed Roberts so the European championship isn't retired?
+Jed Roberts No, the WHC was retired in 2013.
Yep and sadly it's never coming back
Colin Delaney at 5:10 was on Raw today (Dec 12, 2017) jobbing to the Bludgeon Brothers
smackdown
Kevin Thorne, Simon Dean, Marcus Cor von (not entirely sure how it was spelled), The Major Brothers A.K.A The EdgeHeads, and Jesse (You know, the guy who used to drag Festus around by the hand, then later tried to embrace the Streets alongside CrymeTyme)
Zenos Hitomora the major brothers were Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder
Cor Von had such potential but something came up in his personal life. He was a beast in TNA and was a huge get at the time for WWE.
Oh yea I remember Mark Jindrak "The Reflection of Perfection" lol I used to laugh my ass when he used that line.
What about Chuck Palumbo, anyone remember him?
yupp
I do. wasn't he a biker?
+Armageddon3035 yeh
A lot of people do mostly because of his gay Billy and Chuck gimmick.
he beat matt jackson in a squash match lmao
Does anyone remember Sylvain Grenier or Robert Conway in the WWE?
Rob Conway was pathetic
"Just look at me'
Hadarouken I remember him having a match that he said if he lost he'd quit or something. He then proceeded to get rekt in like less than a minute lmao
+Daz yup Renee was only 19 when he won the tag titles
At least they was relevant.
Kenzo Suzuki, Both of the Highlanders, Orlando Jordan, Carmella Decesare (runner up to Ashley Massaro), Rodney Mack and Jazz.
That's a good list
jazz is known by a lot of people
Hey I remember the Highlanders because they had a cool gimmick of badass scotsman coming to whip ass.
Then one of them went to a TNA show and got recorded on Camera.
Got fired as a result.
That was a dumb reason to get fired.
What about Luther Reigns, Joy Giovanni, Tyson Tomko, Johnny Stamboli, Sylvain Grenier?
lol isnt jazz in the hall of fame?
Anyone remember Vito ?
yah the drag queen lol
them eyebrows.lol
Christelle Ybanez drag queen? That was Rico
NaughtyGawd there was a point where Vito was wearing dresses to the ring, I think it was in 2006 or 2007.
He was in wwe svr 2007
ruthless aggression era was the BEST era, fight me
EVD 1202 come on come on come on lets get it on move to the music yeah!!
No, that would feel too much like kicking the the drooling kid on the short bus.
Eric DiCocco Attitude Era.
Anyone remember Zach Gowen?
I remember he got his ass kicked by Brock and his music was dope.
Haha yes! I met him at a WWE House show!
+Ryan Spies same
Gowen was on american ninja warrior
me
#1 should be Matt Morgan.
Not the same Gunner
This is Gunner Scott, a wrestler known on the indies as Brent Albright. Not the same Gunner in TNA.
Bryan R Oh nevermind then. But still, Matt Morgan should have been somewhere on this list. 2010 was like 3 years into PG era, so the number 1 is nonsense
It was 2 years not 3 silly goose.
+150booyadragon OMG YOU PWNED ME SO HARD. I was off by SO MUCH you guys. WOW.
Sasha 0:11 made my heart melt tho! She so beautiful!!!
+nation of masturbation how is that a smarky comment
I stopped watching wwe many years ago but this channel makes me want to start watching it again 🤔
Well damn. You guys actually made a list of wrestlers that I "Totally don't remember" and I actually didn't remember them! At least, I didn't remember 7/10 of them. Good job, guys. Great video!
You forgot the French Phenom, Rene Dupree and his amazing dancing skills
Agreed.
funny thing, I actually have a Sylvester Turkay action figure. I will admit though, until today I actually never even heard of that Andrews guy, and Gunner Sott
Please do a 10 WWE Superstars That Have Won All Grand Slam Titles except a World Title (or maybe include those that are missing an IC or US title as well).
top 10 superstar who are one title away from the WWE grand slam would be better.
TagRoss54321
Totally what I said. Like it up though, would make a great video.
+Gavin Mauk He was correcting your wording
@JC4R It didn't need to be corrected. It was a RUclips comment of a rough idea. I'm glad we enforce strict efficiency guidelines for such an elaborate medium.
Gavin Mauk well, for the grand slam you need the the tag titles too(the only one Dean is missing)
Such a heartbreaking history of wrestlers for me to relive. I remember at least half of those wrestlers. Saddens me that some of them weren't bigger than they are.
Nathan Jones, Luther Reigns, Heidenreich, Nidia, Kenzo Suzuki, Deuce N Domino, The Basham Brothers, La Resistance, The Spirit Squad
Some of these wrestlers came in during the WWE PG era not The Ruthless Aggression Era
Only 1 of them did
Mark Jindrak, Shaniqua, Jesus, KC James, and Gunner Scott all debuted before 2008.
Jackson Andrews was the only one that wasn't Ruthless Aggression era
_ Late 2008,It’s only Jackson Andrews that appeared after the RA.
2008 wasn't the ruthless aggression era mate.
Half of it was. It started in the summer.
+MrSjc1220 Ra era started in June 2002 and ended in September 2008
+JohnnyBoy14532 that's still the summer
+JohnnyBoy14532 summer ends September 21/22
It was until SummerSlam
I need to comment something..

I just got done jacking off so yea
Your picture tho
Work sucked but I'm just playing video games now.
Wow, well done. I actually did forget about Neely, Scott, and Andrews. Another one people often forget is Hade Vansen. Bring back Hade Vansen!
ruthless aggression is not a stupid name, its badass
What about that english dude who was supposed to debut against Triple H (he even cut a promo) but nothing happened lol
Anyone remember his name?
+Big Daddy kiss me first
Roy Malpica Isn't he the guy who got his neck broken by botching the pedigree?
I think he didn't even had a debut lol

I Remembered Colin delenay
1:40 I remember her, it was Shelton Benjamin in drag (according to JBL in November/December 2003)
I remember being so invested in the Colin Delaney storyline. that extreme rules match between Dreamer, Delaney, Miz and Morrison is one of my favorite matches to this day!
Does anyone remember Matt Hardy's rookie Shannon Moore in 2003
I remember when Matt Morgan destroyed him
He was with the company for a long time. Most usually do remember Shannon. However, although he isn’t a forgotten wrestler, you may have forgotten that Crash Holly was Matt’s other lackey.
Brock Lesnar destroyed him.
Mason Ryan is also forgotten aggressor right??????
But he debuted in the PG era not in the Ruthless Aggression era
So did Jackson Andrews, yet he was #1 on the list.
he was doing good in FCW/NXT before he got released
Michael Tarver maybe?
+Flukex1001 this list is confusing. legacy and Andrew Jackson all debuted I'm the pg era
I remember all of these people.

Mooooooooooorrrrdecai #TheTimeOfReckoningIsUponUs #TheDayOfJudgmentDrawsNear
The WWE has no competition. Hence they don't really need to try hard.
this comment aged poorly
That jobber in number 2 looks a lot like Daniel Bryan.
Exactly!
Well can you imagine that jobber getting a clean victory against cena, and maineventing wrestlemania and winning.
This is one GOOD list! I don't remember almost all of these and remembered only 2 after seeing the photos and hearing details. Those 2 are Manu and Sylvester Terky.
Whenever I hear the name Shaniqua, I always think about the character from Def Jam Fight For NY lol.
I love Ruthless Aggression Era
Matt morgan Better be on this list....
You seem to totally remember him.. do you see where I´m going?
Who can forget about the Blueprint
Thankfully TNA came along and helped people remember Morgan. Otherwise he'd have been on this list for sure
Guys were talking about people who were i Ruthless agression not fucking TNA Jesus......
i bet most of you didnt even know Matt until he went to TNA...
Was Simon a superstar in the ruthless aggression era?
Yes he was supposed to team with undertaker at wm 19 but was pulled out at the last minute
Simon Miller, or the man formely known as NATHAN JONES.
+SAWFT yes that is correct
+kingofnothing 😂😂😂
Simon Dean? Yes, he was!
Who remembers mordecai? Kenzie Suzuki? Me!!

Mordecai and Kevin Thorn were awesome.
Mordecai was always one of my favorites!!! I always thought and still think he was so underrated!!
I remember collin from his original ecw run.
I remember: Mark Jindrak, Shaniqua, and Jesus.

THIS LIST
Because you remember him
If you know who he is, why would he?
Former WCW Tag Champ is the only reason i can figure.
+Jamie Rosaia 😂😂😂😂 good one
Because everyone remembers Sean more the Mark Jindrak....simple
Colin Delaney definitely grew into this face and became a great wrestler for 2CW. He had some absolute classics with AR Fox while the promotion was winding down.
I actually met Manu back in 2012. He was Wrestling on the New Jersey Indie circuit and they came to my University to do a show. He was the "top babyface" guy and he won a table's match in the main event of the night. He was a really good worker too.
I remember shaniqua.. She is dominant women after chyna release..
+Mark Yates i remember when shaniqua taunt chris benoit and rikishi.. and when she did handicap match vs tori wilson and friends
+Mark Yates she could've fought dudes to be honest lol.
+hennie Kru or maybe Midnight.. maybe nobody remember her when she debut at wcw.. she is chyna of wcw version..
Guess she is a substitute teacher now... graduated from Rutgers while also playing basket ball for them.
reaper seraphim damn none of these powerhouses ever existed at the same time. No fair.
Would've loved to see Shaniqua vs Chyna or Midnight. Or Beth Phoenix.
Shaniqua was such a racist name.
+Jason Palmer it was racist bitch she obviously didn't choose the name. so her white boss portrayed her as a ghetto black woman. stfu it is very racist.
Shut up
11dark Knight11 Now we have a educated African American on this topic. 100 dollars to who ever convinces me that shit wasn't racist.
Isn't Jackson Andrews the guy that got arrested for whaling on Rosa Mendes?
I could've said he repackaged himself as Chris Brown. Thanks for answering my question btw.
3:23. Dope idea for a legacy photo. Has it already been done?
Oh God, I remember all of these! Lol And I can remember watching them too. How could you forget Collin Delaney? Dude took it like a champ...
The Ruthless Aggression Era to me was from WrestleMania X-8- the day Eric Bischoff got fired in the end of 2005. To me the Ruthless Aggression Era is basically the Eric Bischoff Era. (I know Bischoff wasn't the GM until 2 months after WrestleMania X-8, I just say from then since the Attitude Era died at the end of the Invasion angle or WrestleMania X-7 depending on how one sees it)
6:06 Finally, somebody I don't remember at all
I've seen Colin Delaney live on the Indies multiple times, and he's fantastic, it baffles me how he hasn't been resigned yet.
Yea I remember them all too this guy was pronouncing Sylvester Terkay's name wrong It Tur-KI Tur-KA
Collin Deleney was actually my favorite wrestler at that time when I watched and I still hope for a jobber uprising story to this day.
soon as I saw the thumbnail I actually said, "HOLY SH*T I REMEMBER HIM" .. good times.
I remember Delenay and Bam Neely, but you got me with the rest of them....
Mark Jindrak is working under the name Marco Corleone, I filmed a match he did in Juarez a month ago. He's still in really good shape
I remember most of them. Shaniqua being a dominatrix and Jesus stabbing Cena are two memories I can't erase from my childhood
The ruthless aggression era was my favorite. Especially when Evolution terrorized Raw :D
Sylvester TerKay (which is his real name) was a MMA fighter and NCAA national champ in wrestling. Great guy. He is actually my MMA wrestling coach
Malik Epperson holy shit really did u ever recognize who he was or didn't ask at first
I knew who he was the day I walked into that gym. Great guy. I never asked him much about his time in the WWE though.
Malik Epperson why because u didn't want to bother him with that or didn't want to get kicked out of his gym lmao
